  • Restore deleted default folders

    I was tinkering with my new laptop and, on purpose, deleted those default folders in my "home" directory: "My Music", "Links", "Favorites". This, because, i decided i wanted all my data on another partition, leaving C: only for applications and configs files. But now, some of the explorer functionalities are gone: i cannot use the Favorites tree in the left side pane, also discovered that "My Documents" stores some PowerShell config file. I feel like i misunderstood this folders' purpose and by deleting them, provoked some Explorer instability. Is there any way to restore them? I do not seem to find it.   • Currency Mask

    I need to create a currency mask. I did lines of command and it's works fine, but when i set the value in textfield, occurred infinit loop. I monitoring the textfield with Editing Changed behavior, to catch each caracter that the user set, but when i try to change the text value, the infinity loop happens. :( Somebody have a simple code?

    This is my code: <?php $matchWith = "http://videosite.com/ID123"; preg_match_all('\S/videosite\.com\/(\w+)\S/i', $matchWith, $matches); foreach($matches[1] as $value) { print '<a href="http://videosite.com/'.$value.'"> Hyperlink </a>'; } ?> It's not working. I want to exclude every match that has a whitespace before or after the Link (with the ID). I used \S for this. For example if: $matchWith = " http://videosite.com/ID123 "; it should not display anything. Thank you.

    Host: Linux/Debian/Ubuntu/Mint ( Helena/karmic koala ) Guest: XP SP2 and SP3 Problem: Relatively new copy of XP migrated to vbox-virus free. To detect biral infection it is desired that internet access is limited. Network access to the host is desired, but access to the internet should be limited to a select few sites. The added overhead of network access should be small when the guest vbox is running, 0 when it is not.

  • Is Flash typically slow on Linux?

    Specifically, I'm running Mint 8 (Helena). I'm extremely new to Linux, and was searching for a solution that was user-friendly and GUI oriented. The box won't be used for much other than web browsing and word processing. Anyway, it runs relatively smoothly, except for Youtube videos... especially full-screen, which runs at like 1 FPS, and even after closing, slows Firefox to a crawl until I restart it. I'd seen an xkcd comic on the matter, but regarded it as a joke until now. Is this actually a problem? Are there any remedies I can try to smooth the applications?

    Wondering if I can speed up the search. I need to build a functionality that has to be used by many UI screens The one I have got works but I need to make sure I am implementing a fast algoritim if you like It's like an incremental search.
