• Free country/city suggestion list/database

  I'm looking for something similar to facebook suggestion list with cities and countries. You can see what I'm exactly talking about when you try to create new event in facebook, click to add address, and then start typing in the City field. • Django vs GAE + Django vs GAE + other framework

  I`m looking for opinion which one is better for building web applications(web sites). I have some experience with Django, and some with Google App Engine and App-Engine-Patch for Django. And it seems to me that only Django is working faster than the GAE implementation. • Oracle/Stellen UCM workflow on delete

  I have to admit that "workflows" are not my strong side so here is what the problem is: we have active workflow that initiates when someone changes document of type X, the problem is that it is not initiated when someone try yo delete a revision. Is there a way to initiate workflow when someone try to "delete" document, so the workflow administrator to have to approve all deletions. Thank in advance, Ilian Iliev

  It is a common practice for front-end developers to put the website title or logo in H1 tag and the title in H2. But most of the time the title of the page/article is more important because it caries the content value. So my question is what is the best approac from semantic and seo viewpoint. Examples: logo - H1, title - H1 logo - H1, title - H2 logo - H2, title - H1 logo - other tag, title - H1 Provided other variants if you think they will have bigger effect.

• Google analytics and 301 redirects

  We have a multi language website and the first page redirects to specific language page using 301 redirect based on some logic. For exmaple: http://mysite.com/ redirects to http://mysite.com/en/ The problem is that these redirects destroy the primary request so we do not get correct results for traffic sources in GA. How do you handle this case? Is there something that we can do? Any ideas will be appreciated

• Architecture for html5 multiplayer game?

  Hello I want to write a HTML5 multiplayer game in which there are rooms with two players answering a series of questions with 3 possible answers, 10sec/question, which are being downloaded from a server. It will have some ratings and so on. I want to make it as scalable as possible. I wonder what technologies to use to accomplish that. HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript obviously. But what about the server-side? I have been researching and found that Socket.IO + Node.js + mongoDB would do the job but after doing some more research it maybe not. Can you suggest me some kind of architecture for doing this game? Free technologies, if possible. Or what to read and from where to start in order to understand how to do it. Thanx in advance! P.S. I have an experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET MVC and relational db's.

• Which is a better practice - helper methods as instance or static?

  This question is subjective but I was just curious how most programmers approach this. The sample below is in pseudo-C# but this should apply to Java, C++, and other OOP languages as well. Anyway, when writing helper methods in my classes, I tend to declare them as static and just pass the fields if the helper method needs them. For example, given the code below, I prefer to use Method Call #2. class Foo { Bar _bar; public void DoSomethingWithBar() { // Method Call #1. DoSomethingWithBarImpl(); // Method Call #2. DoSomethingWithBarImpl(_bar); } private void DoSomethingWithBarImpl() { _bar.DoSomething(); } private static void DoSomethingWithBarImpl(Bar bar) { bar.DoSomething(); } } My reason for doing this is that it makes it clear (to my eyes at least) that the helper method has a possible side-effect on other objects - even without reading its implementation. I find that I can quickly grok methods that use this practice and thus help me in debugging things. Which do you prefer to do in your own code and what are your reasons for doing so?

• CMYK 2 RGB Problem

  I have a problem with converting a CMYK Color to RGB. In the internet there is many formulas to convert it but for example when I convert CMYK (0,100,100,0) to RGB, it get value (255 0 0) but in Adobe Photoshop RGB value is (237,28,36) and I want this one. Is anybody know how to convert it with java or .NET?

For example when the program is run and I paste delete 54545 add 4324 the program call delete function with parameter 54545, but wait for enter after 4324 to call second function. And I have no idea how to call it without press enter.

• JS and Body(Window) Onload event

  I have a problem with onload event. My page have 4 iframes and the function from onload event is called 5 times ( one for body and 4 for iframes ). I want only 1 time ( from main body ). Try with srcElement and target property from windows.event but no result... Is there a way to stop onload when iframes load?
