• Passwords in WP7

  I’ve been trying to protect password entry boxes in Windows Phone 7 (on the emulator) SilverLight supports inputscopes to achieve just this. • How do I change the on-screen keyboard for a PasswordBox

  I have a box that I want to take a password of only numbers (like an ATM-card PIN), how is the best way to do that? Requirements: Password (with the hidden numbers) Typing digits as the default (only?) keyboard What I've tried: I thought that InputScopes would be the way to go, but I can't set the input scope on a password box. I even tried putting the password InputScope on a normal TextBox, but that didn't mask the appearance of the characters in the text box. Suggestions?

• How to change active culture on Windows Phone 7

  [Update] I see I need the full example to explain. In my Windows Phone 7 App, I got a page containing a TextBox bound to a Decimal "Amount": <TextBox Text="{Binding Amount,Mode=TwoWay}" InputScope="CurrencyAmount"/> The phone settings are set to German. In german localization, a value like 1234.56m would be formatted 1.234,56 (unlike the US, where it should be 1,234.56). Problem is, when I enter a value like 1.234,56 in the textbox, the content will be interpreted for US, resulting in 1.23456m, when it should have been 1234.56m. So, how do I get the binding on the WP7 to use the current phone culture instead of a generic US one? In Germany people expect to enter a colon for decimals instead of a dot.

• Native ComboBox not displaying choices correctly

  EDIT: It seems that ListPicker is the way to go but I have had further problems with that detailed Microsoft.Phone.Controls.Toolkit ListPicker throws XamlParseException I have the following ComboBox in code: <ComboBox x:Name="Result" Grid.Column="6" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" Foreground="Black" Background="White"> <ComboBoxItem Content="Win" /> <ComboBoxItem Content="Place" /> <ComboBoxItem Content="Lose" /> </ComboBox> But it does not display as I would have expected. When you drop down the ComboBox the options don't appear, it's just like empty items. See below: However, when an item is selected, it displays correctly and the correct index/item is returned. See below: I'm sure there is something simple I have missed but can't put my finger on it. EDIT: Ok I am posting the full code for this.
