• Finding all domain names that resolve to the same ip?

  Lately I've been tracking a spammer on craigslist. I recently discovered that he's added a new technique to his arsenal, he registered a whole bunch of domain names but they all resolve to the same ip address. Is there any way to take an ip address and get a list of all the domain names that resolve to that ip?

• Trying to install Rmagick on Debian

  One of things you need to do to get Rmagick installed apt-get install libmagick9-dev When I try that I get the following errors Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... • How do I get the "Install Missing Plugin" yellow bar to appear in firefox when flash is not installe

  My rails website uses the open_flash_graph plugin to generate flash graphs for my clients. If a customer doesn't have flash installed, it doesn't display any messages, it simply doesn't show any graphs. I've noticed that if I go to other websites that need flash, I get a yellow bar at the top of my firefox window that offers to "Install Missing Plugin". I assume something in the HTML lets firefox know that this webpage needs flash. What code do I need to add to my website to make this work?

• How do I debug a Net::HTTPInternalServerError error when using Mechanize?

  c:/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/mechanize-1.0.0/lib/mechanize.rb:259:in `get': 500 => Net::HTTPInternalServerError (Mechanize::ResponseCodeError) I get the above error when I try to navigate to the following webpage http://fakewebsite.com//admin/edit_building.cfm?page=buildings&updateMode=yes&id=1251 I can navigate just fine when copy and paste the link into a browser. Note: This website does require a login, which I handle with code like the following $agent = Mechanize.new $agent.get('http://fakewebsite//admin/login.cfm?res=-5') form = $agent.page.forms.first form.EMail = "admin" form.Password = "password" form.submit This login works just fine, since I access other webpages protected by the login. I'm not sure where to go from here, any suggestions?

• How do I change the zone offset for a time in ruby?

  I have a variable foo that contains a time, lets say 4pm today, but the zone offset is wrong, i.e. it is in the wrong time zone. How do I change the time zone? When I print it I get Fri Jun 26 07:00:00 UTC 2009 So there is no offset, and I would like to set the offset to -4 or Eastern Standard Time. I would expect to be able to just set the offset as a property of the Time object, but that doesn't seem to be available?

• How to create picture slideshows in a rails project? Flash or otherwise

  In a rails project how would I create a picture slideshow? It could be generated as flash or use prototype or something else. I just want a series of images (as a sub-part of a web page, not be the whole page) to fade into each other, and to advance manually if clicked. It would be nice if I could do things like slowly zoom into the images I imagine there must be a plugin or something to handle this?
