• Implementing Custom Software or Using Ready Softwares at Industy at Machine Learning Area? [closed]

  I am studying on Machine Learning and its implementations. I have different choices in front of me for my future. Testing algorithms by some tools as like Weka and finding best approach and after that implementing it(maybe with using some libraries at Machine Learning) On the other hand I see that there are softwares as like SPSS, SAS etc. Instead of improving myself like that should I learn that kind of programs. Do I reinventing the wheel or if I improve myself and implement custom solutions to customers then can I be a part of industry?

  <dependency> <groupId>javax.servlet</groupId> <artifactId>servlet-api</artifactId> <version>2.5</version> <scope>provided</scope> </dependency> I use that dependency import at my project's pom.xml. My question is I declared 2.5 as version. However does it important to write a lower version? For example I mean that if my project uses 3.0 version and I write that 2.5 will be provided? (I mean that let's accept that 2.5 is fine and my project works well, If I don't change anything else and just change 2.5 to 2.0 does it cause to an error?)

• How to Export a Table to Excel File at Client Side with JQuery?

  I use java, jQuery and jsp at my web application. I want to learn that how can I import the values at my table to excel file with JQuery at client side. There are many examples and suggestions even at stackoverflow.com but I saw the solutions as server side as like Apache POI or something like that. There is a datable plug-in: http://www.datatables.net/ at that plug-in it can be done to export the table data into a excel file I think at client side and so I am searching for a solution as like that.
