• Get Alfresco extension properties with OpenCMIS

  I'm writing an OpenCMIS based application, which extracts some data from Alfresco 3.3. It works fine with standard CMIS properties such as cmis:name or cmis:contentStreamMimeType; however, I can't access Alfresco especific properties, which are present on the CMIS AtomPub feed as "Alfresco extensions": <cmisra:object> <cmis:properties> <cmis:propertyString propertyDefinitionId="cmis:name" displayName="Name" queryName="cmis:name"> <cmis:value>test document</cmis:value> </cmis:propertyString> <cmis:propertyString propertyDefinitionId="cmis:contentStreamMimeType" displayName="Content Stream MIME Type" queryName="cmis:contentStreamMimeType"> <cmis:value>text/html</cmis:value> </cmis:propertyString> ... <alf:aspects> ... <alf:properties> <cmis:propertyString propertyDefinitionId="cm:description" displayName="Description" queryName="cm:description"> <cmis:value>This is just a test document</cmis:value> </cmis:propertyString> </alf:properties> </alf:aspects> </cmis:properties> </cmisra:object> Is there any way in which I can get the value of cm:descripcion, with OpenCMIS? My guess is that I need to use the DocumentType interface instead of Document, and then call its getExtensions() method. But I don't know how to get an instance of DocumentType. Any help would be really appreciated. Regards Edit: altough Florian's answer already worked out for me, I've just realized that I can get these properties' values with CMIS SQL, too: select d.*, t.*, a.* from cmis:document d join cm:titled t on d.cmis:objectid = t.cmis:objectid join cm:author a on d.cmis:objectid = a.cmis:objectid where t.cm:description like ...

• OpenCMIS: Example uses a class I can't find in the whole source

  I am trying to run the CMIS client example on: http://incubator.apache.org/chemistry/opencmis-api-examples.html Unfortunately I can't find the "SessionParameter" class that the example uses. It is nowhere to be found in the whole project's source code: http://github.com/apache/chemistry What did I miss? Or maybe the example is out-of-date?

• Error when saving document of custom type in Alfresco Share

  I am starting a new project and must decide which CMIS client library we will use. Our Java project just needs to connect an a CMIS server (actually Alfresco but it should not matter), in order to perform some read/write/search operations. I am looking for a client library that: is already usable is not going to be abandoned soon has an active community of users is open source Which one would you recommend and why? • CMIS explorer webapp

  CMIS is a recently approved standard for accessing ECM repositories. My idea is to create a repository explorer using CMIS, under the form of an open source Java/JEE Web Application. The main interest would probably be for integrators, using it as a framework on which to quickly build repository access intranet/extranet applications. Of course, if such an open source project already exists, I would rather contribute to it rather than start a competing effort. So, does such an application/framework already exist? As open source? The only one I have found so far is chemistry-opencmis-test-browser, which is intended for tests and seems really inconvenient to extend for business use (no MVC, no IoC).
