  • Any active Bold for Delphi users ?

    What are you using as a persistance framework when programming in Delphi? If the application is growing it soon became really complicated to handle the model in SQL ? Bold is a persistance framework for Delphi win32 that really deserve more attention. I use it daily and using OCL instead of SQL to get data from the database saves a lot of time and debugging. When the model is changed Bold translate this to an SQL script and change the database. EDIT: For those that are interested in Bold for Delphi I have spend this evening on create a site on Google about it. I'm not a guru in html so the design is maybe not so exciting.   • How to construct a build server if unable to build in one step in Delphi XE2 [migrated]

    There is a known bug in the last few versions of Delphi that causes memory leaks when compiling large projects and I don't think it has a work around, if it does I'd like to know. But, if this is just a problem that has no solution, how would one go about designing a build server for a this? I might need to have the build server restart itself between building and pick up where it left off, that seems cumbersome...

  • Decompiling a *.DLL to assembly for .net in delphi 4

    I love my Delphi 4 but at the same time I see the need to talk to windows .net This is a recompiled dll that I found on sourceforge.net/projects/delphinet/ (DelphiNet03.zip) by some nice people that fund the dll from some were. The real answer is to make this dll so that fits into Delphi as true Delphi code, and not a dll clip on. So we can make objects that use dot net in Delphi. Because I’m not an assembly freak, I’m freaking out a little with a wee sweek for help! 1/ How do I link the asm code with the data info at the bottom of this code. Can some one show me which calls to look for to make this link to data. 2/ I need to find the beginning of all the procedures and functions, but I cannot find a ‘RET’ statement.   • sql server 2005 delphi 2010 dbexpress connection

    Trying to connect to sql server 2005 with delphi 2010 gives me the following error after configuring the data explorer: 'Borland.data.TDBXError: DBX Error: Driver could not be properly initialized. Client library may be missing, not installed properly, or wrong version' I know there is a work around by installing the sql server 2008 management studio. But this is not a good solution if all pc's need to have this prerequirement. Anybody know a better solution/fix. Delphi 6 does not have this problem.

    Hi, we are developing a SOAP webservice (Apache/PHP). All run well for small size calls, but with a 1Mb soap call (the HTTPS call size is 1MB) our Delphi Soap client stop with a timeout on all PC but one, and our PHP clients run well with a default_socket_timeout=300, but stop with a "Error Fetching http headers" with default_socket_timeout=60. How can we change the timeout for Delphi? In fact this timeout seem to be in a Windows XP network library (wininet.dll called by soaphttptrans.pas) Thanks Cédric

  • How to display a thumb image or first frame from a MP4 file using Delphi 7

    Hi, I need to display a thumbnail preview of a folder full of MP4 files. So, is there a Delphi 7 component which extract a thumbnail image from MP4 files (if MP4 does contain a thumbnail image), or is there a Delphi 7 component which can extract the 1st frame from a MP4 file ? I need to extract it so I can save it to a .jpg or .png file (to be used again later on). Any ideas, Thanks.

    I'm just getting started in Visual Studio 2010 and I'm coming from Delphi 7. In Visual Studio 2010, what is the equivalent to Delphi's Object TreeView? Or to ask it another way, in Visual Studio 2010, during WinForm Gui development, how do you navigate your Gui hierarchically? If I have, say, a bunch of Panels with some of them inside of others and some Docked to Client, how can I directly select a specific Panel?
