  • Displaying XML in Chrome Browser

    I love the Chrome browser but I use XML quite a lot in my development work and when I view it in Chrome I just get the rendered text. I know that the source view is slightly better but I'd really like to see the layout and functionality that IE adds to XML namely: Highlighting Open/close nodes Any ideas how I can get this on Chrome?     Hello, i have a weired problem here, i'm running windows vista which is connected to the internet throught a 3g key, so sometimes i go to see how much datas are being downloaded and i find 200kb/s even if i don't use the internet, i closed all softwares like antivirus and everything and still the internet being consumed, thanks god because i only pay by month. So is there a tool for pc to monitor the softwares that are using my connexion? Thanks

    I'm trying to find a place where I can download both Vista Home Premium and Windows 7 OEM Iso's. I own both, and my hard drive died in my Vista computer, so I ran out, bought another one and now need to re-install my OS. However, the computer came with it, and didn't come with a disk (Thanks Acer!) So, is there a place I can download an ISO of my Windows that ISN'T illegaly activated? I can't find any torrents that are legitimate. Thanks in advance!

    Hi There! I have an issue with expiration date in emails. For example, I have a subscription which expires on 1st FEB 2010 and I am purchasing new subscription (renewing my role). When order is complete Ubercart CA (Condition actions) sends an email about role renewal and new expiration date ([role-expiration-short]). But the message contains wrong expiration date I've noticed that on each order email contains N-1 expiration, where N - current purchase. This is email message: [order-first-name] [order-last-name], Thanks to your order, [order-link], at [store-name] you have renewed the role, [role-name]. It is now set to expire on [role-expiration-short] <- ISSUE IS HERE. Thanks again, [store-name] [site-slogan] Any ideas? Thanks!

  • jQuery fadeout a div that's revealed by php and not Javascript?

    Seems like this might be easy, but from reading other SO answers there are a number of ways for it to possibly work: I have the "thanks" div below that shows when a php form is sucessfully submitted: <?php if(isset($emailSent) && $emailSent == true) { ?> <div class="thanks"></div> The page does not reload after the form is submitted; the php for the form is included in the page header, the php above is in <body>, and when the form is submitted, the "thanks" div appears. Question: How can the div be faded out (or simply removed) after a few seconds? Document ready doesn't seem like it would work because the page is not reloaded. Can jQuery detect the appearance of the div and then start the fadeout timer? If possible, I'd like to stay with the php form and not move to a jQuery form.

    I have looked and searched for some guidance on how to start at a low point in a path and walk up (or 'back'), until I find a folder with the name I am searching for. The FileVisitor class looks like it ought to be able to help me, but it only seems to work from head to toe. Is there something that someone could point me to? ORIGINAL QUESTION I have two executable files I downloaded and am trying to add to the path. They are located in /home/user/folder and the specific files are /home/user/folder/app1 /home/user/folder/app2 Both app1 and app2 have the executable flag set to all (user, group, other). I can execute the files if I am in /home/user/folder and I execute these commands ./app1 ./app2 However I can't run them from elsewhere. I added this line to my .profile PATH="$PATH:/home/user/folder" and then sourced the path with . /home/user/.profile and I can see app1 and app2 when I use command completion (pressing tab). However here is what happens when I try to run app1 or app2 with the following commands (the following only shows 'app1' but the same is true of 'app2') user@comp:~$ app1 -bash: app1: command not found user@comp:~$ /home/user/folder/app1 -bash: app1: command not found user@comp:~/folder$ ./app1 (program runs) I'm stumped :), I must have missed something simple.   • libgdx spite position relative to body

    Apologies if this is a reiteration, as I couldn't find another discussion of this over the past couple days. Issue: I'm using libgdx and box2d, and I'm currently updating the sprite's position to the body's current position every render call. Using a debugRenderer to see the bodies, I see that there is fairly noticeable lag between the movement/position of the body and the sprite that is being moved relative to it. Question: Is this lag normal, possibly to perform collisions ahead of time? If not, should I be manipulating/relating the positions differently? Thanks in advance! [Solution] This was a coding error on my part. Pointed out by a good reply below, I was updating the position of the sprite relative to the body and then stepping the physics. Thus never actually setting the sprite to the body's CURRENT position. Thanks!

  • Plan Operator Tuesday round-up

    Eighteen posts for T-SQL Tuesday #43 this month, discussing Plan Operators. I put them together and made the following clickable plan. It’s 1000px wide, so I hope you have a monitor wide enough. Let me explain this plan for you (people’s names are the links to the articles on their blogs – the same links as in the plan above). It was clearly a SELECT statement. Wayne Sheffield (@dbawayne) wrote about that, so we start with a SELECT physical operator, leveraging the logical operator Wayne Sheffield. The SELECT operator calls the Paul White operator, discussed by Jason Brimhall (@sqlrnnr) in his post. The Paul White operator is quite remarkable, and can consume three streams of data. Let’s look at those streams. The first pulls data from a Table Scan – Boris Hristov (@borishristov)’s post – using parallel threads (Bradley Ball – @sqlballs) that pull the data eagerly through a Table Spool (Oliver Asmus – @oliverasmus). A scalar operation is also performed on it, thanks to Jeffrey Verheul (@devjef)’s Compute Scalar operator. The second stream of data applies Evil (I figured that must mean a procedural TVF, but could’ve been anything), courtesy of Jason Strate (@stratesql). It performs this Evil on the merging of parallel streams (Steve Jones – @way0utwest), which suck data out of a Switch (Paul White – @sql_kiwi). This Switch operator is consuming data from up to four lookups, thanks to Kalen Delaney (@sqlqueen), Rick Krueger (@dataogre), Mickey Stuewe (@sqlmickey) and Kathi Kellenberger (@auntkathi). Unfortunately Kathi’s name is a bit long and has been truncated, just like in real plans. The last stream performs a join of two others via a Nested Loop (Matan Yungman – @matanyungman). One pulls data from a Spool (my post – @rob_farley) populated from a Table Scan (Jon Morisi). The other applies a catchall operator (the catchall is because Tamera Clark (@tameraclark) didn’t specify any particular operator, and a catchall is what gets shown when SSMS doesn’t know what to show. Surprisingly, it’s showing the yellow one, which is about cursors. Hopefully that’s not what Tamera planned, but anyway...) to the output from an Index Seek operator (Sebastian Meine – @sqlity). Lastly, I think everyone put in 110% effort, so that’s what all the operators cost. That didn’t leave anything for me, unfortunately, but that’s okay. Also, because he decided to use the Paul White operator, Jason Brimhall gets 0%, and his 110% was given to Paul’s Switch operator post.
