  • C# Creating thumbnail (low quality and big size problem)

    - by ile
    public void CreateThumbnail(Image img1, Photo photo, string targetDirectoryThumbs) { int newWidth = 700; int newHeight = 700; double ratio = 0; if (img1.Width > img1.Height) { ratio = img1.Width / (double)img1.Height; newHeight = (int)(newHeight / ratio); } else { ratio = img1.Height / (double)img1.Width; newWidth = (int)(newWidth / ratio); } Image bmp1 = img1.GetThumbnailImage(newWidth, newHeight, null, IntPtr.Zero); bmp1.Save(targetDirectoryThumbs + photo.PhotoID + ".jpg"); img1.Dispose(); bmp1.Dispose(); } I've put 700px so that you can have better insight of the problem. Here is original image and resized one. Any good recommendation? Thanks, Ile

  • Calling ASP.NET web service function via GET method with jQuery

    - by the_V
    Hi, I'm trying to call web service function via GET method using jQuery, but having a problem. This is a web service code: [WebService(Namespace = "http://something.com/samples")] [ScriptService] [WebServiceBinding(ConformsTo = WsiProfiles.BasicProfile1_1)] public class TestWebService : System.Web.Services.WebService { [WebMethod] public string Test2() { string result = null; try { result = "{'result':'success', 'datetime':'" + DateTime.Now.ToString() + "'"; } catch (Exception ex) { result = "Something wrong happened"; } return result; } } That's the way I call the function: $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "http://localhost/testwebsite/TestWebService.asmx/Test2", data: "{}", contentType: "application/json", dataType: "json", error: function (xhr, status, error) { alert(xhr.responseText); }, success: function (msg) { alert('Call was successful!'); } }); Method is called successfully, but result string gets covered by XML tags, like this: <string> {'result':'success', 'datetime':'4/26/2010 12:11:18 PM' </string> And I get an error because of this (error handler is called). Does anybody know what can be done about this?

  • Which button called the function?

    - by StoneBreaker
    I have two buttons which call the same function. That functions signature is - (IBAction)eraseTextField {...} I would like to figure out what button called the function. So I would like for the functions signature to be something like - (IBAction)eraseTextField: (id)sender {...}. Is there a way for the system to know to send the id of the calling object to a function that it calls? Thanks for the help.

  • Why MSVS Create lib file every time?

    - by codevania
    The problem is that Visual Stuiod re-create lib everytime. How can I make MSVS does not re-create? I don't know why MSVS create some kind of project's "lib" file whenever I press F5 to debug application. I just converted a solution file from 2005 to 2010. And this problem is occured. [ Revival ] 1.Build solution. 2.Debug 3.Stop debug 4.No source code change 5.Debug (re-create lib) I think that re-creation lib is not necessary. Re-creation lib file takes just a second. But it is little annoying. I'm in desperate need of your help.

  • Create and define Vector

    - by zdmytriv
    I'm looking for method to create Vector and push some values without defining variable Vector. For example: I have function: public function bla(data:Vector.<Object>):void { ... } this function expects Vector as parameter. I can pass parameters this way var newVector:Vector.<Object> = new Vector.<Object>(); newVector.push("bla1"); newVector.push("bla2"); bla(newVector); Can I do it in one line in Flex? I'm looking for something like: bla(new Vector.<Object>().push("bla1").push("bla2")); I've also tried this: bla(function():Vector.<Object> { var result:Vector.<Object> = new Vector.<Object>(2, true); result.push("bla1"); result.push("bla2"); return result; }); But it complains: 1067: Implicit coercion of a value of type Function to an unrelated type __AS3__.vec:Vector.<Object>... Thanks

  • Trying to make a reusable function and display the result in a div

    - by user3709033
    I have this function that I am trying to work with. All I am trying to do is to get the values of days, hours, min and sec into the .overTime div. I want to use the same function over and over again because i have more divs in which I want to display the same values but in a diff manner. You guys are awesome Thank You. NowTime = new Date(); //Time Now StartTime = new Date($('#StartTime').val()); StopTime = new Date($('#StopTime').val()); function fixIntegers(integer){ if (integer < 0) integer = 0; if (integer < 10) return '0' + integer; return '' + integer; } function Test( difference ) { var toReturn = { days: 0, hours: 0, minutes: 0, seconds: 0 }; toReturn.seconds = fixIntegers(difference % 60); difference = Math.floor(difference / 60); toReturn.minutes = fixIntegers(difference % 60); difference = Math.floor(difference / 60); toReturn.hours = fixIntegers(difference % 24); difference = Math.floor(difference / 24); toReturn.days = fixIntegers(difference); return toReturn; } function run() { var output = Test( Math.floor( ( NowTime - StopTime ) / 1000 ) ); $('.OverTime').html( output.days + ':' + output.hours + ':' + output.minutes + ':' + seconds); } setInterval(run, 1000) FIDDLE: http://jsfiddle.net/8943U/47/

  • Wait for function to finish before executing the rest

    - by Wurlitzer
    When the user refreshes the page, defaultView() is called, which loads some UI elements. $.address.change() should execute when defaultView() has finished, but this doesn't happen all the time. $.address.change() cannot be in the success: callback, as it's used by the application to track URL changes. defaultView(); function defaultView() { $('#tout').fadeOut('normal', function() { $.ajax({ url: "functions.php", type: "GET", data: "defaultview=true", async: false, success: function (response) { $('#tout').html(response).fadeIn('normal'); } }); }); } $.address.change(function(hash) { hash = hash.value; getPage(hash); }); I'm at a loss as to how to make $.address.change() wait for defaultView() to finish. Any help would be appreciated.

  • SCons and dependencies for python function generating source

    - by elmo
    I have an input file data, a python function parse and a template. What I am trying to do is use parse function to get dictionary out of data and use that to replace fields in template. Now to make this a bit more generic (I perform the same action in few places) I have defined a custom function to do so. Below is definition of custom builder and values is a dictionary with { 'name': (data_file, parse_function) } (you don't really need to read through this, I simply put it here for completeness). def TOOL_ADD_FILL_TEMPLATE(env): def FillTemplate(env, output, template, values): out = output[0] subs = {} for name, (node, process) in values.iteritems(): def Process(env, target, source): with open( env.GetBuildPath(target[0]), 'w') as out: out.write( process( source[0] ) ) builder = env.Builder( action = Process ) subs[name] = builder( env, env.GetBuildPath(output[0])+'_'+name+'_processed.cpp', node )[0] def Fill(env, target, source): values = dict( (name, n.get_contents()) for name, n in subs.iteritems() ) contents = template[0].get_contents().format( **values ) open( env.GetBuildPath(target[0]), 'w').write( contents ) builder = env.Builder( action = Fill ) builder( env, output[0], template + subs.values() ) return output env.Append(BUILDERS = {'FillTemplate': FillTemplate}) It works fine when it comes to checking if data or template changed. If it did it rebuilds the output. It even works if I edit process function directly. However if my process function looks like this: def process( node ): return subprocess(node) and I edit subprocess the change goes unnoticed. Is there any way to get correct builds without making process functions being always invoked?

  • Why does this C program compile?

    - by AdmiralJonB
    I've just come across someone's C code that I'm confused as to why it is compiling. There are two points I don't understand. First, the function prototype has no parameters compared to the actual function definition. Secondly, the parameter in the function definition doesn't have an type. #include <stdio.h> int func(); int func(param) { return param; } int main() { int bla = func(10); printf("%d",bla); } Could someone please explain to me why this works? I've tested it in a couple of compilers and it works fine.

  • How to call in C# function from Win32 DLL with custom objects

    - by marko
    How to use in C# function from Win32 DLL file made in Delphi. When function parameters are custom delphi objects? Function definition in Delphi: function GetAttrbControls( Code : PChar; InputList: TItemList; var Values : TValArray): Boolean; stdcall; export; Types that use: type TItem = packed record Code : PChar; ItemValue: Variant; end; TItemList = array of TItem; TValArray = array of PChar; Example in C# (doesn't work): [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential)] public class Input { public string Code; public object ItemValue; }; [DllImport("Filename.dll", EntryPoint = "GetValues", CharSet = CharSet.Ansi, ExactSpelling = true, CallingConvention = CallingConvention.Cdecl)] public static extern bool GetValues(string Code, Input[] InputList, ref StringBuilder[] Values);

  • Haskell Add Function Return to List Until Certain Length

    - by kienjakenobi
    I want to write a function which takes a list and constructs a subset of that list of a certain length based on the output of a function. If I were simply interested in the first 50 elements of the sorted list xs, then I would use fst (splitAt 50 (sort xs)). However, the problem is that elements in my list rely on other elements in the same list. If I choose element p, then I MUST also choose elements q and r, even if they are not in the first 50 elements of my list. I am using a function finderFunc which takes an element a from the list xs and returns a list with the element a and all of its required elements. finderFunc works fine. Now, the challenge is to write a function which builds a list whose total length is 50 based on multiple outputs of finderFunc. Here is my attempt at this: finish :: [a] -> [a] -> [a] --This is the base case, which adds nothing to the final list finish [] fs = [] --The function is recursive, so the fs variable is necessary so that finish -- can forward the incomplete list to itself. finish ps fs -- If the final list fs is too small, add elements to it | length fs < 50 && length (fs ++ newrs) <= 50 = fs ++ finish newps newrs -- If the length is met, then add nothing to the list and quit | length fs >= 50 = finish [] fs -- These guard statements are currently lacking, not the main problem | otherwise = finish [] fs where --Sort the candidate list sortedps = sort ps --(finderFunc a) returns a list of type [a] containing a and all the -- elements which are required to go with it. This is the interesting -- bit. rs is also a subset of the candidate list ps. rs = finderFunc (head sortedps) --Remove those elements which are already in the final list, because -- there can be overlap newrs = filter (`notElem` fs) rs --Remove the elements we will add to the list from the new list -- of candidates newps = filter (`notElem` rs) ps I realize that the above if statements will, in some cases, not give me a list of exactly 50 elements. This is not the main problem, right now. The problem is that my function finish does not work at all as I would expect it to. Not only does it produce duplicate elements in the output list, but it sometimes goes far above the total number of elements I want to have in the list. The way this is written, I usually call it with an empty list, such as: finish xs [], so that the list it builds on starts as an empty list.

  • Confused about theme function calls.

    - by Nick Lowman
    I've created a content type that has a CCK text field. When I select the text field using the Drupal Themer widget it tells me the last function called was theme_text_formatter_default() , which I found in the CCK text.module It also tells me that it's parents were; content-field.tpl.php < theme_markup < theme_markup < node.tpl.php < page.tpl.php So I assumed that somewhere in the content-field.tpl.php was the function call to theme('text_formatter_default',$element) but it wasn't in there. Just print $item['view'] used to display the content. I searched all the project files for theme('text_formatter_default',$element) and it doesn't exist. I know it's being called by the theme function as I override it in my template.php and it used my overridden function, which would only happen if was using the theme_hook$. Wouldn't it? So how is it being called? It's not that I need to override it. I'm just learning how drupal works and thought I had it sussed until this. Something must be calling it. Also, the function theme_text_formatter_default exists in the theme registry and it's overridable (if that's a word) as I did so in my template.php and it displayed. It's all quite confusing. Any help would be much appreciated

  • Create a function to a function that runs a for loop?

    - by user637364
    Hi, I have made some code that creates a red border around an image when the user click on to highlite thats the choesen one. But I want to erase previous or all border with a white border around all images before a new click is made on another image. My question is how do I activate a call to a function when a click is made and how would a function look in jQuery? I just whant to use the .css to change the border in perhaps a loop and change the id of the images? Can I mix common javascript with jQuery, or should it only be pure jQuery code in a script? This is a simplified part of the code, it contains "minibild_1" to "minibild_5" $(document).ready(function(){ $("#minibild_1").click(function(){ $("#minibild_1").css({"border":"2px solid #D00C33"}); $("#storbild").attr("src","../bilder/bilder_stora/{$row1-bild_1}.jpg"); }); $("#minibild_2").click(function(){ $("#minibild_2").css({"border":"2px solid #D00C33"}); $("#storbild").attr("src","../bilder/bilder_stora/{$row1-bild_2}.jpg"); }); });
