  • visual studio qt5 plugins not working on release

    I'm got this project where i'm showing images with a qt5 interface, i'm simply setting the Pixmap of a label with the qimage pixmap The thing is, it's working on a debug build, but not on a release build and i dont understand why. I already got a folder in my .Exe folder named "plugins" and a subfolder in it named "imageformats", and in this folder the file named "qjpeg.dll" So i coming here to see if someone has an idea on why it doesn't work ?     hi, I wanted to have function which will accept as foo(...) { } usage of this would be foo(1,2,3); foo(1) foo(1,2,3,4,5,5,6); va_list can be used but again for that I have to pass foo(int count, ...), as this at run time i dont know how many argument i have. any pointer would be appreciated Thanks

On my computer(the development PC) it executes the newest version of the exe and dll's but on the computer of my fellow(he is not a developer and cant debug it) an older version is executed. He has overwritten all files with the new version: I dont know where to start looking for the reason.

    Currently a user makes a purchase and then a license is generated and sent to that user, but the license isn't tied to a physical computer so there is nothing to prevent the user sharing the license with someone. I heard people talk about creating a license tied to the mac address of the computer, so the license only works on that computer. Now I know how to get the mac address in code but I dont understand how I can do this step when they first make the purchase on the web, so please what is the basic algorithm for node locked licenses ?

    How do i change the following statement so it accepts any type instead of long? Now here is the catch, if there is no constructor i dont want it compiling. So if theres a constructor for string, long and double but no bool how do i have this one line work for all of these support types?     Lets say i have a Shape object that has a constructor like this: Shape( width, height, radius, depth ) Now, I just have a silly rect so i dont need redius and depth... is it okey to do Shape myRect(50, 50, NULL, NULL) ? I know its not the best idea and I should use inheritance and stuff but this is the mess im in so can i use NULL like this?
