I am using LuaSQL, and query for a result set using con:execute(sql_stmt), which returns a cursor.
How do I see if there is at least one row in that resultset, without doing a cursor:fetch to pop that first row?
Using windows server, I have a path to a file that, when you click the button, executes the jar file and runs the program. At least in firefox. The problem occurs with IE6. It takes my file.jar and turns it into file.zip. Any suggestions here?
I've got a series of Excel spreadsheets, each with at least one page of data and one page of a chart created from the data. I need to capture ( not regenerate from the data ) the existing chart as a web friendly image. Is this possible via Java or .Net? I know the POI stuff (Java) won't do it (or so I'm told, haven't tried it myself).
I d like to execute a remote javascript which redirects the user to another page on my domain with data that s passes as query string. I want to get this data which is passed on to the page on my domain.
$.getScript('http://site.com/foo.js', function() {
**//foo.js redirects to another page on my domain with data
// and i d like to capture that data from this function,
// at least if i find the parameters that passed on there, i ll be fine.**
});
What to do ?
Hello,
I'm doing some research on the convenience of using Office Web Components on a web to show pivot tables and graphics and I have a question regarding this.
Does the use of these components will turn my web app (at least for this feature) into a "Internet Explorer only" app
Thanks in advance!
Is there a way to crawl all facebook fan pages and collect some information? like for example crawling facebook fan pages and save their names, or how many fans, etc?
Or at least, do you have a hint of how this could be possibly done?
Hello everyone.
In Firebug the DOM tab shows a list of all your public variables and objects. In Chrome's console you have to type the name of the public variable or object you want to explore. Is there a way - or at least a command - for Chrome's console to display a list all the public variables and objects? It will save a lot of typing.
Thank you all
Stefanos
I'm looking to create AVDs to test my apps on, and i'm trying to figure out the correct settings for a square screen such as the new Motorola Flip Out. I don't see a wikipedia article for it, or many specs...
On a related note, what about tablets? Actually.. Why aren't there a set of AVD instances with params from popular devices.. or at least a site that lists them for each of the 60+ devices.
Thanks in advance :)
Hi guys, I am making a image editor kinda for own enjoyment and was wondering how could I make a undo button to undo the last paints I did? I want to know how I would about this, a tutorial or sample code would be nice or at least something pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks!
Hey guys,
I want to use custom url schemes in my app, for example calling navigons mobile navigator.
First of all I want to check whether navigon is installed or at least whether the custom url scheme "navigon://" has already been registered.
Any Ideas?
Thanks a lot.
With alle the new paralell programming features in .NET 4.0, what would be a a simple and fast way to implement the producer-consumer pattern (where at least one thread is producing and enqueuing task items and one other thread executes (dequeues) these tasks). Can we benfit from all these new APIs? What is your preferred implementation of this pattern?
I need to send hundreds of newsletters, but would like to check first if email exists on server. It's called smtp validation, at least i think so, based on my research on net.
There's several libraries that can do that, and also a page with open-source code in asp (http://www.coveryourasp.com/ValidateEmail.asp#Result3), but I have hard time reading classic asp, and it seams that it uses some third-party library...
Does someone have code for smtp validation in c#, and/or general explanation of how it works?
Can I control the order static objects are being destructed?
Is there any way to enforce my desired order? For example to specify in some way that I would like a certain object to be destroyed last, or at least after another static onject?
Cheers,
Gal
I'm looking for some algorithm such as k-means for grouping points on a map into a fixed number of groups, by distance.
The number of groups has already been decided, but the trick part (at least for me) is to meet the criteria that the sum of MOS of each group should in the certain range, say bigger than 1. Is there any way to make that happen?
ID MOS X Y
1 0.47 39.27846 -76.77101
2 0.43 39.22704 -76.70272
3 1.48 39.24719 -76.68485
4 0.15 39.25172 -76.69729
5 0.09 39.24341 -76.69884
So, it seems that VS 2010 does not support SRSS projects. At least not old ones....Does anyone know what the status on this situation is and whether one can author new SRSS reports using VS2010 or if one should just use VS2008 BIDS?
Hi all!
You know how those packed js files look like, right?
eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){ ... } ('obfuscated-string'.split('|'),0,{}))
It just so happens to be that i have to tweak some large legacy code that looks like that and i want to find a way to turn this into a more readable version.
If that's not possible, can i at least get rid of the eval?
I need a media information extraction library (pure Java or JNI wrapper) that can handle common media formats. I primarily use it for video files and I need at least these information:
Video length (Runtime)
Video bitrate
Video framerate
Video format and codec
Video size (width X height)
Audio channels
Audio format
Audio bitrate and sampling rate
There are several libraries and tools around but I couldn't find for Java.
Hi, I'm working on Steganography application. I need to hide a message inside an image file and secure it with a password, with not much difference in the file size. I am using Least Significant Bit algorithm and could do it successfully with BMP files but it does not work with JPEG, PNG or TIFF files. Does this algorithm work with these files at all? Is there a better way to achieve this? Thanks.
When I start editing a UITextField, I have the "Clear When Editing Begins" option checked so it starts off with no text. However, the "Return" button is grayed out until you type at least one character.
I've seen other iphone apps where the "Return" button is not grayed out (and if you press it with no text, then it goes back to what the text used to be). How is this done?
Thanks.
I know about hashing algorithm and hashCode() to convert "key" into an equivalent integer (using some mathematically random expression) that is then compressed and stored into buckets.
But can someone point me to an implementation or at least data structure that should be used as baseline?
I haven't found it anywhere on the web.
I'm looking for either an ASP.net or PHP based webmail app I can install on my shared hosting.
I want to set this up on one of my domains for my Gmail address, due to Gmail being blocked at work.
I'd like the interface to be as similar to Gmail as possible, conversation view, labels, starred emails etc if possible well at least allow me to keep with my GTD workflow.
Any suggestions?
I would like wxHtmlWindow to use libcurl instead of the internal wxHTTP class. Is there an easy way to do this? If not, can I at least change the useragent wxHtmlWindow sends when it accesses pages?
Regex is absolutely my weak point and this one has me completely stumped. I am building a fairly basic search functionality and I need to be able to alter my user input based on the following pattern:
Subject:
%22first set%22 %22second set%22-drupal -wordpress
Desired output:
+"first set" +"second set" -drupal -wordpress
I wish I could be more help as I normally like to at least post the solution I have so far, but on this one I'm at a loss.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
I have seen at least two ways to include an external log4net config file in an ASP.NET web application:
Having the following attribute in your AssemblyInfo.cs file:
[assembly: log4net.Config.XmlConfigurator(ConfigFile = "Log.config", Watch = true)]
Calling the XmlConfigurator in the Global.asax.cs:
protected void Application_Start()
{
XmlConfigurator.Configure(new FileInfo("Log.config"));
}
What would be the best practice to do it?
