  • SQL Server: Output an XML field as tabular data using a stored procedure

    I am using a table with an XML data field to store the audit trails of all other tables in the database. That means the same XML field has various XML information. For example my table has two records with XML data like this: 1st record: <client> <name>xyz</name> <ssn>432-54-4231</ssn> </client> 2nd record: <emp> <name>abc</name> <sal>5000</sal> </emp> These are the two sample formats and just two records. The table actually has many more XML formats in the same field and many records in each format. Now my problem is that upon query I need these XML formats to be converted into tabular result sets. What are the options for me? It would be a regular task to query this table and generate reports from it. I want to create a stored procedure to which I can pass that I need to query "<emp>" or "<client>", then my stored procedure should return tabular data.

    I am trying to add a custom activity designer for an activity that I have. The activity looks a little like: public class WaitForUserInputActvitiy : NativeActivity { public InArgument<UserInteractionProperty[]> UserInteraction { get; set; } } I am trying to put a designer on the activity to make it a bit nicer to set these values (so you don't end up typing VB in directly. My designer is based on mindscape property grid. I have an ObservableDictionary source that I want to get the values from and put them in to the InArgument. So how do I convert my array of UserInteractionProperties into an InArgument?

    I have a script for remotely executing commands on other machines, however... when using windows cmd.exe commands It does not write to the file on the remote server.     There are times that I automagically create small shell scripts from Python, and I want to make sure that the filename arguments do not contain non-escaped special characters. I've rolled my own solution, that I will provide as an answer, but I am almost certain I've seen such a function lost somewhere in the standard library. By “lost” I mean I didn't find it in an obvious module like shlex, cmd or subprocess. Do you know of such a function in the stdlib?

    Hi, Is there a way to return HTML from a method which gets called from the JMX HTTP page. I have a huge set of data and want to display the data with some formatting.   • Maven copy project output into other project resources

    There are two projects: 1) applet project that outputs jar file 2) web app project that should host the jar file. After (1) finished building, the applet jar file should be copied into the webapp folder of (2). The purpose is that (2) will host the applet (1) on the Internet. A lot of examples explain how to use another project as a library dependency. Other examples, show how to use ant plugin to copy files. I am unsure on how to properly set this up, so that 'mvn install' on the parent project will do the copying at the right time.

    Hi, i've created an setup project for a .net-application which works fine. The problem is, that the application begins to write log-files after startup and this requires administrative rights on windows vista and windows 7. I know there are some folders which i could use to write into without administrative rights. When i start the application as administrator, everything works fine. I asked myself, if it's possible to change the setup project in visual studio in a way that the installed application automatically owns administrative rights on the target system?     i'm trying typescript and I find it very useful. I've a quite large project and i was considering rewriting it using typescript. The main problem here is the following: file A.ts: class A extends B { // A stuff } file B.ts: class B { // B stuff } If I compile A.ts with this command: tsc --out compiledA.js A.ts I'll get error from the compiler cause he doesn't know how to threat the "B" after extends. So, a "solution" would be including in A.ts (as first line of code): /// <reference path="./B.ts" /> Compiling again A.ts with the same command tsc --out compiledA.js A.ts Will result in compiledA.js containing both B.ts and A.ts code. ( which could be very nice ) In my case, I only need to compile the A.ts code in the compiledA.js file and I don't want the B.ts stuff to be in there. Indeed, what I want is: tsc --out A.js A.ts = compile only the A.ts stuff tsc --out B.js B.ts = compile only the B.ts stuff I can do it by removing the "extends" keyword but doing that I'll loose most of the typescript goodness. Can someone telll me if there's a way to do this ?

    I have some survey data which I'm using Stata to analyze. I want to compute means of one variable by group and save those means to a Stata file. My code looks like this: svyset [iw=wtsupp], sdrweight(repwtp1-repwtp160) vce(sdr) svy: mean x I tried svy: by grp: mean x but that did not work. I could save each mean to a separate file by simply saying svy: mean x if grp==1 but that's inefficient. Is there a better way? Saving results to a file like one can use SAS ODS to capture results is also a need. I am not talking about the log here. I need the means and the associated group. I'm thinking estimates save [path],replace but I'm not sure if that will give me a Stata file or the group if I can figure out how to use by processing.

    If I run the following query: select load_cyc_num , crnt_dnlq_age_cde , sum(cc_min_pymt_amt) as min_pymt , sum(ec_tot_bal) as budget , case when ec_tot_bal 0 then 'Y' else 'N' end as budget , case when ac_stat_cde in ('A0P','A1P','ARP','A3P') then 'Y' else 'N' end as arngmnt , sum(sn_close_bal) as st_bal from statements where (sn_close_bal 0 or ec_tot_bal 0) and load_cyc_num in (200911) group by load_cyc_num , crnt_dnlq_age_cde , case when ec_tot_bal 0 then 'Y' else 'N' end , case when ac_stat_cde in ('A0P','A1P','ARP','A3P') then 'Y' else 'N' end then I get the correct "BUDGET" grouping, but not the correct "ARRANGEMENT" grouping, only two rows have a "Y". If I change the order of the case statements in the GROUP BY, then I get the correct grouping (full Y-N breakdown for both columns). Am I missing something obvious?

I'm writing an "Account" module which should take care of everything about accounts: registration, login/logout, user administration, password recovery, account activation, etc. So I thought it would be best to reuse whatever the module's DefaultController::actionRegister() generates to show on the main page. So my question is: how to create a new "sub request" (similar to CController::forward()) from any controller (either SiteController, read: from views/layouts/main.php, or another controller, eventually of another submodule) to a given module/controller/action? I've tried with $this-forward() from within my application layout without success: it shows a blank page, no error whatsoever. Thanks

In particular: Heap after GC invocations=31 (full 3): does this mean there were 31 minor GCs, and 3 full GCs ? What triggers the several consecutive lines of Total time for which the application threads were stopped and Application Time ? Is it possible to get the time stamps associated with each of these lines ?
