I have a form file upload. When the users goes to upload an image, it displays all files on their computer. How can I make the HTML upload dialog window to only display JPG, GIF and PNGs?
Hi!
I want to create a windows service that may log pressed keys into files.
For handling global key events I use hooks, hooks works great for desktop apps.
But it doesn't work for the services.
Is it possible to develop a windows service with key event handling?
Developing on C#...
Thanks for your time.
I have an old redhat 8 box that I need to pragmatically send files to my webserver from. Disregarding the security issues with this, I've come up with the following way.
curl -F file=@<filename> http://webhost/reciever.aspx
The problem is, no matter what I try, the ASP.NET page is not accepting the file. What am I doing wrong?
Hi,
Searched through net, could't find a way to read/write file metadata using C or C++, however, there are tools available for this, and also there are API's in C# and Java to do this. But I want to do it from scratch in C or C++.
For example, read/write image metadata.
Have found out that there are three formats in which metadata is written to files. EXIF, IPTC and XMP.
Thanks.

I am using cvs2svn for converting already existing CVS repository into svn repository. While doing it using command line , it makes all the passes and creates a repository in the SVN. But i am not able to find all the files in the particular directory. Where does that repository resides?
I used following command to convert the CVS to SVN repository.
cvs2svn -s /home/user/Subversion/repos /home/usr/cvsrepo
Hi all!
You know how those packed js files look like, right?
eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){ ... } ('obfuscated-string'.split('|'),0,{}))
It just so happens to be that i have to tweak some large legacy code that looks like that and i want to find a way to turn this into a more readable version.
If that's not possible, can i at least get rid of the eval?
Hello!
Are there tools out there which could automatically find copy-and-paste code among a set of files?
I was thinking of writing a script for this, which would just search for equal strings, but such script would find mostly irrelevant equalities. (Such as private final static ...).
Hi I mostly do C++, Objective-C programming. And I found Xcode plus an auto completion/macro plugin (Completion Dictionary) quite adequate.
However, all people seem to praise over their pure text editors. I tried Textmate for a bit; liked its simplicity but dislike its files/framework handling.
Am I missing something here? Or, do Vim or Emacs have auto-completion as good as Xcode?
I need a media information extraction library (pure Java or JNI wrapper) that can handle common media formats. I primarily use it for video files and I need at least these information:
Video length (Runtime)
Video bitrate
Video framerate
Video format and codec
Video size (width X height)
Audio channels
Audio format
Audio bitrate and sampling rate
There are several libraries and tools around but I couldn't find for Java.
I'm reading a bunch of MySQL files that use # (to end-of-line) comments, but my sql-mode doesn't support them. I found the syntax-table part of sql.el that defines /**/ and -- comments, but according to this, Emacs syntax tables support only 2 comment styles.
Is there a way to add support for # comments in sql.el easily?
I have a problem using a Resources.resx - Resources.de.resx - combination in a C#/WPF project.
The whole solutions contains several projects and some projects contains resource files.
When starting the main project I can switch the language successfully from english to german. But the GUI elements from the sub projects still show the english text.
Thank you very much for every idea to solve the problem. Regards, Alex
I'm looking for an easy way to get width and height dimensions for image files in Ruby without having to use ImageMagick or ImageScience (running Snow Leapard).
I have a number resx files as follows,
Resources-es-ES.resx
Resources-es.resx
Resources.resx (english defaults)
They are compiled into an assembly and I use them for localising my web pages by simply referring to Resources.Ok for example. My question is whether there is a way to find out the "rendered culture", e.g. if I come into the site with my CurrentUICulture set to "fr-fr" for example it will fall back to using the English resources and I'm wondering how to get that information to help me with some JavaScript localisation.
I have a directory, let's say, "work": ~/work/
This directory has some sub-folders (d1, d2...) in it and files in these sub-folders. I want to make a backup copy in the same folder, so it would be like: ~/backup/work/
However, when I use
cp -r ./work ./backup
the folder "work" is not copied, only its subfoders (so now it's ~/backup/d1 ~/backup/d2...)
Any idea how to make it work? I'm quite new to shell, so I'm missing something :)
Are there any good references out there for sync algorithms? I'm interested in algorithms that synchronize the following kinds of data between multiple users:
calendars
documents
lists and outlines
I'm not just looking for synchronization of contents of directories a la rsync; I am interested in merging the data within individual files.
Hi,
Need help regarding re.
file = 'file No.WR79050107006 from files'
So what I am trying to do is validate if file string contains WR + 11 digit.
result = re.match('^(\S| )*(?P<sr>(\d){11})(\S| )*', file)
Its validate only 11 digit but not WR before it.
How can I do that?
Using re after matching how can I get the match value ( WR79050107006)
I can do string find
index = file.find('file No.')
and then get the value of next 13 char.
thanks

The plugin for haml has errors to parse empty lines. The plugin generate gsp files, so I think that I can use the online haml html generator.
Bug I want something like an editor with syntax highlithing, blocks, etc, and that generate html.
Is there something like this? Or only the editor?

i am going to "read" (video/big) files from server (shared environment) to clients (webbrowsers) via php and would like to know first if there is a way to reduce cpu and ram usage somehow (as i have those limited). thanks.
I'm using RecursiveDirectoryIterator and RecursiveIteratorIterator to build a file listing tree using code like below. I need to the list to be sorted - either directories then files alphabetically, or just alphabetically.
Can anyone tell me how to sort the file list?
$dir_iterator = new RecursiveDirectoryIterator($groupDirectory);
$iterator = new RecursiveIteratorIterator($dir_iterator, RecursiveIteratorIterator::SELF_FIRST);
foreach ($iterator as $file) {
// do stuff with $file
}
Hi,
I am changing our build system in order to handle cross-compiling and packaging.
It is a common thing to ship dependencies' DLLs but CMake's FindXXX modules(./configure checks) don't provide the path to these DLLs but only to .a files. I quickly looked inside the .a libs and they all seem to contain the DLL's name.
What would be a proper way of extracting them from the .a file on a Linux build machine?
My company is suffering some deployment issues, where we'd be greatly benefited if distributed source files were tagged with their current source control version, or the date/time they were checked in.
Is there a way in Visual Studio to do this automatically?
I want to start a new C++ (Qt) Open Source project and I'm wondering if there is an existing template somewhere for files usually found in an Open Source project but that are not purely source code (README, LICENSE, CHANGELOG, etc.)
I could probably find a popular Open Source project for inspiration but if there is some existing generic templates, I will use that instead.
Thanks.
Hi,
I want to be able to monitor the performance(load time of the entire page, load times of individually downloaded js/cs files , amount of memory used by the browser for the page,etc) of my web application from the perspective of the user(i.e the browser client).
Is there any tool/plugin , that can help me monitor all of these?
