  • Three20 JSON problem: Can deploy to simulator but not device (extThree20JSON)

    Everything builds and runs in the simulator fine ... but when I attempt to run on device I get: "arm-apple-darwin10-gcc-4.2.1: ..../three20/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/libextThree20JSON+YAJL.a: No such file or directory" I check that directory and indeed the file doesn't exist. It does exist in the "Debug-iphoneosimulator" though (which I guess explains why it works in the simulator). So what gives and what can I do to correct this? Thanks

  • Problem with System.Diagnostics.Process RedirectStandardOutput to appear in Winforms Textbox in real

    I'm having problems with the redirected output from a console application being presented in a Winforms textbox in real-time. The messages are being produced line by line however as soon as interaction with the Form is called for, nothing appears to be displayed. Following the many examples on both Stackoverflow and other forums, I can't seem to get the redirected output from the process to display in the textbox on the form until the process completes. By adding debug lines to the 'stringWriter_StringWritten' method and writing the redirected messages to the debug window I can see the messages arriving during the running of the process but these messages will not appear on the form's textbox until the process completes. Grateful for any advice on this.   • Garbled text in Screen [closed]

    The graphical Interface in my system is garbled with some text. At the beginning I thought it was due to java and tomcat that I installed. But after removing java and tomcat, it is still the same. I am using ubuntu server and i have installed xfce desktop environment with oboard softkey I have added my dmesg output to this message.     Hello, I am wondering if there's an elegant solution for doing this in Java (besides the obvious one - of declaring a different/explicit function. I don't have an idea about a more elegant solution beside doing another function which explicitly wants a HashMap<String, Integer> or HashMap<Buffer, Integer> parameter.     I just installed GNOME3 on my Ubuntu. Everything worked fine till I restarted computer. Then I received a message if I want to change folders name to some other (different language, don't know what is this, but looks like Chinese). I pressed, 'keep old names' but it still changed all my folder names! And also the rest of the names. (like settings, and all that staff). So if you can give me the direction on where to click (cause all English names changed to non-English) and I simply don't know what does any of them means!

    I'd be very grateful to get a bit of support on the following situation: Using Ubuntu 12.04, and I used the PPA of Jon Severinson for ffmpeg. I had a problem playing movies with mplayer, so I decided to remove the PPA and try to use libav only after I read this article about libav vs ffmpeg. I first removed the PPA from the list, then apt-get update, etc. But I couldn't remove ffmpeg due to dependency-errors and got stuck in what seemed some kind of loop. Then I found a suggestion here. I followed the steps, and ended up force-removing libavcodec-extra-53. Because, apparently that was "what got stuff moving again". At the moment I can't.     I'm wondering if there is a good extant pattern (language here is Python/Django but also interested on the more abstract level) for creating a business logic layer that can be created without coding. For example, suppose that a house rental should only be available during a specific time. The thing is, it would have to be flexible enough to encompass a wide variety of rules: avoiding duplicates/overlaps (to continue the example "You already have a reservation for this time/location") logic rules ("You can't rent a house to yourself", "This house is in a different place from your chosen destination") sanity tests ("You've set a rental price that's 10x the normal rate. Are you sure this is the right price?" Things like that. Before I recreate the wheel, I'm wondering if there are already methods out there for doing something like this.

  • Installing Forms and Reports on a development system

    By popular demand I've resurrected / updated one of the old blog postings from Jan Carlin's Blog on GroundSide here. A recent (lengthy) post on the Forms forums chronicles the problems some of you have had installing F&R on a development machine. See the link in the headline of this post for the main one. When installing, here are some points to bear in mind: Download and install Weblogic Server first. http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/middleware/index.htmlFind the Forms and Reports (and Disco and Portal) zip files here. Download them to the desktop (or some other temporary directory of your choosing). Unzip both of the two zip files into the same new directory (maybe called 'stage') and check that you have 4 directories in the stage dir when you are finished unzipping: 'Disk1', 'Disk2', 'Disk3' and 'Disk4'. These folders are specified in the zip file structure and must be preserved for the setup executable to work. If you use WinZip and have a right click menu option that say "Extract to here", use that by right click-dragging the zip file onto the newly created directory. Don't use the "Extract to folder %HOME%\Desktop\ofm_pfrd...disk_1of2" option. That will get you into the trouble that was reported early in this thread. Free up as much memory as you can. Stop services and background processes and virus scanners and databases (you don't need a DB to install Forms) and other things lurking about on your machine. You can restart them when the install is done. Around 1.5 GB free real memory should do it. If it doesn't, free up more if you can. Don't change the swap space unless you know what you are doing. Let Windows handle it. A 1 GB machine will likely not be enough. You will likely need at least 2GB of RAM.Start the install with setup.exe from the 'Disk1' directoryChoose the Install and Configure option unless you have a good reason not to.Choose a unique instance name even if you deinstalled and removed the last install. I suggest using 'asinst_20090722_1' (today's date in ISO format with a running incremented number at the end if you install more than two times on a particular day).Unselect Portal and Discoverer and select the Builders you want.Unselect WebCacheUnselect OHS.Unselect the single sign-on option Check for any failures and choose the retry option if any occur. If that doesn't fix the problem, call Oracle Customer Support .

  • WCF - remote service without using IIS - base address?

    I'm trying to get my head around the addressing of WCF services. We have a client-server setup where the server occasionally (maybe once a day) needs to push data to each client. I want to have a lightweight WCF listener service on each client hosted in an NT service to receive that data. We already have such an NT service setup hosting some local WCF services for other tasks so the overhead of this is minimal. Because of existing legacy code on the server I believe the service needs to be exposed as ASMX and use basicHttpBinding to allow it to connect. Each client is registered on the server by the user (they need to configure them individually) so discovery is not the issue. My question is, how does the addressing work? I imagine the user entering the client's address on the server in the form http://0.0.0.0/MyService or even http://hostname/MyService If so, how do I configure the client service in its App.config? Do I use localhost? If not then what is the reccommended way of exposing the service to the server? Note: I don't want to host in IIS as that adds extra requirements to the hardware required for the client. The clients will be almost certainly located on LANs, not over the public internet

When I debug the entryToObject method of MyDocumentBiding the bytes that it tries to convert to object seem random. What am I doing wrong?

  • Can an issue tracking system be distributed?

    I was thinking about issue tracking software like Redmine, Trac or even the one that is in Fossil and something hit me: Is there a reason why Redmine and Trac are not possible to be distributed? Or maybe it's possible and I just don't know how it's possible? If it's not possible, why? By distributed I mean like Facebook or Google or other applications that effectively runs on multiple hardware a the same time but share data.
