  • [Symfony] Accessing user session from a custom routing class

    Is there some way to acces the user object from a custom routing class? I'd like to add a parameter when generating a url, and that parameter is inside the user session, so I need to access it. The only way I found to access is using the sfContext::getInstance()-getUser(), but it's known to be inefficient. Thanks!

  • System crashes/lockups + compiz/cairo/gnome-panel crashing due to cached ram, please help?

    Can someone help me to troubleshoot system crashes and lockups which result in compiz/cairo dock and gnome-panel crashing? I also get no window borders after the crash and a lot of kernel memory errors. Logs are telling me that apps were killed due to not enough memory, but the system is caching like 14GB of my ram so I'm a bit stuck on what/how to stop it. I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 on a 2011 Mac Mini with 16 GB ram. Here's some of the logs that look like they could be causing trouble. I woke up this morning to find chrome/skype/cairo dock and a few others had been killed and here is what the log said. I have a Radeon HD 6600M graphics card using the open source driver, not the proprietary one. I was wondering if perhaps using the proprietary one would solve the problem. Also, while writing this in Chrome rhythmbox and chrome just got killed while typing this, due to out of memory errors or so it reports, though I have 7 GB of free RAM at the time with 7 GB cached as well.   • WPF Style Override breaks Validation Error event propagation

    I have a custom control that overrides Window: public class Window : System.Windows.Window { static Window() { DefaultStyleKeyProperty.OverrideMetadata(typeof(Window), new System.Windows.FrameworkPropertyMetadata(typeof(Window))); } ... } It also has a style: <Style TargetType="{x:Type Controls:Window}" BasedOn="{StaticResource {x:Type Window}}"> <Setter Property="WindowStyle" Value="None" /> <Setter Property="Padding" Value="5" /> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type Controls:Window}"> ... Unfortunately, this breaks the propagation of the Validation.ErrorEvent for my window's contents. That is, my window can receive the event just fine, but I don't know what to do with it to mimic how a standard Window (or whoever) deals with it. If the validating controls are placed in a standard window, they work. They also work if I just take out the OverrideMetadata call (leaving them inside my custom window). Why is this happening, and how can I get the stock functionality for handling these validation error events working again? Thanks!

  • ASP.NET MVC routing issue with Google Chrome client

    My Silverlight 4 app is hosted in ASP.NET MVC 2 web application. It works fine when I browse with Internet Explorer 8. However Google Chrome (version 5) cannot find ASP.NET controllers. Specifically, the following ASP.NET controller works both with Chrome and IE. //[OutputCache(NoStore = true, Duration = 0, VaryByParam = "None")] public ContentResult TestMe() { ContentResult result = new ContentResult(); XElement response = new XElement("SvrResponse", new XElement("Data", "my data")); result.Content = response.ToString(); return result; } If I uncomment [OutputCache] attribute then it works with IE but not with Chrome. Also, I use custom model binding with controllers, so if I write the following: public ContentResult TestMe(UserContext userContext) { ... } it also works with IE, but again not with Chrome which gives me error message saying that resource was not found. Of course, I configured IIS 6 for handling all requests via aspnet_isapi.dll and I have registered custom model binder in my web app's Global.asax inside Application_Start() method. Can someone explain me what might be the cause? Thank you.

  • Customizing the TFS 2008 build sequence to avoid compilation and deploy SSRS

    I'm trying to create a CI process for SQL Server Reporting Services. I am fairly new to TFS but quite experienced with MSBuild. In the past I've used a combination of MSBuild with Team City so the whole build process is more or less custom. Here lies the start of my problems, as the solution I am deploying only contains Report Server projects (rds), no compilation is required. I thought that I would override the the first default task that TFS runs (EndToEndIteration) to override the default TFS build sequence and inject my own. The first snag that I have come across is that the build always fails, how can I set the status of the build to success? Currently the EndToEndIteration task is very light and only has a message. Is this the best method to create a custom build process in TFS where compilation is not required? Or should I use the default sequence and override one of the hook tasks mentioned in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa337604%28VS.80%29.aspx (ie: AfterCompile) The core steps that I'd like to achieve are: Bundle the RDL and datasource files Connect to the host server to register/deploy the reports Re-apply any subscriptions that previously existed Run tests to verify the deployment succeeded and is returning results as expected I have found another article on Report services deployment: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/88710/reporting-services-deployment But it doesn't mention the best practice for customizing the standard build process. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Why Does .Hide()ing and .Show()ing Panels in wxPython Result in the Sizer Changing the Layout?

    As referenced in my previous question, I am trying to make something slightly wizard-like in function. I have settled on a single frame with a sizer added to it. I build panels for each of the screens I would like users to see, add them to the frame's sizer, then switch between panels by .Hide()ing one panel, then calling a custom .ShowYourself() on the next panel. Obviously, I would like the buttons to remain in the same place as the user progresses through the process. I have linked together two panels in an infinite loop by their "Back" and "Next" buttons so you can see what is going on. The first panel looks great; tom10's code worked on that level, as it eschewed my initial, over-fancy attempt with borders flying every which way. And then the second panel seems to have shrunk down to the bare minimum. As we return to the first panel, the shrinkage has occurred here as well. Why does it look fine on the first panel, but not after I return there? Why is calling .Fit() necessary if I do not want a 10 pixel by 10 pixel wad of grey? And if it is necessary, why does .Fit() give inconsistent results? This infinite loop seems to characterize my experience with this: I fix the layout on a panel, only to find that switching ruins the layout for other panels. I fix that problem, by using sizer_h.Add(self.panel1, 0) instead of sizer_h.Add(self.panel1, 1, wx.EXPAND), and now my layouts are off again. So far, my "solution" is to add a mastersizer.SetMinSize((475, 592)) to each panel's master sizer (commented out in the code below). This is a cruddy solution because 1) I have had to find the numbers that work by trial and error (-5 pixels for the width, -28 pixels for the height). 2) I don't understand why the underlying issue still happens. What's the correct, non-ugly solution? Instead of adding all of the panels to the frame's sizer at once, should switching panels involve .Detach()ing that panel from the frame's sizer and then .Add()ing the next panel to the frame's sizer? Is there a .JustMakeThisFillThePanel() method hiding somewhere I have missed in both the wxWidgets and the wxPython documents online? I'm obviously missing something in my mental model of layout.     I’m working on a large and a high volume transactional enterprise application which has been designed using n-tire application architecture .And it was developed in the .NET platform utilizing C#,VB.NEt, Framework 3.5, ObjectDataSources, DataSet, WCF, asp.net update panel, JavaScript ,JSON, 3rd Party tools. The application is supposed to accomplish a really scalable / easily maintained / robust application / integrations, and to make sure that my services are created using a format that can be understood by other systems. The problem is, this application is about 70% complete but now I was wondering if the following would cause us future issues, I’m using a DataSet and a DataTable to (get /set) the data (form /to) the stored procedure in the database using the ObjectDataSources and was wondering if this would prevent my application from achieving the above goals. Actually, I am not anti-OO. I write lots of classes for different purposes, but I didn’t use the entity objects(custom business entities) instead of the previous way because I have a large database that may contain 50 tables and I was just afraid to create entities for each table and then in the future if I need to change the schema of the database, it might cause a huge affect on the application ?

I try add SplitContainer to form and then serialize form, it's ok, but when try deserialize it, items that contains in SplitContainer Panel, failed. after i check it see not implement ReadRefrence method (only wrote WriteReference method) How to implement it fast ?     Basically I'm using phpbb as a forum of the main site and for images there are captions and in the Control Panel of the forum I added a custom profile field asking if the user if he/she wants amusing or descriptive captions.     Hi guys, I'm considering Wordpress as my CMS platform for a client site I'm doing at the moment. However, I need to create a couple of custom 'modules'. One of these modules is a form that people will be able to complete and have a quote, and once submitted, in a special place in the Wordpress panel (like a menu or something), there will be a listing of all the submitted quotes (just fetching it from a table in my database). Another one is to manage a cafeteria menu, so the client can add a different meal to each day of the week. I know perfectly how to do this kind of things using some kind of MVC framework and doing it 'by-hand', but I'm just wondering if this would be possible to do with WP and if yes, what kind of tools I'll have to use.   • WPF Custom Navigation Buttons and calling one page from another

    I have a window which contains a Frame which references a 'home' page that has buttons on it. When a button is clicked I want another page to show depending on which button was pressed. I attempted to use NavigationService.Navigate('mynextpage.xaml') and that works however, I want to use a customized navigation panel. I call this.ShowsNavigationUI = false; on my 'home' page but the bar still shows. Is there a way to accomplish what I am trying to do? My page with the frame is a window so I do not know how to disable the Navigation bar there where I guess it is coming from. Further testing shows that the ShowsNavigationUI property is false yet the nav bar shows itself in the parent window once there is a second page to go to (showing the 'home' page in the history. TIA

It’s an easy process, and here’s how to do it. This article is the first part of a multi-part series on how to customize the Ubuntu desktop, written by How-To Geek reader and ubergeek, Omar Hafiz. Making the Gnome Panels Transparent Of course we all love transparency, It makes your desktop so beautiful and lovely. So you go for enabling transparency in your panels , you right click on your panel, choose properties, go to the Background tab and make your panel transparent. Easy right? But instead of getting a lovely transparent panel, you often get a cluttered, ugly panel like this: Fortunately it can be easily fixed, all we need to do is to edit the theme files. If your theme is one of those themes that came with Ubuntu like Ambiance then you’ll have to copy it from /usr/share/themes to your own .themes directory in your Home Folder. You can do so by typing the following command in the terminal cp /usr/share/themes/theme_name ~/.themes Note: don’t forget to substitute theme_name with the theme name you want to fix. But if your theme is one you downloaded then it is already in your .themes folder. Now open your file manager and navigate to your home folder then do to .themes folder. If you can’t see it then you probably have disabled the “View hidden files” option. Press Ctrl+H to enable it. Now in .themes you’ll find your previously copied theme folder there, enter it then go to gtk-2.0 folder. There you may find a file named “panel.rc”, which is a configuration file that tells your panel how it should look like. If you find it there then rename it to “panel.rc.bak”. If you don’t find don’t panic! There’s nothing wrong with your system, it’s just that your theme decided to put the panel configurations in the “gtkrc” file. Open this file with your favorite text editor and at the end of the file there is line that looks like this “include “apps/gnome-panel.rc””. Comment out this line by putting a hash mark # in front of it. Now it should look like this “# include “apps/gnome-panel.rc”” Save and exit the text editor. Now change your theme to any other one then switch back to the one you edited. This was very useful, but now in 11.10 I can't find this option, it only shows me a list of applications and a button to look for applications in Internet. Is there a way to restore the command line to write custom commands to open files?

    I have downloaded the JSONObject plugin for parsing JSON in Unity but when I use it in a script I get an error indicating JSONObject cannot be found. My question is how do I use a custom object class defined inside another class. I know I need a using directive to solve this but I am not sure of the path to these custom objects I have imported. They are in the root project folder inside JSONObject folder and class is called JSONObject. Thanks
