• Error Copying Source File in Audio Spectrum Visualizer [closed]

  I'm testing this code using LibGDX, Java, and Eclipse to test the music player that detects the frequency. • Fixing LINQ Error: Sequence contains no elements

  I’ve read some posts regarding this error when using the First() or Single() command.   They suggest using FirstOrDefault() or SingleorDefault() instead. But I recently encountered it when using a Sum() command in conjunction with a Where():   Code Snippet var effectiveFloor = policies.Where(p => p.PricingStrategy == PricingStrategy.EstablishFloor).Max(p => p.Amount);   When the Where() function eliminated all the items in the policies collection, the Sum() command threw the “Sequence contains no elements” exception.   Inserting the DefaultIfEmpty() command between the Where() and Sum(), prevents this error: Code Snippet var effectiveFloor = policies.Where(p => p.PricingStrategy == PricingStrategy.EstablishFloor).DefaultIfEmpty().Max(p => p.Amount);   but now throws a Null Reference exception!   The Fix: Using a combination of DefaultIfEmpty() and a null check in the Sum() command solves this problem entirely: Code Snippet var effectiveFloor = policies.Where(p => p.PricingStrategy == PricingStrategy.EstablishFloor).DefaultIfEmpty().Max(p =>  p==null?0 :p.Amount);

  When trying to install SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1 to a SQL Server 2008 instance that is running on a virtual machine, the installer will start:   But then after about 20 seconds I receive the following error message: TITLE: SQL Server Setup failure. ----------------------------- SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error: Invoke or BeginInvoke cannot be called on a control until the window handle has been created. ------------------------------ BUTTONS: OK ------------------------------ Searching for this issue I found that several people have the same problem and there is no clear solution.  Some had success with closing windows or Internet Explorer but that didn’t work for me; what did work is to make sure the SQL Server 2008 “Please wait while SQL Server 2008 Setup processes the current operation.” dialog is selected and has the focus when it first shows up.  Selected (with the current focus) it looks like this:   Without focus the dialog looks like this: Add a comment if you find out any information about how to consistently get around this issue or why it is happening in the first place.

• Strange javascript error when using Kongregates API

  In the hopes of finding a fellow unity3d developer also aiming for the Kongregate contest.. I've implemented the Kongregate API and can see that the game receives a call with my username and presents it ingame. I'm using Application.ExternalCall("kongregate.stats.submit",type,amount); where type is a string "Best Score" and amount is an int (1000 or something). This is the error I'm getting: You are trying to call recursively into the Flash Player which is not allowed. In most cases the JavaScript setTimeout function, can be used as a workaround. callASFunction:function(a,b){if(FABrid...tion, can be used as a workaround."); I'm wondering, has anyone else had this error or am I somehow doing something stupid?   Hi all, I am having trouble installing Enclosure and getting it to work. I have followed this guide http://www.enclojure.org/gettingstarted and successfully installed Enclosure (I think). However, when I try to build the sample application (labrepl) I get a bunch of errors and a failed build. I haven't used Java in a long time and I've never used Netbeans, and the error doesn't seem very helpful with my limited knowledge of this domain. I'm using the latest Netbeans and the Enclosure URL from the guide. Since I am on Windows, I can't use git to clone the repo, so I'm not sure what to do from here. • Android: debug certificate expired error

  I started up Eclipse today, created a new project, and immediately had an error before I had changed a single line: Error generating final archive: Debug Certificate expired on 11/12/11 When installed, the Android SDK generates a "debug" signing certificate for you in a file called "debug.keystore". Eclipse uses this certificate rather than forcing you to create a new one for every project. In older versions of Eclipse, the certificate was only valid for 365 days, but as I understand it the default has been changed to 30 years in newer versions. If for whatever reason you don't want to upgrade Eclipse, you can manually delete the certificate to for Eclipse to generate a new one. You can find the location in Preferences -> Android -> Build -> Default debug keystore (mine was in C:\Users\myUserName\.android\); just delete the "debug.keystore" file, then go back into Eclipse and Clean the project to generate a new file.

  Was trying to install Ubuntu from a CD on a machine which already has windows on it, choose the option of "Resize IDE1 master (hda) and use freed space" during the "Install the base system" step. After that i get the error: Unable to install initrd-tools. An error was returned while trying to install the initrd-tools package into the target system. Check /target/var/log/bootstrap.log for details. The problem is one one hand i cannot proceed with the complete installation and on other hand if i remove the CD, am not able to boot windows as it says No bootable device. Would highly appreciate for any recommendations.

• PHPUnit reporting "Aborted" no matter what tests are run

  Having a weird problem with PHPUnit. We're using PHPUnit as part of a continuous integration environment, that contains one app written using Zend Framework and one app written using CodeIgniter. Unit tests run just fine under Zend Framework, but whenever I run the tests for CodeIgniter using fooStack's CIUnit bridge, I always get the same problem at the end: PHPUnit 3.4.14 by Sebastian Bergmann. ............... . Time: 1 second, Memory: 7.00Mb OK (16 tests, 14 assertions) Aborted First off, I do not know what those empty spaces between the . means. Secondly, no matter what test I run (all of them or each one separately) I get the same Aborted message at the very end. The tests themselves do not contain any exit or die statements. When I run the same version of PHPUnit on my laptop (running OS-X Snow Leopard and same version of Zend Server Community Edition) I do not get that aborted message. Running PHP 5.3.2 on Ubuntu installed using Zend Server Community Edition. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

• What does intermittent "Input/output error" suggest?

  Lately my Ubuntu 12 system has started acting very strange. Sometimes the computer freezes and then unfreezes 2 minutes later, and other times when I try a basic command like less I get the error bash: /usr/bin/less: Input/output error. But this is intermittent too. Any suggestions? Also if I try sudo reboot and enter my password, I get sudo: unable to open /var/lib/sudo/plato/7: Read-only file system Before I used to be able to do sudo reboot fine. If I tail /var/log/syslog I do see these curious lines: .... ata1: softreset failed (device not ready) .... ata1: hard resettting link .... ata1: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0) What can I do to fix this?

I've looked at many - the WPF one, XCeed, Ingragistics, DevExpress, etc.... but none of them seem to offer the simple requirement I have: I want to be able to display group subtotals in their columns in the group row, e.g. GROUP 1 xxxx.xx GROUP 2 xxxx.xx ROW 1 xx.xx ROW 2 xx.xx Does anyone know of a grid that does this, or a nice supporting collection that implements aggregate functions (group totals would need to be used in individual line items) so that existing grids with a bit of XAML styling would work? • GRUB 2 Error : No such disk

  I have gone through many pains to boot through my windows 7 partition. I had windows 7, then one fine day I installed Ubuntu and again formatted the partition where Ubuntu was installed only to find the my Windows does not boot(Probably corrupted MBR). I again installed Ubuntu later but the Grub could not detect windows. So I manually added windows by editing the file 40_custom. But when I select the win7 entry in the grub, it displays the error : no such disk. What do I do?? Additional Info : Ubuntu version : 11.10 x64|| Win 7 Home premium, 64 bit|| While in the process of debugging I once also came across the error : Sector 32 being in use by FlexNet.|| Strongly in need of booting my Win 7 without any formats or fresh OS installations. Thankful for any Diagnostics and Solutions to my problem.

My simple requirement: Reading a huge ( a million) line test file (For this example assume it's a CSV of some sorts) and keeping a reference to the beginning of that line for faster lookup in the future (read a line, starting at X). I tried the naive and easy way first, using a StreamWriter and accessing the underlying BaseStream.Position. Unfortunately that doesn't work as I intended: Given a file containing the following Foo Bar Baz Bla Fasel and this very simple code using (var sr = new StreamReader(@"C:\Temp\LineTest.txt")) { string line; long pos = sr.BaseStream.Position; while ((line = sr.ReadLine()) != null) { Console.Write("{0:d3} ", pos); Console.WriteLine(line); pos = sr.BaseStream.Position; } } the output is: 000 Foo 025 Bar 025 Baz 025 Bla 025 Fasel I can imagine that the stream is trying to be helpful/efficient and probably reads in (big) chunks whenever new data is necessary. For me this is bad.. The question, finally: Any way to get the (byte, char) offset while reading a file line by line without using a basic Stream and messing with \r \n \r\n and string encoding etc. manually? Not a big deal, really, I just don't like to build things that might exist already..
