• Why did I have to remove resolvconf to get dnsmasq to work again?

  Yesterday I upgraded to Precise and dnsmasq stopped working. That is, DNS queries to localhost were dnsmasq is listening (127.0.0.1) were refused. Removing resolvconf (apt-get remove resolvconf) and rebooting solved the issue (found that suggestion somewhere on Google). /etc/resolv.conf looked fine with and without resolvconf in place. No difference at all. Why would I use resolvconf? Are there any benefits? The Wikipedia article covering resolvconf sucks. Why did resolvconf interfere with dnsmasq? Is this a known issue?

• Another website is mirroring my site

  Question for you all. There is a site of ill repute known as thedirty which has completely mirrored my site and now has links appearing on Google at the #1 spot using my content. I checked my log file and noticed that this site has been crawling mine from sometime, and also has 10k links from their site to mine. I have blocked user access which is referred from this site and reported them as web spam to Google already. I also disavowed the domain. How are they getting top links in Google (even overtaking mine) for such nefarious tactics? What are the steps to completely eliminating an issue such as this?

  from some days before i read about the problem google show with another search engine Bing who come from Microsoft. well google show that bing copycat and Microsoft show that they not. i am not known matter much more but predict something that maybe true if google are right in what they tell. if MS really copy the search from User then they use Live service who used by all user who use the internet or on the internet. see the snapshot i have in this snapshot they tell that Help improved search results,internet safety and Microsoft software by allowing Microsoft to collect and retain information about your system, the searches you do and the websites you visit. Microsoft will not use this information to personally identify or contact you. • What's the best way to handle slopes for a platfomer game using Box2D

  I would like to know if there is any known solution for handling the player's movement on slopes using Box2D engine. I tried to do it using a circle as the player. Everything was fine until I tried to walk on slopes, the main problem is that due to gravity, the circle does not stop on the slope. Please if somebody has tried this before I'll appreciate it. If you have a better solution without the physics engine would be fine for me too. Thank you.

• Is it possible to run two VPN clients at the same time?

  I would like to run two VPN clients at the same time: one Cisco client and one VPNC client. For now I have my VPNC client configured to route only some known IPs to the VNC interface and would like to add the same thing for the Cisco client at the same time. Is it possible ? Do I need a Cisco client to connect to a Cisco server or can I use an other client such as VPNc ? I installed the cisco one because it was the one suggested but I am wondering if this is mandatory ? I guess the answer may be yes, and off course I am interested in "required configurations" to do that

• Should Business Interfaces be part of the Model layer?

  In an oriented-services enterprise application, isn't it an antipattern to mix Service APIs (containing interface that external users depends on) with Model objects (entities, custom exceptions objects etc...) ? According to me, Services should only depends on Model layer but never mixed with it. In fact, my colleague told me that it doesn't make sense to separate it since client need both. (model and service interfaces) But I notice that everytime a client asks for some changes, like adding a new method in some interface (means a new service), Model layer has to be also delivered... Thus, client who has not interested by this "addition" is constrained to be concerned by this update of Model... and in a large enterprise application, this kind of delivery is known to be very risked... What is the best practice ? Separate services(only interfaces so) and model objects or mix it ?
