  • doubt regarding carrying data in custom events using actionscript

    - by user267530
    Hi I am working on actionscript to generate a SWF dynamically using JSON data coming from an HTTP request. I receive the data on creationComplete and try to generate a tree like structure. I don’t create the whole tree at the same time. I create 2 levels, level 1 and level 2. My goal is to attach custom events on the panels which represent tree nodes. When users click the panels, it dispatches custom events and try to generate the next level. So, it goes like this : On creation complete - get JSON- create top tow levels - click on level 2- create the level 2 and level 3 - click on level 3- create level 3 and 4. …and so on and so on. I am attaching my code with this email. Please take a look at it and if you have any hints on how you would do this if you need to paint a tree having total level number = “n” where( 0 import com.iwobanas.effects.*; import flash.events.MouseEvent; import flash.filters.BitmapFilterQuality; import flash.filters.BitmapFilterType; import flash.filters.GradientGlowFilter; import mx.controls.Alert; private var roundedMask:Sprite; private var panel:NewPanel; public var oldPanelIds:Array = new Array(); public var pages:Array = new Array();//cleanup public var delPages:Array = new Array(); public function DrawPlaybook(pos:Number,title:String,chld:Object):void { panel = new NewPanel(chld); panel.title = title; panel.name=title; panel.width = 100; panel.height = 80; panel.x=pos+5; panel.y=40; // Define a gradient glow. var gradientGlow:GradientGlowFilter = new GradientGlowFilter(); gradientGlow.distance = 0; gradientGlow.angle = 45; gradientGlow.colors = [0xFFFFF0, 0xFFFFFF]; gradientGlow.alphas = [0, 1]; gradientGlow.ratios = [0, 255]; gradientGlow.blurX = 10; gradientGlow.blurY = 10; gradientGlow.strength = 2; gradientGlow.quality = BitmapFilterQuality.HIGH; gradientGlow.type = BitmapFilterType.OUTER; panel.filters =[gradientGlow]; this.rawChildren.addChild(panel); pages.push(panel); panel.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, function(e:MouseEvent){onClickHandler(e,title,chld)}); this.addEventListener(CustomPageClickEvent.PANEL_CLICKED, function(e:CustomPageClickEvent){onCustomPanelClicked(e,title)}); } public function onClickHandler(e:MouseEvent,title:String,chld:Object):void { //var panel:Panel; for each(var stp1:NewPanel in pages){ if(stp1.title==title){ var eventObj:CustomPageClickEvent = new CustomPageClickEvent("panelClicked"); eventObj.panelClicked = stp1; dispatchEvent(eventObj); } } } private function onCustomPanelClicked(e:CustomPageClickEvent,title:String):void { //cleanup itself Alert.show("onCustomPanelClicked" + title); var panel:NewPanel; for each(var stp:NewPanel in pages){ startAnimation(e,stp); } if(title == e.panelClicked.title){ panel = new NewPanel(null); panel.title = title; panel.name=title; panel.width = 150; panel.height = 80; panel.x=100; panel.y=40; this.rawChildren.addChild(panel); // var slideRight:SlideRight = new SlideRight(); slideRight.target=panel; slideRight.duration=750; slideRight.showTarget=true; slideRight.play(); //draw the steps var jsonData = this.map.getValue(title); var posX:Number = 50; var posY:Number = 175; for each ( var pnl:NewPanel in pages){ pages.pop(); } for each ( var stp1:Object in jsonData.children){ //Alert.show("map step=" + stp.text ); panel = new NewPanel(null); panel.title = stp1.text; panel.name=stp1.id; panel.width = 100; panel.id=stp1.id; panel.height = 80; panel.x = posX; panel.y=posY; posX+=150; var s:String="hi" + stp1.text; panel.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, function(e:MouseEvent){onChildClick(e,s);}); this.addEventListener(CustomPageClickEvent.PANEL_CLICKED, function(e:CustomPageClickEvent){onCustomPnlClicked(e)}); this.rawChildren.addChild(panel); // Alert.show("map step=" + this.getChildIndex(panel) ); // oldPanelIds.push(panel); pages.push(panel); //this.addEventListener(CustomPageClickEvent.PANEL_CLICKED, //function(e:CustomPageClickEvent){onCustomPanelClicked(e,title)}); var slide:SlideUp = new SlideUp(); slide.target=panel; slide.duration=1500; slide.showTarget=false; slide.play(); } } } public function onChildClick(e:MouseEvent,s:String):void { //var panel:Panel; //Alert.show(e.currentTarget.title); for each(var stp1:NewPanel in pages){ if(stp1.title==e.currentTarget.title){ var eventObj:CustomPageClickEvent = new CustomPageClickEvent("panelClicked"); eventObj.panelClicked = stp1; dispatchEvent(eventObj); } } } private function onCustomPnlClicked(e:CustomPageClickEvent):void { for each ( var pnl:NewPanel in pages){ pages.pop(); } //onCustomPanelClicked(e,e.currentTarget.title); //Alert.show("hi from cstm" + e.panelClicked.title); } private function fadePanel(event:Event,panel:NewPanel):void{ panel.alpha -= .005; if (panel.alpha <= 0){ //Alert.show(panel.title); panel.removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, function(e:Event){fadePanel(e,panel);}); }; panel.title=""; } private function startAnimation(event:CustomPageClickEvent,panel:NewPanel):void{ panel.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, function(e:Event){fadePanel(e,panel)}); } Thanks in advance.   • Fullcalendar jquery plugin Show years on nextYear buttons

    - by Nathan Neff
    I'm using the fullcalendar jquery plugin, and would like to display 2009 and 2011 in the nextYear and prevYear buttons. For exmaple: 2009 May 2010 2011 I know I can put static text on the buttons like this: buttonText: { prevYear: '2009', nextYear: '2011' }, But I would like those years to change, depending on the year that the calendar is currently viewing. There's documentation about 'year' here: http://arshaw.com/fullcalendar/docs/current_date/ but I don't know how to get that 'year' property. Any examples would be appreciated, Thanks, --Nate

  • $.ajax ColdFusion cfc JSON Hello World

    - by cf_PhillipSenn
    I've simplified this example as much as I can. I have a remote function: <cfcomponent output="false"> <cffunction name="Read" access="remote" output="false"> <cfset var local = {}> <cfquery name="local.qry" datasource="myDatasource"> SELECT PersonID,FirstName,LastName FROM Person </cfquery> <cfreturn local.qry> </cffunction> </cfcomponent> And using the jQuery $.ajax method, I would like to make an unordered list of everyone. <!DOCTYPE HTML> <html> <head> <script src="http://www.google.com/jsapi"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> google.load("jquery", "1"); </script> <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(function($){ $.ajax({ url: "Remote/Person.cfc?method=Read&ReturnFormat=json", success: function(data){ var str = '<ul>'; // This is where I need help: for (var I=0; I<data.length; I++) { str += '<li>' + I + data[I][1]+ '</li>' } str += '</ul>'; $('body').html(str); }, error: function(ErrorMsg){ console.log("Error"); } }); }); </script> </head> <body> </body> </html> The part where I'm lost is where I'm looping over the data. I prefer to the use jQuery $.ajax method because I understand that $.get and $.post don't have error trapping. I don't know how to handle JSON returned from the cfc.

  • Using Subversion for Web Experiments while maintaining 'view-ability'

    - by Andrew Bolster
    I'm experimenting with different workflows and backup schemes, and one thing I'm trying is using subversion for my web experiments. I have an off-site subversion server, and assuming the project is 'public_html' (which in this case it is), I want to be able to go to the index.html page and for it to be rendered instead of just pumped out as a text file. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious; I am not a web developer

  • Can't read excel file after creating it using File.WriteAllText() function

    - by Srikanth Mattihalli

I want to read the excel sheet programatically using the below connectionstring. This string works fine for all other excel sheets but not for the one i created using the above function. I guess it is because of excel version problem. OleDbConnection conn= new OleDbConnection("Data Source='" + path +"';provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Extended Properties=Excel 8.0;";); Can anyone suggest a way by which i can create an excel sheet such that it is readable again using above query. I cannot use Microsoft InterOp library as it is not supported by my host.

  • SIMPLE file reading in Perl

    - by Befall
    Hey guys, The other answered questions were a bit complicated for me, as I'm extremely new to using Perl. I'm curious how Perl reads in the files, how to tell it to advance to the next line in the text file, and how to make it read all lines in the .txt file until, for example, it reaches item "banana". Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks!

  • css3 rotate alternative

    I am using the CSS3 rule, "rotate" to rotate a div containing text. You can see the page here: http://vitaminjdesign.com/v2/socialmedia.html. I am looking for cross browser support for rotating the div; however, this CS3 rule won't work on IE. Is there a jquery option or another javascript solution that will yield the same result, with cross browser compatibility?

  • Using a Custom Dictionary with Microsoft's MODI

Is there any way to use a custom dictionary when using MODI or add words to the regular English dictionary that it uses?

  • Typo blogging platform with Heroku hosting: theming

    - by Jack
    Does anyone know how to workarounds Heroku's limitations on writing to the theme files for the Typo blogging platform? I'd like to take advantage of the theming capabilities right from the browser. If any theme's stylesheet is changed I get the error message "Unable to write file" in addition to the fact that any theme being changed to one that is not the default causes the page to lose all styling and is displayed in plain text. I followed this (awesome) blog entry to get it up and working.

  • AppEngine BlobStore upload failing with a request that works in the Development Environment

    - by Joe Ludwig
    I have an AppEngine application that uses the blobstore to store user-provided image data. When I upload images to that application from a form in Chrome it works fine. When I try to upload an image from an Android application it fails. Both methods work fine if I am running against the development server, but the Android upload doesn't work against the live service. This is the request from Chrome: POST /_ah/upload/?userToken=11001/AMmfu6ZCyMQQ9YdiXal3SmSXIRTQIuSRXkNc-i3JmU0fqx_kJbUJ2OMLcS2lXhVJSK4qs7regViTKzOPz5ejoZYi0nAD5o8vNltiOViQw6DZO7_byZz3Ut0/ALBNUaYAAAAAS_lusgPMAGmpPrg0BuNsJyymX-57ob4i/ HTTP/1.1 Host: photohuntservice.appspot.com Connection: keep-alive User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.1.249.1064 Safari/532.5 Referer: http://photohuntservice.appspot.com/debug_newpuzzle?userToken=11001 Content-Length: 60360 Cache-Control: max-age=0 Origin: http://photohuntservice.appspot.com Content-Type: multipart/form-data; boundary=----WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN Accept: application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate,sdch Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.8 Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.3 ------WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN Content-Disposition: form-data; name="userToken" 11001 ------WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN Content-Disposition: form-data; name="img"; filename="Photo_020908_001.jpg" Content-Type: image/jpeg <image data> ------WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN Content-Disposition: form-data; name="longitude" -122.084095 ------WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN Content-Disposition: form-data; name="latitude" 37.422006 ------WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN-- This is the request from my client (which is written in Java on Android, but I don't think that's relevant): POST /_ah/upload/?userToken=11001/AMmfu6Zf9an6AU4lT9UuhIpxOZyOYb1LMwimFpeSh8zr6J1sX9F2ddJW3Qlsw0kwV3oALv-TNPWRQ6g4_Dgwk0UTwF47bbc78Yl44kDeV69MydTuR3N46S4/ALBNUaYAAAAAS_mMr3CYqTg3aVBDjhRxP0DyyRdvotyG/ HTTP/1.1 Content-Type: multipart/form-data;boundary=----WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG Cache-Control: max-age=0 Accept: */* Origin: http://photohuntservice.appspot.com Connection: keep-alive Referer: http://photohuntservice.appspot.com/getuploadurl?userToken=11001 Content-Length: 2638 Host: photohuntservice.appspot.com User-Agent: Apache-HttpClient/UNAVAILABLE (java 1.4) Expect: 100-Continue ------WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG Content-Disposition: form-data; name="userToken" 11001 ------WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG Content-Disposition: form-data; name="img";filename="PhotoHunt.jpg" Content-Type: image/jpeg <image data> ------WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG Content-Disposition: form-data; name="latitude" 37.422006 ------WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG Content-Disposition: form-data; name="longitude" -122.084095 ------WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG-- In both cases the AppEngine Python code to catch the request is the same: class UploadPuzzle( blobstore_handlers.BlobstoreUploadHandler ): def post(self): upload_files = self.get_uploads( ) The problem is that when running on the production AppEngine service self.get_uploads() returns an empty list when the request is made from my client app. Both requests return what I expect (a list with one blob_info in it) on the development server, and Chrome returns what I expect in both cases.

  • How efficient is Python substring extraction?

    I've got the entire contents of a text file (at least a few KB) in string myStr. Will the following code create a copy of the string (less the first character) in memory? myStr = myStr[1:] I'm hoping it just refers to a different location in the same internal buffer. If not, is there a more efficient way to do this? Thanks! Note: I'm using Python 2.5.

Can anyone see what I am doing wrong or tell me how to unsuspend the binding so it will pull the correct data?
