Here is what I'm trying to do: stats = { 'copied': 5, 'skipped': 14 } print( 'Copied: {copied}, Skipped: {skipped}'.format( stats ) ) The above code will not work because the format() call is not reading the dictionary values and using those in place of my format placeholders. How can I modify my code to work with my dictionary?

  • A non interactive alternative to makecert.

    Dear ladies and sirs. I have a need to create a self signed certificate non interactively. Unfortunately, the only tool that I know of (makecert) is interactive - it uses GUI to ask for a password. My OS is Windows (from XP to 2008). The only thing close that I managed to find is http://www.codeproject.com/Tips/125982/How-to-run-Makecert-without-password-window.aspx, however, it is still not good. Any ideas?

  • problem with zsh interactive shell

    When I use zsh in interactive mode, I get some glitches. This mainly happens when the command spills over onto a new line and I use backspace, with backspace leaving behind some glitches on the screen and moving the cursor to an odd position. It happens in a VT, in xterm and urxvt, although it is most noticeable with my chosen terminal, urxvt. When I use zsh as a login shell, it does not happen at all. What could be causing this?

    VMWare ESXi4 with 2 VM's (FreeBSD-amd64). When doing a reboot on one of the VM's, the reboot is done in normal speed, but after that, the interactive response time on the other gets very slow: pressing return at the command prompt, takes serveral seconds to be exectuted. SSH-ing to the VM machine takes a long time before you are logged in. Only after 20 minutes or so, the situation is normalized. What's the reason and how to remedy?

    This is an age old problem of interactive elements inside interactive elements, but I want a ScatterViewItem to contain other surface interactive elements such as a SurfaceButton or SurfaceCheckBox. I've got all my elements in there and they react to taps etc. The problem is that I only get the normal ScatterView behavior once I click on an area that does not contain a control. Is there an elegant solution to allow dragging even when the contact is on a SurfaceButton or SurfaceCheckbox? e.g. <s:ScatterView > <Grid Width="200" Height="200"> <s:SurfaceButton /> </Grid> </s:ScatterView>

    Dear Guys I am somehow newbie and sometimes guru , but at this moment i don't have enough time to research My nightmare is , my boss ask me to create an interactive floor ( he just saw in an exhibition ) , he ask me to create one of them instead of buying , i am an actionscript crawler and developer with some skills in java and c# programming , i just made some track motion with a simple web cam , and this idea came to my mind if i can use an infrared or thermographic camera instead of simple camera so i can get better positioning if camera place at top of floor ! Now i just came here to ask you guys is there any resource , tip , help i can know before getting into this deal !? is there any lib or api out to deal with this ?! EVEN, if there is any resource , article from another language c++ , c , .... could help i just didn't have enough time to test lot of ways If you search interactive floors , or interactive floor projection you can find some companies who provide such a thing Thanks in advance ( and sorry for my damn poor english , français could be better :D )

    We are working on a web based application (implemented in JAVA) on commodity prices and one part of it is interactive charting. I provide a simplified example here. We have a table in Mysql database where we have information on commodity prices in US states and counties. One aspect of the application is to create interactive plots based on user choice. For example, if the user needs to see the price density in Oregon and Linn county then she chooses it from the menu in a webpage and it is rendered on fly with accompanying quantile information in a table. As the user changes state and county these plots and table change on fly.For our computational need we are using R (and use rjava to integrate it to our web application) and I know that if interactivity is not an issue this is a piece of cake in ggplot2, but I am not aware of any interactive version of R graphics framework (like lattice, ggplot2). We are exploring google visualization API but I am not sure we can have the statistical power we need in some of the plots.Please help.

    I have a program that operates on a large set of experimental data. The data is stored as a list of objects that are instances of a class with the following attributes: time_point - the time of the sample cluster - the name of the cluster of nodes from which the sample was taken code - the name of the node from which the sample was taken qty1 = the value of the sample for the first quantity qty2 = the value of the sample for the second quantity I need to derive some values from the data set, grouped in three ways - once for the sample as a whole, once for each cluster of nodes, and once for each node. The values I need to derive depend on the (time sorted) cumulative sums of qty1 and qty2: the maximum value of the element-wise sum of the cumulative sums of qty1 and qty2, the time point at which that maximum value occurred, and the values of qty1 and qty2 at that time point. The first snippet above runs well for my initial dataset (on the order of a million records), but later datasets will have more records and clusters/nodes, so scalability is a concern. This is my first non-trivial use of Python, and I want to make sure I'm taking proper advantage of the language (this is replacing a very convoluted set of SQL queries, and earlier versions of the Python version were essentially very ineffecient straight transalations of what that did).     I thought I'd put together a quick script to consolidate the CSS rules I have distributed across multiple CSS files, then I can minify it. I'm new to Python but figured this would be a good exercise to try a new language. My main loop isn't parsing the CSS as I thought it would. I populate a list with selectors parsed from the CSS files to return the CSS rules in order.   • Problem using easy_install on Windows 7, 64 bit. (cannot find python.exe)

    Hi, I have just now installed Python 2.6 on my Windows 7 (64 bit) Lenovo t61p laptop. I have downloaded Sphinx and nose and apparently installed them correctly using python setup.py install (at least no errors were reported during the installation). Now I am trying to install pymongo using easy_install but I am not having much success. It seems that easy_install isn't working at all. I execute easy_install as administrator: C:\>easy_install Cannot find Python executable C:\Program Files\Python26\python.exe The path C:\Program Files\Python26\python.exe is correct. I have found this bug report on bugs.python.org which seems to be related, although its status is 'Resolved'. Do you have any ideas as to what may be wrong? Any pointers, hints or tips for diagnosing the problem further would be greatly appreciated.
