  • Batch file to Zip using only whats available to user

    I am trying to write a script that I can give to user to have it automatically zip certain files of theirs and then load them onto an ftp site. Anyone know where I could find information on writing a batch file for auto-zipping files using only what is available to a user running windows? I have been looking for quite a bit but I am struggling. Thanks.

  • jQuery ajax form and Zend_Form file upload

    If i submit my ajax form from jQuery, and do print_r($_FILES); i get a list of files uploaded, but if i do something like this $add_form->sound_file->isUploaded(); or $params = $this->_getAllParams(); print_r($params); i don't get my file in zend parametars, and i don't get it uploaded!? Mayb the problem is with he context beng ajax?!

    I have the following simple code: ofstream output("test"); output << 'a'; When I do an octal dump of the file, I get this: 0000000 000141 0000001 I can see that 000141 (in base 8) is 8 bits wide and 0000001 is probably EOF. What is the first byte of all 0's and why is it there? I know it is null is ascii but what is its purpose?

    Just today I've started using Drupal for a site I'm designing/developing. For my own site http://jwm-art.net I wrote a user-unfriendly CMS in PHP. My brief experience with Drupal is making me want to convert from the CMS I wrote. A CMS whose sole method (other than comments) of automatically publishing content is by logging in via SSH and using NANO to create a plain text file in a format like so*: head<<END_HEAD title = Audio keywords= open,source,audio,sequencing,sampling,synthesis descr = Music, noise, and audio, created by James W. I need to get the current balance, and when money is transferred from either checking or savings, it should add it to checking and subtract it from savings. which is does, but not correctly...   • Please help debug this ASP.Net [VB] code. Trying to write to text file from SQL Server DB.

    I am a PHP programmer. I have no .Net coding experience (last seen it 4 years ago). Not interested in code-behind model since this is a quick temporary hack. What I am trying to do is generate an output.txt file whenever the user submits new data. So an output.txt file if exists should be replaced with the new one. I want to write data in this format : 123|Java Programmer|2010-01-01|2010-02-03 124|VB Programmer|2010-01-01|2010-02-03 125|.Net Programmer|2010-01-01|2010-02-03 I don't know VB, so not sure about string manipulations. Hope a kind soul can help me with this. I will be grateful to you.   • How to vertically align text in a button with a background drawable?

    I had a simple button set up with a background image defined like android:background="?attr/button" where ?attr/button was a reference to a simple 9-patch png. Everything worked fine, text in the button was aligned correctly. Then I needed to have a different background for a pressed state of the button. So I changed that to android:background="@drawable/state_button" where @drawable/state_button is an xml with the following states <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <item android:state_pressed="true" android:drawable="@drawable/button_pressed" /> <!-- pressed --> <item android:state_focused="true" android:drawable="@drawable/button_pressed" /> <!-- focused --> <item android:drawable="@drawable/button" /> <!-- default --> </selector> And after that I can't align the text properly. If I put android:gravity="center_vertical" the text is drawn about 1/4 of the button height from the top. I double-checked my 9-patch images, everything seems fine with them. And I also tried having regular pngs for the background, it also doesn't change anything.

  • Downloading a file over HTTP the SSIS way

    This post shows you how to download files from a web site whilst really making the most of the SSIS objects that are available. There is no task to do this, so we have to use the Script Task and some simple VB.NET or C# (if you have SQL Server 2008) code. Very often I see suggestions about how to use the .NET class System.Net.WebClient and of course this works, you can code pretty much anything you like in .NET. Here I’d just like to raise the profile of an alternative. This approach uses the HTTP Connection Manager, one of the stock connection managers, so you can use configurations and property expressions in the same way you would for all other connections. Settings like the security details that you would want to make configurable already are, but if you take the .NET route you have to write quite a lot of code to manage those values via package variables. Using the connection manager we get all of that flexibility for free. The screenshot below illustrate some of the options we have. Using the HttpClientConnection class makes for much simpler code as well. I have demonstrated two methods, DownloadFile which just downloads a file to disk, and DownloadData which downloads the file and retains it in memory. In each case we show a message box to note the completion of the download.   • How to get IIS7 to release a locked file?

    During our production builds, a very large (10 megabyte) static content file in the root directory will sometimes be locked by IIS and cannot be deleted by the clean task. This is presumably because it is being actively served to one or more clients at the time. The build process stops the website before cleaning via c:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe stop site http://oursite.com However, this does not release the file - we have to restart IIS to get the process to relinquish its lock. appcmd.exe allows you to take IIS down completely; we do not want to do this! Are there any other ways to get IIS to let go of a locked file, without restarting IIS? Simply stopping and starting the individual website is definitely not working to release the file lock.

In the event viewer the only error that appears is: Unable to scan user libraries for changes and perform backup of modified files for configuration C:\Users\win8User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory\Configuration\Config I've tried deleting both the configuration files and the FileHistory directory on the target drive. Setting up File History again results in the same error. Is there a better way to track down what is causing the failure? Or somehow get the File History tool to create a more verbose log file that shows what is causing the problem?
