  I have visual studio 2008, I want to integrate GSL library in my project, kindly give me some guidelines so that I can make it possible. I have added the GSL library but the following error come. • is there a vba query string length limit and a way to overcome this issue?

  I am trying to combine multiple audit tables, and then filter the results into an excel sheet. The Union All and parameters make the query in excess of 1200 characters. It appears the string is truncated when running this. What recommendations can anyone make. I have no control over the database structure and am only reading foxpro free tables.   Can a compound key be set as a primary key to another table? For instance i have the tables: Books -with Primary Key:Product_ID Client -with Primary key: Client_ID Clients_Books -with Compound Primary Key:Product_Id and Client_ID I want to set this compound Primary key from Clients_Books as a Primary Key to another table named: Order_Details. But I don't want to use the Product_ID and the Client_ID from the Books, Clients tables. Does this make sense? All opinions more than welcome.

  Hi, I read with interest the post "How universally is C99 supported ?". One of the comments therein points that Microsoft doesn't support C99. But the comment symbol // works with MVS 2008 and this symbol is in C99. I have two questions: To what extent MVS 2008 support C99? Is it ok in the same code to mix C89 and C99 syntax together? So if I write my code in C89 and then place a comment //. This means that I have mixed-coding. So what does the compiler do in such a case? • Localize Currency for iPhone

  I would like my iPhone app to allow the input, display and storage of currency amounts using the appropriate symbol ($, €, £, ¥, etc) for the user. Would NSNumberFormatter do everything I need? What happens when a user switches their locale and these amounts (dollars, yen, etc.) are stored as NSDecimalNumbers. I assume, to be safe, it's necessary to somehow capture the locale at the time of entry and then the currency symbol and store them in my instance along with the NSDecimalNumber ivar so they can be unwrapped and displayed appropriately down the road should the user changed their locale since the time when the item was created? Sorry, I have little localization experience so hoping for a couple quick pointers before diving in. Lastly, any insight on how to you handle this kind of input given the limitations of the iPhone's keyboards?

  Hello. I'm trying to write a performance measurements library for Scala. My idea is to transparently 'mark' sections so that the execution time can be collected. Unfortunately I wasn't able to bend the compiler to my will. I use mkTimer like this: val myTimer = mkTimer('aTimer) val myString= myTimer { (1 to 100000).mkString("-") } println (myString) But I get a compiler error: error: type mismatch; found : String required: () => Nothing (1 to 100000).mkString("-") I get the same error if I inline the currying: val timerBigString = time('timerBigString) _ val bigString = timerBigString { (1 to 100000).mkString("-") } println (bigString) This works if I do val timerBigString = time('timerBigString) (_: String), but this is not what I want. I'd like to defer typing of the partially applied function until application. I conclude that the compiler is deciding the return type of the partial function when I first create it, chosing "Nothing" because it can't make a better informed choice. So I guess what I'm looking for is a sort of late-binding of the partially applied function. Is there any way to do this? Or maybe is there a completely different path I could follow?   hi! I've two tables to join with a column(say emp_id)..if emp_id in both the tables have null values, how'll MS SQL server and Oracle treat??? Coz, i read that informatica will neglect the NULL rows when joining..if i handle the null, by substituting -1, a cross-join will happen which i don't want.. what can i do here? I cannot completely neglect the rows which has NULL. Thanks

  I want to run a HelloWorld JOGL programm on the commandline. I downloaded the .jars from jogamp.org and put the gluegen-rt.jar , jogl.all.jar , gluegen-java-src.zip , jogl-java-src.zip , gluegen-rt-natives-macosx-universal.jar , jogl-all-natives-macosx-universal.jar in a directory "jar" in my HelloWorld folder - as described in http://jogamp.org/wiki/index.php/Downloading_and_installing_JOGL . Now I try to compile with javac -classpath "jar/gluegen-rt.jar:jar/jogl.all.jar" HelloWorld.java as described on https://jogamp.org/wiki/index.php/Setting_up_a_JogAmp_project_in_your_favorite_IDE . Then it throws me 14 errors starting with HelloWorld.java:7: package javax.media.opengl does not exist import javax.media.opengl.GL; ^ When I try to compile with absolute paths using javac -classpath "/Users/jonas/Desktop/cool_jogl/helloworld/jar/gluegen-rt.jar:/Users/jonas/Desktop/cool_jogl/helloworld/jar/jogl-all.jar" HelloWorld.java it still throws me 12 errors starting with HelloWorld.java:9: cannot find symbol symbol : class GLCanvas location: package javax.media.opengl import javax.media.opengl.GLCanvas; ^

  I'm using the zend currency module to manage currencies in a web app. I can't figure out how to create a custom format for my currencies, since there are no examples on the documentation pages: http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.currency.options.html From what I read there, I could use the format parameter to set a format, but I can't find a way how. Does anyone have a good code example for this problem? currently I do the following: $currency->setFormat(array (display' => Zend_Currency::USE_SYMBOL)); That works to display only the symbol, but I'm also interested in putting an extra space after or before the symbol and to display currencies like this: "$ 1,234.56 USD" "€ 1.234,56 EUR"

  Hi there, Been struggling with replacing a backslash by another symbol such as '.-.' just to indicate the position of backslashes as I could not send a string such as 'C\xampp\etc.' through url as GET variable so I thought I'd first replace the backslashes in that string by another symbol, then send through url, and then replace them back to backslashes in the PHP file that handles it. Though would there be a better way to send such strings through url? Because when I try a script such as: $tmp_name = preg_replace("\", ".-.", $_FILES['uploadfile']['tmp_name']); It turns out into a php error as \ is also used as delimiter.. Could anyone help me out on this? Thanks in advanced! Btw, if I'd be able to send a full array through url, this whole problem would be solved, but I don't think it's possible?
