  Does anybody know how to activate the google mobile sync in standard edition? Every time i try to save the checked "enable google sync" checkbox, the checkbox is unchecked again after reloading... Is there another way for doing this? I cant use my calendar, contacts, email on my iphone - very nasty!!! Thanks!

  Hello, I need to make a cvs file in cocoa. • large amount of data in many text files - how to process?

  Hi, I have large amounts of data (a few terabytes) and accumulating... They are contained in many tab-delimited flat text files (each about 30MB). Most of the task involves reading the data and aggregating (summing/averaging + additional transformations) over observations/rows based on a series of predicate statements, and then saving the output as text, HDF5, or SQLite files, etc. I normally use R for such tasks but I fear this may be a bit large. Some candidate solutions are to 1) write the whole thing in C (or Fortran) 2) import the files (tables) into a relational database directly and then pull off chunks in R or Python (some of the transformations are not amenable for pure SQL solutions) 3) write the whole thing in Python Would (3) be a bad idea? I know you can wrap C routines in Python but in this case since there isn't anything computationally prohibitive (e.g., optimization routines that require many iterative calculations), I think I/O may be as much of a bottleneck as the computation itself. Do you have any recommendations on further considerations or suggestions? Thanks

• Cropping an image, saving output to a new file and get crop coordinates

  I'm interfacing with a service that allows you to upload an image, and also upload coordinates of a thumbnail of that image. I'm thinking that (if there isn't some sort of prefab Activity specifically for this) that I can use Android's crop utility. The only problem is that I can't overwrite the original file, the crop window needs to have a custom message (instead of "crop image"), and I'll need the coordinates of the crop. Is this possible? Is there another way to do this without writing my own Activity?

So a requirement is the reference must be made in the constructor. Also not all threads will be pointing at the same single base int so I can not use a global static int either. I know I can just box the int inside a class and pass the class around but I wanted to know if that is the correct way of doing something like this?   Hello every one :) I wont to create a pdf from a form on my page, but the Problem is, I need it excactly like the page with form, all entires. So I have for example 2 Input Fields, 7 Radio, 2 Checkboxes, and as result i need a PDF with the same sructure, but if someone check the checkbox, it must be saved in pdf. I have tryed to save the html content of the page on submit, and save it first in html file, but the problem is, my selections woundn't be saved. The result must have the same as i would print my form. I hope someone can help. PS: I using PHP and jQuery

  Im currently trying to work the imageSnapshot function in flex. Ive been looking hard but I cant seem to find a solution to my problem. I wish to take a screenshot of one of my components, to capture the final output of my program, since a plain "printscreen" cuts off some of the output due to it scrolling. My current code looks like - <mx:ApplicationControlBar dock="true"> <mx:Button label="Take snapshot of Profile" click="takeSnapshot();" /> </mx:ApplicationControlBar> Which when called does - private function takeSnapshot(even:Event=null):void { var imageSnap:ImageSnapshot = ImageSnapshot.captureImage(viewstack1); Now i think this is taking the image of the viewstack which I want... But Im stumped on what to do from here! Is it not possible to now just copy the image to the clipboard, or produce a new window in my browser with the entire image inside? If anyone has any other way to do this, suggestions would be wonderful. Thank you for your time.

  I am using authlogic to do my authentication. The current model that serves as the authentication model is the user model. I want to add a "belongs to" relationship to user which means that I need a foreign key in the user table. Say the foreign key is called car_id in the user's model. However, for some reason, when I do u = User.find(1) u.car_id = 1 u.save! I get ActiveRecord::RecordInvalid: Validation failed: Password can't be blank My guess is that this has something to do with authlogic. I do not have validation on password on the user's model.
