  • Using section header in Sendgrid

    - by Zefiryn
    I am trying to send emails through sendgrid in Zend application. I copy the php code from the sendgrid documentation (smtapi class and swift). I create a template with places that should be substituted with %variable%. Now I create headers for sendgrid as defined here: http://docs.sendgrid.com/documentation/api/smtp-api/developers-guide/ In result I get something looking like this: { "to": ["[email protected]", "[email protected]", "[email protected]", "[email protected]", "[email protected]"], "sub": {"%firstname%": ["Benny", "Chaim", "Ephraim", "Yehuda", "will"]}, "section": {"%postername%": "Rabbi Yitzchak Lieblich", "%postermail%": "[email protected]", "%categoryname%": "General", "%threadname%": "Completely new thread", "%post%": "This thread is to inform you about something very important", "%threadurl%": "http:\/\/hb.local\/forums\/general\/thread\/143", "%replyto%": "http:\/\/hb.local\/forums\/general\/thread\/143", "%unsubscribeurl%": "http:\/\/hb.local\/forums\/settings\/", "%subscribeurl%": "http:\/\/hb.local\/forums\/subscribe-thread\/id\/143\/token\/1b20eb7799829e22ba2d48ca0867d3ce"} } Now while all data defined in "sub" changes I cannot make section work. In the final email I still got %postername%. When I move this data to sub and repeat them for each email everything is working fine. Has anyone a clue what I am doing wrong? Docs for section are here: http://docs.sendgrid.com/documentation/api/smtp-api/developers-guide/section-tags/

  • Nested instances in C#

    - by user32848
    I'm trying to translate some C++ code for a neural net into C#. I first took the C++ code, from a 1993 book, and ran it. Then translated it using the STL and it ran again. Now I'm trying to get it into C# with Visual Web Developer 2008 Express. The original code used "friend" classes and I'm just trying to do the same making everything "public". The following code compiles but only gives null references when run: public class ineuron { public Double weight, activation; public ineuron(Double set_wt) { weight = set_wt; } ... public class netwrk { public oneuron onrn; public ineuron in1, in2, in3, in4; public netwrk( Double inp_1, Double inp_2, Double inp_3, Double inp_4 ) { ineuron in1 = new ineuron(inp_1); ineuron in2 = new ineuron(inp_2); ... and later, in some code called by a button push: netwrk ntw = new netwrk(i_n1, i_n2, i_n3, i_n4); Unfortunately, trying to use: ntw.in1.activation etc. leads to null reference runtime errors. What am I forgetting to do? Barney

  • Android -- How to position View off-screen?

    - by borg17of20
    Hello all, I'm trying to animate a simple ImageView in my application and I want it to slide in from the bottom of the screen and come to a resting position where the top 50px of the view is off the top of the screen (e.g. the final position of the ImageView should be -50px in X). I've tried to use the AbsoluteLayout to do this, but this actually cuts off the top 50px of the ImageView such that the top 50px is never rendered. I need to have the top 50px of the ImageView visible/rendered while it's animating and then simply have it come to a rest slightly off-screen. I hope I've explained that well enough. Here is what I'm currently using as a layout and the slide-in animation (this currently doesn't render the top 50px of the ImageView): Layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <AbsoluteLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:id="@+id/QuickPlayClipLayout"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/Clip" android:background="@drawable/clip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_y="-50dp"> </ImageView> </AbsoluteLayout> Animation: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <set xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <translate android:fromYDelta="100%p" android:toYDelta="0" android:duration="1000"/> <alpha android:fromAlpha="0.0" android:toAlpha="1.0" android:duration="1000" /> </set> Thanks in advance.

  • Any way to avoid creating a huge C# COM interface wrapper when only a few methods needed?

    - by Paul Accisano
    Greetings all, I’m working on a C# program that requires being able to get the index of the hot item in Windows 7 Explorer’s new ItemsView control. Fortunately, Microsoft has provided a way to do this through UI Automation, by querying custom properties of the control. Unfortunately, the System.Windows.Automation namespace inexplicably does not seem to provide a way to query custom properties! This leaves me with the undesirable position of having to completely ditch the C# Automation namespace and use only the unmanaged COM version. One way to do it would be to put all the Automation code in a separate C++/CLI module and call it from my C# application. However, I would like to avoid this option if possible, as it adds more files to my project, and I’d have to worry about 32/64-bit problems and such. The other option is to make use of the ComImport attribute to declare the relevant interfaces and do everything through COM-interop. This is what I would like to do. However, the relevant interfaces, such as IUIAutomation and IUIAutomationElement, are FREAKING HUGE. They have hundreds of methods in total, and reference tons and tons of interfaces (which I assume I would have to also declare), almost all of which I will never ever use. I don’t think the UI Automation interfaces are declared in any Type Library either, so I can’t use TLBIMP. Is there any way I can avoid having to manually translate a bajillion method signatures into C# and instead only declare the ten or so methods I actually need? I see that C# 4.0 added a new “dynamic” type that is supposed to ease COM interop; is that at all relevant to my problem? Thanks

  • 8 bit enum, in C

    - by oxinabox.ucc.asn.au
    I have to store instuctions, commands that I will be receiving via serial. The commands will be 8 bits long. I'd like to use Enumerations to deal with them in my code. Only a enumeration corresponds to a ... on this platform I think a 16 bit integer. I need to preserve transparancy between command name, and its value. So as to avoid having to translate an 8-bit number received in serial into any type. BTW the platform is AVR ATmega169V microcontroller, on the Butterfly demo board. It may be being underclocked to preserve power (I'm opposed to this, I believe the ATmega169V uses no power, not next to a router. But that's getting offtopic.) So I need to keep things fast, and I don't have any luxuries like file I/O. Or operating systems. So any suggestions as to what type I should be using to store 8-bit commands? There has got to be something better than a massive header of #defines.

  • Codeigniter image manipulation class rotates image during resize

    - by someoneinomaha
    I'm using Codeigniter's image manipulation library to re-size an uploaded image to three sizes, small, normal and large. The re-sizing is working great. However, if I'm resizing a vertical image, the library is rotating the image so it's horizontal. These are the config settings I have in place: $this->resize_config['image_library'] = 'gd2'; $this->resize_config['source_image'] = $this->file_data['full_path']; $this->resize_config['maintain_ratio'] = TRUE; // These change based on the type (small, normal, large) $this->resize_config['new_image'] = './uploads/large/'.$this->new_file_name.'.jpg'; $this->resize_config['width'] = 432; $this->resize_config['height'] = 288; I'm not setting the master_dim property because the default it set to auto, which is what I want. My assumption is that the library would take a vertical image, see that the height is greater than the width and translate the height/width config appropriately so the image remains vertical. What is happening (apparently) is that the library is rotating the image when it is vertical and sizing it per the configuration. This is the code in place I have to do the actual re-sizing: log_message('debug', 'attempting '.$size.' photo resize'); $this->CI->load->library('image_lib'); $this->CI->image_lib->initialize($this->resize_config); if ($this->CI->image_lib->resize()) { $return_value = TRUE; log_message('debug', $size.' photo resize successful'); } else { $this->errors[] = $this->CI->image_lib->display_errors(); log_message('debug', $size.' photo resize failed'); } $this->CI->image_lib->clear(); return $return_value;

  • UTF-8 character encoding battles json_encode()

    - by Dave Jarvis
    Quest I am looking to fetch rows that have accented characters. The encoding for the column (NAME) is latin1_swedish_ci. The Code The following query returns Abord â Plouffe using phpMyAdmin: SELECT C.NAME FROM CITY C WHERE C.REGION_ID=10 AND C.NAME_LOWERCASE LIKE '%abor%' ORDER BY C.NAME LIMIT 30 The following displays expected values (function is called db_fetch_all( $result )): while( $row = mysql_fetch_assoc( $result ) ) { foreach( $row as $value ) { echo $value . " "; $value = utf8_encode( $value ); echo $value . " "; } $r[] = $row; } The displayed values: 5482 5482 Abord â Plouffe Abord â Plouffe The array is then encoded using json_encode: $rows = db_fetch_all( $result ); echo json_encode( $rows ); Problem The web browser receives the following value: {"ID":"5482","NAME":null} Instead of: {"ID":"5482","NAME":"Abord â Plouffe"} (Or the encoded equivalent.) Question The documentation states that json_encode() works on UTF-8. I can see the values being encoded from LATIN1 to UTF-8. After the call to json_encode(), however, the value becomes null. How do I make json_encode() encode the UTF-8 values properly? One possible solution is to use the Zend Framework, but I'd rather not if it can be avoided.

  • Java how can I add an accented "e" to a string?

    - by behrk2
    Hello, With the help of tucuxi from the existing post Java remove HTML from String without regular expressions I have built a method that will parse out any basic HTML tags from a string. Sometimes, however, the original string contains html hexadecimal characters like é (which is an accented e). I have started to add functionality which will translate these escaped characters into real characters. You're probably asking: Why not use regular expressions? Or a third party library? Unfortunately I cannot, as I am developing on a BlackBerry platform which does not support regular expressions and I have never been able to successfully add a third party library to my project. So, I have gotten to the point where any é is replaced with "e". My question now is, how do I add an actual 'accented e' to a string? Here is my code: public static String removeHTML(String synopsis) { char[] cs = synopsis.toCharArray(); String sb = new String(); boolean tag = false; for (int i = 0; i < cs.length; i++) { switch (cs[i]) { case '<': if (!tag) { tag = true; break; } case '>': if (tag) { tag = false; break; } case '&': char[] copyTo = new char[7]; System.arraycopy(cs, i, copyTo, 0, 7); String result = new String(copyTo); if (result.equals("&#x00E9")) { sb += "e"; } i += 7; break; default: if (!tag) sb += cs[i]; } } return sb.toString(); } Thanks!

  • help in the Donalds B. Johnson's algorithm, i cannot understand the pseudo code

    - by Pitelk
    Hi , does anyone know the Donald B. Johnson's algorithm which enumarates all the elementary circuits (cycles) in a Directed graph? link text I have the paper he had published in 1975 but I cannot understand the pseudo-code. My goal is to implement this algorithm in java. Some questions i have is for example what is the matrix Ak it refers to. In the pseudo code mentions that Ak:=adjacency structure of strong component K with least vertex in subgraph of G induced by {s,s+1,....n}; Does that mean i have to implement another algorithm that finds the Ak matrix? Another question is what the following means? begin logical f; Does also the line "logical procedure CIRCUIT (integer value v);" means that the circuit procedure returns a logical variable. In the pseudo code also has the line "CIRCUIT := f;" . Does this mean? It would be great if someone could translate this 1970's pseudocode to a more modern type of pseudo code so i can understand it in case you are interested to help but you cannot find the paper please email me at [email protected] and i will send you the paper. Thanks in advance

  • codeigniter and OOP general question regarding calling functions, and the parent constuctor

    - by thrice801
    Ok so I have some gaps in my understanding of PHP OOP, classes and functions specifically, this whole constructor class deal. I use both Zend and CI but right now Im trying to figure this out in CI as it is less complicated. So all Im trying to do is understand how to call a function from a view page in code igniter. I understand that might go against MVC but Im working with an api and search results not from my database, so basically, I want to define a function in my class that I am able to call in one of my view pages.. and I keep getting "Fatal error: Call to undefined function functionname" error no matter what I try. I thought I just had to declare public function testing() { echo "testing testing 123; } but calling that from the view I get that error. Then I read something about having to go parent::Controller(); in the index of the class where the testing function also resides? But that didnt work either. Anyways, ya, can someone explain what I need to do in order to call the "testing()" function on one of my view pages? and clarification on the constructor class and what exactly parent::Controller() even does, would be much appreciated as well.

  • PHP - Plus sign with GET query

    - by Nate Shoffner
    I have a PHP script that does basic encryption of a string through the method below: <?php $key = 'secretkey'; $string = $_GET['str']; if ($_GET['method'] == "decrypt") { $output = rtrim(mcrypt_decrypt(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, md5($key), base64_decode($string), MCRYPT_MODE_CBC, md5(md5($key))), "\0"); } if ($_GET['method'] == "encrypt") { $output= base64_encode(mcrypt_encrypt(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, md5($key), $string, MCRYPT_MODE_CBC, md5(md5($key)))); } echo $output; ?> An example of a URL to encrypt a string would look like this: Encrypt.php?method=encrypt&str=the quick fox Which would return this as the encrypted string: LCuT/ieVa6cl3/4VtzE+jd9QPT3kvHYYJFqG6tY3P0Q= Now to decrypt the string all you have to do is change the "method" query to "decrypt", like so: Encrypt.php?method=decrypt&str=LCuT/ieVa6cl3/4VtzE+jd9QPT3kvHYYJFqG6tY3P0Q= The only problem is that when that encrypted string is decrypted it returns this: ¬ƒ§rYV}̳5Äš·nßì(ñïX8Þ;b I have narrowed down the problem to the plus sign that is in the encrypted string. PHP's GET method seems to translate a plus sign into a blank space. I have searched this bug and found out that it has already been filed here. I have tried different methods listed on that page and others with no success. The closest I got is by using this: $fixedstring = str_replace(" ", "+", $string); and then using $fixedstring in the encryption methods, the problem is, upon decryption, all blank spaces are converted to plus signs. Any ideas?

  • Sentiment analysis for twitter in python

    - by Ran
    I'm looking for an open source implementation, preferably in python, of Textual Sentiment Analysis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentiment_analysis). Is anyone familiar with such open source implementation I can use? I'm writing an application that searches twitter for some search term, say "youtube", and counts "happy" tweets vs. "sad" tweets. I'm using Google's appengine, so it's in python. I'd like to be able to classify the returned search results from twitter and I'd like to do that in python. I haven't been able to find such sentiment analyzer so far, specifically not in python. Are you familiar with such open source implementation I can use? Preferably this is already in python, but if not, hopefully I can translate it to python. Note, the texts I'm analyzing are VERY short, they are tweets. So ideally, this classifier is optimized for such short texts. BTW, twitter does support the ":)" and ":(" operators in search, which aim to do just this, but unfortunately, the classification provided by them isn't that great, so I figured I might give this a try myself. Thanks! BTW, an early demo is here and the code I have so far is here and I'd love to opensource it with any interested developer.

  • Land of Lisp example question

    - by cwallenpoole
    I've read a lot of good things about Land of Lisp so I thought that I might go through it to see what there was to see. (defun tweak-text (lst caps lit) (when lst (let ((item (car lst)) (rest (cdr lst))) (cond ; If item = space, then call recursively starting with ret ; Then, prepend the space on to the result. ((eq item #\space) (cons item (tweak-text rest caps lit))) ; if the item is an exclamation point. Make sure that the ; next non-space is capitalized. ((member item '(#\! #\? #\.)) (cons item (tweak-text rest t lit))) ; if item = " then toggle whether we are in literal mode ((eq item #\") (tweak-text rest caps (not lit))) ; if literal mode, just add the item as is and continue (lit (cons item (tweak-text rest nil lit))) ; if either caps or literal mode = true capitalize it? ((or caps lit) (cons (char-upcase item) (tweak-text rest nil lit))) ; otherwise lower-case it. (t (cons (char-downcase item) (tweak-text rest nil nil))))))) (the comments are mine) (FYI -- the method signature is (list-of-symbols bool-whether-to-caps bool-whether-to-treat-literally) but the author shortened these to (lst caps lit).) But anyway, here's the question: This has (cond... (lit ...) ((or caps lit) ...)) in it. My understanding is that this would translate to if(lit){ ... } else if(caps || lit){...} in a C style syntax. Isn't the or statement redundant then? Is there ever a condition where the (or caps lit) condition will be called if caps is nil?

  • Python: fetching SVG file using urllib is returning binary when I need ASCII

    - by Drew Dara-Abrams
    I'm using urllib (in Python) to fetch an SVG file: import urllib urllib.urlopen('http://alpha.vectors.cloudmade.com/BC9A493B41014CAABB98F0471D759707/-122.2487,37.87588,-122.265823,37.868054?styleid=1&viewport=400x231').read() which produces output of the sort: xb6\xf6\x00\xb3\xfb2\xff\xda\xc5\xf2\xc2\x14\xef\xcd\x82\x0b\xdbU\xb0\x81\xcaF\xd8\x1a\xf6\xdf[i)\xba\xcf\x80\xab\xd6\x8c\xe3l_\xe7\n\xed2,\xbdm\xa0_|\xbb\x12\xff\xb6\xf8\xda\xd9\xc3\xd9\t\xde\x9a\xf8\xae\xb3T\xa3\r`\x8a\x08!T\xfb8\x92\x95\x0c\xdd\x8b!\x02P\xea@\x98\x1c^\xc7\xda\\\xec\xe3\xe1\xbe,0\xcd\xbeZ~\x92\xb3\xfa\xdd\xfcbyu\xb8\x83\xbb\xbdS\x0f\x82\x0b\xfe\xf5_\xdawn\xff\xef_\xff\xe5\xfa\x1f?\xbf\xffoZ\x0f\x8b\xbfV\xf4\x04\x00' when I was expecting more like this: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:cm="http://cloudmade.com/" width="400" height="231"> <rect width="100%" height="100%" fill="#eae8dd" opacity="1"/> <g transform="scale(0.209849975856)"> <g transform="translate(13610569, 4561906)" flood-opacity="0.1" flood-color="grey"> <path d="M -13610027.720000000670552 -4562403.660000000149012 I guess this is an issue of binary vs. ASCII. Can anyone help me (a Python newbie) with the appropriate conversion so that I can get on with parsing and manipulating the SVG code?

  • Canvas rotate from bottom center image angle?

    - by Tom
    How do you rotate an image with the canvas html5 element from the bottom center angle? See http://uptowar.com/test.php for my current code and image: <html> <head> <title>test</title> <script type="text/javascript"> function startup() { var canvas = document.getElementById('canvas'); var ctx = canvas.getContext('2d'); var img = new Image(); img.src = 'player.gif'; img.onload = function() { ctx.translate(185, 185); ctx.rotate(90 * Math.PI / 180); ctx.drawImage(img, 0, 0, 64, 120); } } </script> </head> <body onload='startup();'> <canvas id="canvas" style="position: absolute; left: 300px; top: 300px;" width="800" height="800"></canvas> </body> </html> Unfortunately this seems to rotate it from the top left angle of the image. Any idea? Edit: in the end the object (space ship) has to rotate like a clock pointer, as if it is turning right/left.

  • Front End Developer v/s PHP-MySQL Engineer

    - by user301943
    Hello, I want to decide which of this would be a more viable career option? I am ready to quit my current job and hence I am looking for new opportunity. Current job is maintainence and no more active development. My current role is of a PHP/MySQL Developer. I very well understand web-programming and am comfortable with RoR/Sinatra/Zend MVC/JQuery/JSON manipulation, etc. I understand MySQL InnoDB/MyISAM engine and how one differs from the other, etc. Basically, I could very well manage the deployment of a web-application end-to-end including configuration of Apache/Nginx servers, memcache,etc On the other hand, I am being offered a Sr.Front End Web developer that would require me to extensively write HTML/CSS crossbrowser/crossplatform compliant code. I very well understand XHTML/CSS/Box model etc. I would be working on Drupal for the management of websites. While I understand continuing to work on server-side technologies would always be a good career path, how would the role of Core front-end developer turn out to be? If I take this opportunity, will I eventually get a chance to focus onto UCD, HCI, Information Architect,etc. So are these kinda roles possible if I focus on front end development? No offenses to the Front end developers, just want to understand if this is something I want to gain a mastery over. I have 2 yrs of industry experience after graduating with a MS-Computer Science. Although, I have a CS degree, if I were to take uip serious front-end role; I could probably go back and take up some design/HCI/UI courses. Please advise.

  • Always can't separate these guys: ascending and descending! Are there good examples?

    - by mystify
    As a non-english dude, I have trouble differentiating this. When I try to translate this into my language, I get something weird like "go up" for ascending. So lets say I want to sort the names of all my pets alphabetically. I want that A comes first, then B, then C... and so on. So since the alphabet is not a number for me, my brain refuses to grok what's "going up". A = 0? B = 1? C = 2? If yes, then ascending would be what I'm most of the time looking for. Table would start showing A, then B, then C... Or is that the other way around? Must I look from the bottom of the table, up? And with numbers: If it's an ascending order, the smallest comes first? (would seem logical...) Can someone post a short but good example for what is an ascending sort order, and what is an descending sort order? And does that apply to whatever platform, programming language, API, etc.?

  • Using multiple QStyledItemDelegate with stylesheets

    - by Shane Holloway
    I'm creating a styled QTreeView using double-dispatch to resolve specific delegate for data items, which is working great. I subclassed the delegates from QStyledItemDelegate to take advantage of stylesheets, enabling the designers to style the UI outside of the code. Unfortunately, I have been unable to address different styles from the CSS. How do I select and use the item sub-control style specified in the stylesheet? The CSS I'm testing with: QTreeView::item:selected { background: qlineargradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 0, y2: 1, stop: 0 #dddddd, stop: 1 #888888); } QTreeView::item:selected[role="title"] { background: qlineargradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 0, y2: 1, stop: 0 #fde7ef, stop: 1 #f1cbda); } QTreeView::item:selected[role="entry"] { background: qlineargradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 0, y2: 1, stop: 0 #e7effd, stop: 1 #cbdaf1); } My delegate rendering classes: class VisitingDelegate(QtGui.QAbstractItemDelegate): def __init__(self, parent=None): super(VisitingDelegate,self).__init__(parent) roles = {} self.renderRoles = roles d = TitleDelegate(parent) d.setProperty("role", "title") roles['title'] = d d = EntryDelegate(parent) d.setProperty("role", "entry") roles['entry'] = d def delegateForIndex(self, mi): role = mi.model().data(mi, "renderRole") return self.renderRoles[role] def paint(self, painter, option, mi): dg = self.delegateForIndex(mi) return dg.paint(painter, option, mi) def sizeHint(self, option, mi): dg = self.delegateForIndex(mi) return dg.sizeHint(option, mi) class TextDocumentDelegate(QtGui.QStyledItemDelegate): fmt = "<font color='%(color)s'>%(text)s</font)>" def paint(self, painter, option, mi): painter.save() opt = QtGui.QStyleOptionViewItemV4(option) self.initStyleOption(opt, mi) opt.text = '' style = opt.widget.style() style.drawControl(style.CE_ItemViewItem, opt, painter, opt.widget) textRect = style.subElementRect(style.SE_ItemViewItemText, opt, opt.widget); doc = self.asTextDoc(option, mi) painter.translate(textRect.topLeft()) doc.drawContents(painter) painter.restore() def sizeHint(self, option, mi): doc = self.asTextDoc(option, mi) sz = doc.size() sz = QtCore.QSize(sz.width(), sz.height()) return sz def asTextDoc(self, option, mi): info = {} info['text'] = mi.model().data(mi, Qt.DisplayRole) doc = QtGui.QTextDocument() doc.setDefaultFont(option.font) pal = option.palette if option.state & QtGui.QStyle.State_Selected: color = pal.color(pal.HighlightedText) else: color = pal.color(pal.Text) info['color'] = color.name() doc.setHtml(self.fmt % info) return doc class EntryDelegate(TextDocumentDelegate): pass class TitleDelegate(TextDocumentDelegate): fmt = "<h3><font color='%(color)s'>%(text)s</font)></h3>"

  • C# Find and Replace RegEx with wildcard search and addition of value

    - by fraXis
    Hello, The below code is from my other questions that I have asked here on SO. Everyone has been so helpful and I almost have a grasp with regards to RegEx but I ran into another hurdle. This is what I basically need to do in a nutshell. I need to take this line that is in a text file that I load into my content variable: X17.8Y-1.Z0.1G0H1E1 I need to do a wildcard search for the X value, Y value, Z value, and H value. When I am done, I need this written back to my text file (I know how to create the text file so that is not the problem). X17.8Y-1.G54G0T2 G43Z0.1H1M08 I have code that the kind users here have given me, except I need to create the T value at the end of the first line, and use the value from the H and increment it by 1 for the T value. For example: X17.8Y-1.Z0.1G0H5E1 would translate as: X17.8Y-1.G54G0T6 G43Z0.1H5M08 The T value is 6 because the H value is 5. I have code that does everything (does two RegEx functions and separates the line of code into two new lines and adds some new G values). But I don't know how to add the T value back into the first line and increment it by 1 of the H value. Here is my code: StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(fDialog.FileName.ToString()); string content = reader.ReadToEnd(); reader.Close(); content = Regex.Replace(content, @"X[-\d.]+Y[-\d.]+", "$0G54G0"); content = Regex.Replace(content, @"(Z(?:\d*\.)?\d+)[^H]*G0(H(?:\d*\.)?\d+)\w*", "\nG43$1$2M08"); //This must be created on a new line This code works great at taking: X17.8Y-1.Z0.1G0H5E1 and turning it into: X17.8Y-1.G54G0 G43Z0.1H5M08 but I need it turned into this: X17.8Y-1.G54G0T6 G43Z0.1H5M08 (notice the T value is added to the first line, which is the H value +1 (T = H + 1). Can someone please modify my RegEx statement so I can do this automatically? I tried to combine my two RegEx statements into one line but I failed miserably. Thanks so much, Shawn

  • Internal and External Bug-Tracking Setup

    - by devdude
    Most of you certainly use some kind of bugtracker. Maybe internally only, once a customer files a bug via email or phone you add a new ticket by yourself. Sometimes weekly project meetings can be great source of new tickets coming preferably in flavors of excel sheets that the PM on the other side of the table loves to maintain and chase after you. The more advanced (and transparent) version: Allow the customer to file (and see the progress of) his bugs directly into you bugtracker. Systems like JIRA allow you to use profiles to have certain access rights, etc. But now the question: The bug raised by a user not necessary translates into 1 bug in a specific module/method/EJB/class. The version of the (your) web application he uses does not translate into the version of the class that is causing the error. How you maintain the internal part of the ticket with all the nasty techy details and the same time the make-the-user-feel-good ticket (need more info, accepted, in progress,..) ? Creating 2 tickets for internal and external ? Link them ? Any smart recipes to share ?

  • Resizing image algorithm in python

    - by hippocampus
    So, I'm learning my self python by this tutorial and I'm stuck with exercise number 13 which says: Write a function to uniformly shrink or enlarge an image. Your function should take an image along with a scaling factor. To shrink the image the scale factor should be between 0 and 1 to enlarge the image the scaling factor should be greater than 1. This is not meant as a question about PIL, but to ask which algorithm to use so I can code it myself. I've found some similar questions like this, but I dunno how to translate this into python. Any help would be appreciated. I've come to this: import image win = image.ImageWin() img = image.Image("cy.png") factor = 2 W = img.getWidth() H = img.getHeight() newW = int(W*factor) newH = int(H*factor) newImage = image.EmptyImage(newW, newH) for col in range(newW): for row in range(newH): p = img.getPixel(col,row) newImage.setPixel(col*factor,row*factor,p) newImage.draw(win) win.exitonclick() I should do this in a function, but this doesn't matter right now. Arguments for function would be (image, factor). You can try it on OP tutorial in ActiveCode. It makes a stretched image with empty columns :.

  • Alternatives to decompiling MS Access MDE files

    - by booyaa
    I've been tasked with finding a suitable tool to decompile MDE files. The MDEs were created by staff who have since left (familar story eh?) and we do not have access to the originally MDB files. The reason we need access to the original code is that the data source is changing (the backend as well as some of the table and queries) and we need a way to update queries. An example of a change, in a SELECT statement where is the WHERE clause looks for zero as a string ("0") rather than an integer. I'm aware that unless you use the services of people like EverythingAccess.com its unlikely you will ever get the source code back. My main query is to ask for alternative methods to decompiling code. An example of the kinds of methods I'm thinking about is to spy on the traffic between the app the the ODBC DSN using tcpdump. I might then be able to write code to translate the data source queries between the old and new systems. Ideally I'd prefer a solution that is application centric rather than one that analyses all network traffic. I should add one caveat, no doubt most of you are thinking the best solution is to rewrite the code, based on its perceived functionality. This is the option we're not considering (at the moment).

  • Send HTTP 404 from Application_Error

    - by Dmitriy Nagirnyak
    Hi, First of all, quickly what exactly I want to achieve: translate particular exception into the HTTP 404 so the ASP.NET can handle it further. I am handling exceptions in the ASP.NET (MVC2) this way: protected void Application_Error(object sender, EventArgs e) { var err = Server.GetLastError(); if (err == null) return; err = err.GetBaseException(); var noObject = err as ObjectNotFoundException; if (noObject != null) HandleObjectNotFound(); var handled = noObject != null; if (!handled) Logger.Fatal("Unhandled exception has occured in application.", err); } private void HandleObjectNotFound() { Server.ClearError(); Response.Clear(); // new HttpExcepton(404, "Not Found"); // Throw or not to throw? Response.StatusCode = 404; Response.StatusDescription = "Not Found"; Response.StatusDescription = "Not Found"; Response.Write("The whole HTML body explaining whata 404 is??"); } The problem is that I cannot configure default customErrors to work with it. When it is on then it never redirects to the page specified in customErrors: <error statusCode="404" redirect="404.html"/>. I also tried to raise new HttpExcepton(404, "Not Found") from the handler but then the response code is 200 which I don't understand why. So the questions are: What is the proper way of translating AnException into HTTP 404 response? How does customErrors section work when handling exceptions in Application_Error? Why throwing HttpException(404) renders (blank) page with success (200) status? Thanks, Dmitriy.

  • Best Practice, objects design ASP.NET MVC

    - by DoomStone
    Hello Stackoverflow I have a code design question that have been torbeling me for a while, you see I’m doing a refactoring of my website Cosplay Denmark, a site where cospalyers can upload images of them self in their costumes. The original site was done in php, Zend MVC, but my refactoring is being done in ASP.NET MVC 2. If you take the site http://www.cosplaydanmark.dk/Costumes/ (You can switch to English in the left column (Sprog)) Here you see a list of all the anime’s we have on the site with images, we show the name, how many different characters and how many images there are under this anime. http://www.cosplaydanmark.dk/Costumes/Bleach If you click on an anime will you get a list of characters within the given anime which we have images in, here do we show the character name, how many galleries and how many images. http://www.cosplaydanmark.dk/Costumes/Bleach/Ichigo_Kurosaki/ If you click on the character name, will you get a list of the galleries under the given character in the given anime. Here we have some information about the gallery, such as image count. http://www.cosplaydanmark.dk/Costumes/Bleach/Ichigo_Kurosaki/Admi/ Should you click the gallery do you get a list of the images in the gallery. My database look like this at the moment. As you can might imagine there are a lot of different query’s to create the site, on the first site I need to do a select on the on the “animes” table and for each result, I need to do a count select on characters and galleries. My plan to create this will be one of the following Where the IList, would be a lazy load list. But I can’t decide what would be the best solution for this would be, also if there is a better way of doing this. My priority is to have good performance with a minimum lose of features and code upkeep. I’m using a service pattern with a linq to sql repository. My design is not absolute, I’m willing to change it if it could increase performance :D I hope that I have describe my question good enough for you to understand what I mean, but ask away if there are anything I have missed.

  • dojo.io.iframe erroring when uploading a file

    - by Grant Collins
    Hi, Hit an interesting problem today when trying to upload an image file < 2MB using dojo.io.iframe. My function to process the form is called, but before the form is posted to the server I am getting the following error: TypeError: ifd.getElementsByTagName("textarea")[0] is undefined My function that is used to action the post of the form is : function uploadnewlogo(){ var logoDiv = dojo.byId('userlogo'); var logoMsg = dojo.byId('uploadmesg'); //prep the io frame to send logo data. dojo.io.iframe.send({ url: "/users/profile/changelogo/", method: "post", handleAs: "text", form: dojo.byId('logoUploadFrm'), handle: function(data,ioArgs){ var response = dojo.fromJson(data); if(response.status == 'success'){ //first clear the image //dojo.style(logoDiv, "display", "none"); logoDiv.innerHTML = ""; //then we update the image logoDiv.innerHTML = response.image; }else if(response.status == 'error'){ logoMsg.innerHTML = data.mesg; }else{ logoMsg.innerHTML = '<div class="error">Whoops! We can not process your image.</div>'; } }, error: function(data, ioArgs){ logoMsg.innerHTML = '<div class="error">' + data + '</div>'; } }); } The form is very basic with just a File input component and a simple button that calls this bit of javascript and dojo. I've got very similar code in my application that uploads word/pdf documents and that doesn't error, but for some reason this does. Any ideas or pointers on what I should try to get this to work without errors? Oh I'm using php and Zend framework for the backend if that has anything to do with it, but I doubt it as it's not even hitting the server before it fails. Many thanks, Grant
