  • Winform .Net 3.5 - Get path of ApplicationFolder for Office Add-In

    Greetings - I am writing an add-in for Expression Web 3 in VS2008 The solution has a Windows Installer setup project in which the ApplicationFolder is tagged to hold some ancillary files. I need to be able to access those files during the add-in's startup, but naturally the Application object as well as the AppDomain reference paths to Expression Web not to the Add-In. There is a tickle in the back of my head that the solution involves reflection but thats as far as I can get... has anyone dealt with this or have any suggestions? Thanks!

I've try my effort to change it and test on it,and find out when I set the var compSpec = document.compChooser as a local variable inside the function instead of a global variable,the next statement could be executed. But I thought for a global variable,it is accessible in everywhere on the page and also inside a function.But why now I can't accesses it inside my function??Any idea?? Besides,I stumble upon a weird article while googling,it says that when a global variable is created,it is added to window object.I just curious why this happen??And what's the benefits and uses of it??   • App.config path not correctly interpreted by ASP.NET Application

    Hello everyone ! I'm working on a very old project (2000) in VB6 which was "modernized" and upgraded to VB.NET 3.5. I've centralized every old INI configuration file into one MainApp.config, which is referenced by the app.config of every component. There's an VB ASP.NET website in the solution, which uses DLL components, which are looking into app.config for parameters like, say, error log directory, etc. I've deployed the site on my dev. server (Windows 2008 Server w/ IIS 7.0) into the D:\WebSite\ directory. Problem: When running the site, an error occurs. A DLL is looking into app.config for the parameter RepertoireErreur which has the value .\Erreurs\ Instead of returning D:\WebSite\Erreurs\ it returns c:\windows\system32\inetsrv\.\Erreurs\ which doesn't contain the Erreurs directory. Boom. Error. Does anyone have ever encountered the same problem ? Is there a solution ? Thanks,

    I have an application with the FrontEnd separated into one Project file and the Codebehind/classes separated into a completely different class library. What I need is a way to, from the UserControl Type, obtain it's VirtualPath. Typically, we would have this in code Board uc = (Board)Page.LoadControl(@"~\Board.ascx"); But I want is something like this Board uc = (Board)Page.LoadControl(Board.VirtualPath); OR Board uc = Page.LoadControl(Board); Anyone have an idea how I can accomplish this?     I'm writing a small ajax class for personal use. In the class, I have a "post" method for sending post requests. The post method has a callback parameter. In the onreadystatechange propperty, I need to call the callback method. Something like this: this.requestObject.onreadystatechange = function() { callback(this.responseText); } However, I can't access the callback variable from within the anonomous function. How can I bring the callback variable into the scope of the onreadystatechange anonomous function?

    Hello, when I have the fallowing code to read a binary file: NSString* file = [NSString stringWithUTF8String:fileName]; NSString* filePath = resource ? [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:file ofType:nil] : [[NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDocumentDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES) objectAtIndex:0] stringByAppendingPathComponent: file]; NSData* fileData = [NSData dataWithContentsOfFile:filePath]; Where "fileName" and resource are load function parameters. "resource" is used to know if the file is located in application bundle or in Documents. Sometimes this code works well and sometimes it doesn't. As far I saw this problem is random. I can run the code 10 times in a row and it works fine and after that it gives me nil data without any modification. Does anybody knows what could be the problem? Could it be related with file extension or file name? Thank you. PS: I use this code on iPhone Simulator and the file exists in application bundle.

    How to animate a vector path like it's being drawn by hand? In other words, slowly show the path pixel by pixel. I'm using Raphaël.js, but if your answer is not library specific—like maybe there's some general programming pattern for doing that kind of thing (I'm fairly new to vector animation)—it's welcome! Update I know it's easy to do with straight paths, as easy as an example on that page:: path("M114 253").animate({path: "M114 253 L 234 253"}); But try to change code on that page, say, this way:: path("M114 26").animate({path: "M114 26 C 24 23 234 253 234 253"}); And you'll see what I mean. Path is certainly animated from it initial state (point "M114 26") to the end state (curve "C 24 23 234 253 234 253" starting on point "M114 26"), but not in a way specified in question, not like it's being drawn. (Sorry for not making clear from the start that I don't mean animating straight lines.) I don't see how animateAlong can do that either. It can animate an object along a path, and how can I make this path to gradually show itself while object is being animated along it?

For example /news?c=123 For some reason, it works only on the website root www.example.com?c=123 but it does not work if the url contains any more information www.example.com/news?c=123.   • My IF statement is changing variables in PHP

    I am fairly new to the whole programming thing, so forgive me if this is a stupid question. It seems odd that I haven't run into it before. I am trying to make an order form for a cake. You fill out the form, submit it, and it will then display the order in a new window, where you then hit "submit," and upload it to the Database. I have a series of If Statements to check for errors in the form before submitting it. Here is a simplified version of the code. Writing means any writing you want on the cake, Name is your name, and cake is what type of cake you want (the default is "None"). try { $name = trim($params->name); $cake = trim($params->cake); $writing = trim($params->writing); if (strlen($name) < 3){ throw new Exception("Please enter Your name."); } if ($cake = "None") { throw new Exception("Please select a Cake" } if ($cake = "Caramel Apple Pie" or $cake = "Pumpkin Pie" or $cake = "Eggnog Pie" and strlen($writing) > 1) { throw new Exception("We are sorry, but you can't write on any of our specialty pies."); } } catch(Exception $x) { $error = $x->getmessage(); } So what is happening is that when I go and hit submit the first time, the correct cake type comes up, but when you submit it the second time, the error comes up saying that I have "None" selected. All the other values are there and remain the same. I think the problem is that the first "IF" statement (Where it says "If($cake = "None")) is automatically changing $cake to "None" because I have tried commenting just that statement out, and it will then change the cake to be "Caramel Apple Pie," which is in the top of the next IF statement. Anyone know why it is doing this? And how to fix it?

  • PHP Changing Class Variables Outside of Class

    Apologies for the wording on this question, I'm having difficulties explaining what I'm after, but hopefully it makes sense. Let's say I have a class, and I wish to pass a variable through one of it's methods, then I have another method which outputs this variable. That's all fine, but what I'm after is that if I update the variable which was originally passed, and do this outside the class methods, it should be reflected in the class. I've created a very basic example: class Test { private $var = ''; function setVar($input) { $this->var = $input; } function getVar() { echo 'Var = ' . $this->var . '<br />'; } } If I run $test = new Test(); $string = 'Howdy'; $test->setVar($string); $test->getVar(); I get Var = Howdy However, this is the flow I would like: $test = new Test(); $test->setVar($string); $string = 'Hello'; $test->getVar(); $string = 'Goodbye'; $test->getVar(); Expected output to be Var = Hello Var = Goodbye I don't know what the correct naming of this would be, and I've tried using references to the original variable but no luck.     In one SQL Task can I create a table variable DELCARE @TableVar TABLE (...) Then in another SQL Task or DataSource destination and select or insert into the table variable? The other option I have considered is using a Temp Table. CREATE TABLE #TempTable (...) I would prefer to use Table Variable so that it remains in memory. But can use temp table if it is not possible to use table variable. Also I cannot use the record set destination as I need to preform straight SQL tasks on it later on.

This works both in our development and production environments. background-image: url(/images/bg.png); For performance reasons (cookie-less domain), we'd like to switch this: background-image: url(http://staticimagedomain.com/images/bg.png); Ideally, we don't hard code those, so our development environments can still pull locally. Any thoughts on how to best achieve this?
