  I need an MySQL Skript which does the following: delete chunks of the database until it has deleted all link_id's greater then 10000 exmaple: x = 10000 DELETE FROM pligg_links WHERE link_id > x and link_id < x+10000 x = x + 10000 ... So it would delete DELETE FROM pligg_links WHERE link_id > 10000 and link_id < 20000 then DELETE FROM pligg_links WHERE link_id > 20000 and link_id < 30000 until all id's less then 10000 have been removed I need this because the database is very very big (more then a gig) thank in advance

• Efficient persistent storage for simple id to table of values map for java

  I need to store some data that follows the simple pattern of mapping an "id" to a full table (with multiple rows) of several columns (i.e. some integer values [u, v, w]). The size of one of these tables would be a couple of KB. Basically what I need is to store a persistent cache of some intermediary results. This could quite easily be implemented as simple sql, but there's a couple of problems, namely I need to compress the size of this structure on disk as much as possible. (because of amount of values I'm storing) Also, it's not transactional, I just need to write once and simply read the contents of the entire table, so a relational DB isn't actually a very good fit. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions? For some reason I can't seem to come up with something decent atm. Especially something with an API in java would be nice.

• Re-Add tabBarController's view into window and the device is in landscape mode

  Hello, I have an app that is a tabBarController based app. I have 4 tabs on it and one of these is for logging in/out in my app. The main ideea is that when I logout, I release the tabBarController (this will release the all 4 view controllers too - I have done this becuse I want to refersh all the views after logging out to look just like the first time).After this, I alloc it again and add the view controllers aagin,set the tabBarItem's titles,etc.This work ok. The problem is when I am in landscape mode;my logout view is painted to fit the landscape area,but after disconnect(now I releasse and alloc again the tabbarController) the view is painted in portrait mode but my device is in lanscape. • Right way to return proxy model instance from a base model instance in Django ?

  Say I have models: class Animal(models.Model): type = models.CharField(max_length=255) class Dog(Animal): def make_sound(self): print "Woof!" class Meta: proxy = True class Cat(Animal): def make_sound(self): print "Meow!" class Meta: proxy = True Let's say I want to do: animals = Animal.objects.all() for animal in animals: animal.make_sound() I want to get back a series of Woofs and Meows. Clearly, I could just define a make_sound in the original model that forks based on animal_type, but then every time I add a new animal type (imagine they're in different apps), I'd have to go in and edit that make_sound function. I'd rather just define proxy models and have them define the behavior themselves. From what I can tell, there's no way of returning mixed Cat or Dog instances, but I figured maybe I could define a "get_proxy_model" method on the main class that returns a cat or a dog model. Surely you could do this, and pass something like the primary key and then just do Cat.objects.get(pk = passed_in_primary_key). But that'd mean doing an extra query for data you already have which seems redundant. Is there any way to turn an animal into a cat or a dog instance in an efficient way? What's the right way to do what I want to achieve?

• Storing unique ID in UITableViewCell

  I have a table where there will often be two cells with the same title. I'm zooming in on a map whenever a cell in the table is clicked, so using the title as a unique identifier is out of the question. I already have a unique identifier, but I need to find a way to store it in a UITableViewCell object. I have been considering two options, both of which are poor, IMO. 1) store the unique ID as the text inside the text of the detailTextLabel property. 2) build a custom UITableViewCell class. I'm new to objective C, and I would essentially like to know if theres a third option that isnt as inefficient as #1, but not as involved as #2. Thanks

• How to get the "#" symbol in the :id into the redirect_to method in Rails

  Hello, this is a silly questions but I don't understand, why rails isn't evaluating my string as expected. Here is my problem: I want to redirect to an url in the form ~/:controller/index/#_76 redirect_to :action => "index", :id => '#_76' But I'm getting the url in the form: ~/:controller/index/%25_76 and so my anchor for linking to a certain place in the website isn't working. Can someone please explain me, why rails makes this rendering? I think this hase something to do with url encoding. Again thanks for your help, I'm learning every day a little bit more about rails :).

It seems that Ruby handles constant-lookup in *_eval blocks the same way it does method-lookup: look for a definition in receiver.singleton_class (plus mixins); then in receiver.singleton_class.superclass (plus mixins); then continue up the eigenchain until you get to #<Class:BasicObject>; whose superclass is Class; and then up the rest of the ancestor chain (including Object, which stores all the constants you define at the top-level), checking for mixins along the way Is this correct? The Pickaxe discussion is a bit terse. • Drupal - Getting node id from view to customise link in block

  I got a little problem with Drupal (again) in that I'm trying to work out how I can build a block which is able to show the node ID of the view page the block is currently sitting on. I'm using views to build a large chunk of my site, but I need to be able to make "intelligent" blocks in PHP mode which will have dynamic content depending on what the view is displaying. So.. how can I go about finding the $nid which a view is currently displaying?! Any ideas?

  I am fairly new at programming in Objective-C, having been a windows programmer since I was a kid. I am falling in LOVE with it. I am, however, having a bit of trouble figuring out this Core Data stuff. How do I create a new entry with a unique ID? In SQL I would just declare one field as an autoincrement field. I'm not seeing anything like that here, but I could just be missing something. I just want an auto incrementing NSInteger field, so when I manually add items to the database, I will have some form of reference to them.

  Hi, I am building an app on top of Google Reader. Since users have to enter their Google Account data, I'd like to use this data to assign personal settings to each user. However, if I do so and a user would change his email adress or password(for the whole Google Account), I wouldn't be able to identify him anymore. • Stop NSXMLParser Instance from Causing _NSAutoreleaseNoPool

  Hi Everyone: In my iPhone application, I have an instance of NSXMLParser that is set to a custom delegate to read the XML. This is then moved into its own thread so it can update the data in the background. However, ever since I have done this, it has been giving me a lot of _NSAutoreleaseNoPool warnings in the console. I have tried to add a NSAutoreleasePool to each of my delegate classes, however, this hasn't seemed to solve the problem. I have included my method of creating the NSXMLParser in case that is at fault. • How can I get my div id to reload via ajax and jquery

  I'm creating a CMS using jQuery and AJAX. When I click, my "Add Campaign" buttom, it creates a unique client ID in the DB and on a hard reload, the new client shows up in its container. I am trying to use ajax to reload the container on the fly and I'm not having the exact luck i am hoping for. • How to access Sharepoint List Items using an ID

  I am currently working on a nice table that displays the items in a list of "Tasks" on a dispForm page. Each Task is created and initially given a ProjectID depending on which project the task is for. The ProjectID is the actual ID given to the "project" when it is added to the list, therefore it is not actually a parameter in the list of projects while it is a parameter in the list of tasks. I would like to know how to use the ProjectID parameter in the task list to link to the Project list and grab the ProjectName parameter so that I can display the Project Name in the table. • PHP Session Id changes between pages

  Hi All, I have a problem where i am losing the PHP session between 2 pages. The session_start() is included in a file called session-inc.php into every page requiring a session to be set. This works for all pages on the site except one particular page, member-profile.php. When this page is visited a new session with a different id (same session name) is set and used instead. A few more details: Session name is set manually All pages are on the same server under the same domain name If i put an additional session_start() above the include('session-inc.php') in the member-profile.php file, the session is carried over correctly I have tried setting the session_cookie_domain and session.session_name in the .htaccess, this worked for this domain but it stopped the session being passed over to out payment domain We are running apache 2.2.6 with php 5.2.5 Putting the session_start() above the include('session-inc.php') in the member-profile.php file is the quick and dirty fix for this problem, but i am wondering if anybody know why this would be happening. He wants to have a solution such that when somebody call to his company, the operator sees all the information about the person who is calling based on the database he have right now and the caller ID.   In my last application, using MEF to load plugins went just fine, but now I'm running into a new issue. I have a solution for it that I explain at the end of this question, but I'm looking for other ways to do it. Let's say I have an interface called ApplianceInterface. I also have two plugins that inherit from ApplianceInterface, let's call them Blender and Processor. Now, I would like to have multiple Blenders and Processors in my application, but I am not sure how to instantiate them properly. Before, I would simply use the ImportMany attribute and upon calling ComposeParts, my application would load Blender and Processor. For example: [ImportMany(typeof(ApplianceInterface))] private IEnumerable<ApplianceInterface> Appliances { get; set; } and my Blender and Processor plugins would be attributed like this: [PartCreationPolicy(CreationPolicy.NonShared)] [Export(typeof(MyInterface)] public class Blender : ApplianceInterface { ... } but what this ends up doing for me is populating Appliances with one Blender and one Processor. I need to be able to create an arbitrary number of Blender and Processor objects. Now, from the documentation I understand that [PartCreationPolicy(CreationPolicy.NonShared)] is what allows MEF to create a new instance each time, but is there a similar "magical" way to create a specific number of instances of something using MEF? Up until now, I've relied on [Import] and [ImportMany] to resolve the assemblies. Is my only option to use a global container, and then resolve the export manually using GetExportedValue<? I have tried GetExportedValue< and that implementation does work fine for me, but I was just curious if there is a better, more accepted way to do it.

• Blob ID matching over multiple frames in C++ (image analysis)

  Dear reader, I'm working on a blob matching and tracking library in C++. Currently I'm using openCV to detect blobs and try to match blobs in a new frame by checking the position, velocity and size of the blob. This works quite okay and I'm receiving a high blob match rate (95% or higher). Sometimes blobs fall out of the image or new blobs appear. Now I need to give matched blobs the same ID as they had before. I'm wondering if there are typical or commonly used techniques for doing this. Or even some keywords I can use to google on. Thanks
