  • MediaWiki plugin for dynamic content via forms

    Are there any plugins for MediaWiki that would allow me to create a page that has a form at the top that when filled in populates tags further down in the document? Say someone would put a form with "Source Server:" and "Destination Server:" fields at the top. Once those were typed in it would automatically populate those names into the content lower so that when following the instructions you could just read the docs and not have to mentally replace things, and possibly mess it all up. I'm not looking to make pages that are permanent, just ones that can have values entered before they are followed. Any suggestions?

  • Grails: GGTS not running on Amazon AWS EC2 anyone else successful?

    Im just curious if anyone has had success trying to run the Groovy Grails tool suite on an Amazon AWS EC2 instance with its display exported into your windows machine. If so, I wanted to know which flavor of linux was used on the EC2. I am not having much success with it on the Amazon Linux but haven't tried their Ubuntu instances yet. I got all the way to getting GGTS installed and getting the display exported but when I launch GGTS I get log errors about libraries missing. This is most likely because I didn't use yum to install it so I am probably missing dependencies but I didn't have a choice its not offered as a yum package.     I am new to android. I have just downloaded and installed android sdk. Now when I run the application from eclipse, my device is not getting detected.   • Advantages of Scala vs. Groovy with JAVA EE 6 Applications.

    Please let me first emphasize that I am not looking for flare wars. I just want advices from people who have real experiences. I started learning JAVA EE 6 as real newbie and am having had time choosing what tools to use. First problem is what is the advantage of using Scala vs. Groovy with Java EE 6 apps over Java? I've seen on some blogs people mentioning you gonna write less code but as a newbie I don't know what other advantages and disadvantages are there. Second problem is Netbeans 6.9 or Helios 3.6.1? I realized that with eclipse I can easily mix EE 6 applications with Groovy or Scala without any problems (I only did this by displaying a String message from Scala and Groovy classes.). With Netbeans the only I can think of is having separate Java project libraries and using the jars in my web app. But also realize to the extent of my little knowledge Netbeans has better support for Java EE 6. Please need your expert advice. Thanks.

Apache APR, for example, use the well known version numbering scheme <major>.<minor>.<patch> example: 4.5.11 Maven suggests a similar but more detailed schema: <major>.<minor>.<patch>-<qualifier>-<build number> example: 4.5.11-RC1-3732 Where is the Maven versioning scheme defined? Are there conventions for qualifier and build number? Probably it is a bad idea to use maven but not to follow the Maven version scheme ... What other version numbering schemes do you know? What scheme would you prefer and why?

    Hello, I try to execute the mvn sonar:sonar command on a machine where Maven is configured to have no access to external repositories (in reality, this is not exactly the case, but it helps me to explain my problem). So currently, if I run this command, I get the following error: [ERROR] BUILD ERROR [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [INFO] The plugin 'org.codehaus.mojo:sonar-maven-plugin' does not exist or no valid version could be found I think it means that I have some incorrect metadata in my local repository, as I have a [local repo]\org\codehaus\mojo\sonar-maven-plugin\1.0-beta-1 directory (with the JAR inside, of course).     We've just recently converted our project to using Maven for builds and dependency management, and after the conversion I'm getting the following exception while trying to run any JSFUnit tests in my project. All the dependencies and JARs for JSFUnit were pulled with Maven using the JBoss repository (http://repository.jboss.com/maven2/). We're using the following dependencies in the project: jboss-jsfunit-core 1.2.0.Final jboss-jsfunit-richfaces 1.2.0.Final richfaces-ui 3.3.2.GA openfaces 2.0 JSF 1.2_12 Facelets 1.1.14 Before the dependencies were being managed by Maven, we were able to run our JSFUnit tests just fine. I was able to semi-fix the issue by using a ss_css2.jar file that someone had tucked into our WEB-INF/lib directory (from before the Maven conversion). I'm hoping to find out if there's something else I can do to fix the dependencies in Maven rather than resorting to managing some of the dependencies myself.

    Hi, I am new to maven and chekstyle, so need to ask some question... I want to use checkstyle in my maven based project, so in my pom.xml I have add the dependency <dependency> <groupId>checkstyle</groupId> <artifactId>checkstyle</artifactId> <version>2.4</version> </dependency> and also I have added the entry in plugin tag: <plugin> <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-checkstyle-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.4</version> <configuration> <enableRulesSummary>true</enableRulesSummary> <configLocation>checkstyle.xml</configLocation> </configuration> </plugin> But when I run my maven build with command mvn clean install, checkstyle doesn't do anything. And as I dont have any checkstyle.xml in my system yet, shouldn't it complains me about the error? What else configuration am I missing?

    I'm trying to upgrade my project from using Maven 1 to Maven 2, but I'm having a problem with one of the goals. Right now, the installpack directory is in the resources directory of my standard Maven2 directory structure, which works well since it just gets copied over. I need it to be zipped though. I found this page on creating ant plugins: http://maven.apache.org/guides/plugin/guide-ant-plugin-development.html. It looks like I could create my own ant plugin to do what I need. I was just wondering if there was a way to do it using only Maven2. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks, B.J.

    hi, i know this is probably frowned upon by maven lovers, but the whole 'target' directory is a waste of space in the context of our program and it's deployment. we have other build processes responsible for creating the actual deployment and i currently manually delete the target dir after every maven build, so that its contents don't interfere with my file searches etc... is there a way to delete this dir automatically at the end of a maven build/install? thanks, p.

    I'm building a number of artefacts (zip files for different environments: test, dev) using the maven-assembly-plugin using a specialized Maven profile. These artefacts I want to copy/collect on on a FTP server keeping the version (01.07.10.16.Wed-1626) as a folder, so I need to copy from test/build/01.07.10.16.Wed-1626/ to ftp://my-ftp-server:21/projects/myserver-1.7/01.07.10.16.Wed-1626/ The layout for the Maven output is this: target/ build/ 01.07.10.16.Wed-1626/ my-server-01.07.10.16.Wed-1626-dev.zip my-server-01.07.10.16.Wed-1626-test.zip For copying the artefacts I'm using FTP Publisher Plugin but it seams I miss something since that even the build is OK and the artefacts are build without problem but the job is finishing without copying the artefacts, and in the console there is no log info about copying the artefacts My FTP publisher config (FTP repository hosts) is: Hostname: my-ftp-server Port: 21 Timeout: 10000 Root Repository Path: projects User Name: my-user Password: my-pass My Hudson job FTP publisher config (Publish artifacts to FTP) is: FTP site: my-ftp-server Files to upload Source: target/build/** Destination: myserver-1.7 1: There is any log to check if there are any FTP copy errors ? 2: There is any problem with the file pattern (source) or with the dest ?

  • How do I install Flash Player 11 debug version in 11.10?

    I want to replace my existing browser plugin Flash Player with the debug version, and update to FP11 while I'm at it. I also want to install the debug version of the projector player and make it the default player for SWF files outside of the browser. First the browser plugin version. I've downloaded the installer from the official site, but I'm not sure what to do with the contents. There is a usr folder, and I presume that I am to write the contents of this to /usr. There is also a file called libflashplayer.so, and I have no idea what to do with that. For download for the projector player has confused me further because it only contains one file: flashplayerdebugger. I don't know what to do with this. If there is a way to install these softwares through apt-get or the Software Center I would love to hear about it, I have only found solutions for the standard player, but otherwise could someone please tell me what to do with these files? Update Ok, so I've figured out that if I dump the flashplayerdebugger file into /usr/lib/ I can point Eclipse at it and compile and test SWFs as expected from inside Eclipse. But how can I set that application as the default player when I select an SWF in Nautilus?

  • Using JPA 2.0 with WebLogic Server 10.3.4 and Eclipse

    Beginning in Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (OEPE) 11.1.1.6.1, we introduced a new feature for WebLogic Server configuration called Server Extensions. Similar in concept to project facets, Server Extensions allow us to install additional technologies, libraries, configurations, etc into an existing server runtime. WebLogic Server 10.3.4 introduces new support for Java Persistence 2.0, the new JEE 6 standard entity access. In order to start developing JPA 2.0 applications with WebLogic Server 10.3.4, a SmartUpdate patch must be applied to add and configure the EclipseLink libraries. More information on the manual EclipseLink installation and configuration can be found here. OEPE provides a Server Extension for JPA 2.0, making the addition and configuration of JPA 2.0 and EclipseLink much easier. When defining a new WebLogic Server 10.3.4 configuration, simply click the Install link for Java Persistence 2.0 and OEPE will take care of the WebLogic Server enablement for JPA 2.0.
