  • Tracking pages with variables in GA

    Recently I have updated my site, it now passes a variable on some links like so... www.mysite.com/1234/?play=true I've noticed in Google Analytics it records www.mysite.com/1234/ and www.mysite.com/1234/?play=true as two different URL's. Is there a way to merge them because they are after all just one page, It makes "Top Content" for example hard to read because of dupilicates. I've read about something called canonical link tag which may help this? My blog has this already inserted into the head but it doesnt make a difference. Any suggestions?

    I have a gallery type website, e.g. a site that lists blog posts or pictures in a paginated manner. However, I have 2 pages that have identical content: example.com/index.html example.com/page/1 Page 2, 3 and so on have different content naturally. However, for SEO purposes, what is the best way of telling Google that page 1 is identical to index.html? Should I 302 redirect index.html to /page/1 so index.html is non-existent, so to say or should I put a canonical tag in /page/1 (but not on /page/2) that points to index.html?

    I have created a subdomain for a town in San Diego that's ranking very well for it's keywords: http://carmelvalleymortgage.loanrebateinc.com/ I want to replicate this subdomain's content for another town in San Diego: http://sandiego.mortgage.loanrebateinc.com/ I will edit the text, tags, image files specific to each town, otherwise the verbiage will be identical. Question: Will Google penalize the main site? Will Google penalize the subdomains and list the content as spam? If yes to either 1 or 2, what strategies can I implement to prevent this? I'm using WordPress.

    As you all can see from the picture below, my site's content is duplicated by FeedReader (using iFrame) and indexed at Google. When I clicked at the FeedReader link, it uses some sort of iFrame to draw content from my site live. Until now I always used erasmus-plus.ro without the www. for my website. Is it ok to make a redirect from www. to non-www. From my search on Google all users spoke about it the other way around. And somewhere I read that redirects are not good for seo. Is 301 an exception?

I want this directory to remain "invisible" from search engines so it does not affect any of my site's ranking. In other words, I want this directory to be neutral/invisible and "just there."   • Why is ssh-add adding duplicate identity keys?

    I have created a private/public SSH key pair using "ssh-keygen". I use this to authenticate to remote servers. However, I find that when I log in, "ssh-add -l" already lists my identity key even though I have not added it! If I use the command "ssh-add" it prompts me for my passphrase and loads my identity key. If I then list my keys with "ssh-add -l", it now shows two identity keys! These are obviously the same as both have the same fingerprint, but their descriptions are different (the automatically is "user@host (RSA)" and the one added using ssh-add is "/home/user/.ssh/id_rsa (RSA)"). So why does my identity key appear to be loaded without any action on my part, and why does ssh-add add the same key again? Obviously something must be doing this automatically, but what is it, and how can I stop it?

Is it possible to do this? Thanks EDIT: Thanks for the suggestions - but I don't actually want something to remind me to take scheduled breaks. More something I can click when I realise I'm getting distracted and it'll immediately lock the screen for a fixed amount of time. Or even just lock screen if I can find a way to stop it letting me log in for 20 mins or so.
