  • GNU make variables in Makefile

    - by JTom
Hi, I would like to create a Makefile which also creates a simple script for running the compiled application. I have something like the following: @touch $(SCRIPT) @echo LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$(LIB_DIR) $(APP_DIR)/$(APP) $1 $2 $3 $4 $5 $6 > $(SCRIPT) @chmod +x $(SCRIPT) @echo Script successfully created. And I want $1 $2 ... to appear in the script exactly like $1 $2 ... to represent scripts command-line arguments. I can't get it worked because Makefile is using $1 $2 as its own variables.. How can I accomplish that?

  • How to turn off startup text of GNU gdb in XCode

    - by willc2
I'm new to XCode 3.1.2 and Objective-C 2.0. I've just discovered using breakpoints for logging instead of littering the code with millions of NSLog() statements. The problem is, when the debugger starts up it spews half a screen full of status and credits info into the console. Is there any way to suppress this text?

  • Reference a GNU C DLL built in GCC against Cygwin, from C#/NET

    - by Dale Halliwell
Here is what I want: I have a huge legacy C/C++ codebase written for POSIX, including some very POSIX specific stuff like pthreads. This can be compiled on Cygwin/GCC and run as an executable under Windows with the Cygwin DLL. What I would like to do is build the codebase itself into a Windows DLL that I can then reference from C# and write a wrapper around it to access some parts of it programatically. I have tried this approach with the very simple "hello world" example at http://www.cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/dll.html and it doesn't seem to work. #include <stdio.h> extern "C" __declspec(dllexport) int hello(); int hello() { printf ("Hello World!\n"); return 42; } I believe I should be able to reference a DLL built with the above code in C# using something like: [DllImport("kernel32.dll")] public static extern IntPtr LoadLibrary(string dllToLoad); [DllImport("kernel32.dll")] public static extern IntPtr GetProcAddress(IntPtr hModule, string procedureName); [DllImport("kernel32.dll")] public static extern bool FreeLibrary(IntPtr hModule); [UnmanagedFunctionPointer(CallingConvention.Cdecl)] private delegate int hello(); static void Main(string[] args) { var path = Path.Combine(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory, "helloworld.dll"); IntPtr pDll = LoadLibrary(path); IntPtr pAddressOfFunctionToCall = GetProcAddress(pDll, "hello"); hello hello = (hello)Marshal.GetDelegateForFunctionPointer( pAddressOfFunctionToCall, typeof(hello)); int theResult = hello(); Console.WriteLine(theResult.ToString()); bool result = FreeLibrary(pDll); Console.ReadKey(); } But this approach doesn't seem to work. LoadLibrary returns null. It can find the DLL (helloworld.dll), it is just like it can't load it or find the exported function. I am sure that if I get this basic case working I can reference the rest of my codebase in this way. Any suggestions or pointers, or does anyone know if what I want is even possible? Thanks.

  • How to write different implicit rules for different file names for GNU Make

    - by anupamsr
Hi! I have a directory in which I keep adding different C++ source files, and generic Makefile to compile them. This is the content of the Makefile: .PHONY: all clean CXXFLAGS = -pipe -Wall -Wextra -Weffc++ -pedantic -ggdb SRCS = $(wildcard *.cxx) OBJS = $(patsubst %.cxx,%.out,$(SRCS)) all: $(OBJS) clean: rm -fv $(OBJS) %.out: %.cxx $(CXX) $(CXXFLAGS) $^ -o $@ NOTE: As is obvious from above, I am using *.out for executable file extensions (and not for object file). Also, there are some files which are compiled together: g++ file_main.cxx file.cxx -o file_main.out To compile such files, until now I have been adding explicit rules in the Makefile: file_main.out: file_main.cxx file.cxx file.out: file_main.out @echo "Skipping $@" But now my Makefile has a lot of explicit rules, and I would like to replace them with a simpler implicit rule. Any idea how to do it?

  • GNU Makefile: multiple outputs from single rule + preventing intermediate files from being deleted

    - by makesaurus
This is sort of a continuation of question from link text. The problem is that there is a rule generating multiple outputs from a single input, and the command is time-consuming so we would prefer to avoid recomputation. Now there is an additional twist, that we want to keep files from being deleted as intermediate files, and rules involve wildcards to allow for parameters. The solution suggested was that we set up the following rule: file-a.out: program file.in ./program file.in file-a.out file-b.out file-c.out file-b.out: file-a.out @ file-c.out: file-b.out @ Then, calling make file-c.out creates both and we avoid issues with running make in parallel with -j switch. All fine so far. The problem is the following. Because the above solution sets up a chain in the DAG, make considers it differently; the files file-a.out and file-b.out are treated as intermediate files, and they by default get deleted as unnecessary as soon as file-c.out is ready. A way of avoiding that was mentioned somewhere here, and consists of adding file-a.out and file-b.out as dependencies of a target .SECONDARY, which keeps them from being deleted. Unfortunately, this does not solve my case because my rules use wildcard patters; specifically, my rules look more like this: file-a-%.out: program file.in ./program $* file.in file-a-$*.out file-b-$*.out file-c-$*.out file-b-%.out: file-a-%.out @ file-c-%.out: file-b-%.out @ so that one can pass a parameter that gets included in the file name, for example by running make file-c-12.out The solution that make documentation suggests is to add these as implicit rules to the list of dependencies of .PRECIOUS, thus keeping these files from being deleted. The solution with .PRECIOUS works, but it also prevents these files from being deleted when a rule fails and files are incomplete. Is there any other way to make this work?

  • Bison: Optional tokens in a single rule.

    - by Simone Margaritelli
Hi there .. i'm using GNU Bison 2.4.2 to write a grammar for a new language i'm working on and i have a question. When i specify a rule, let's say : statement : T_CLASS T_IDENT '{' T_CLASS_MEMBERS '}' { // create a node for the statement ... } If i have a variation on the rule, for instance statement : T_CLASS T_IDENT T_EXTENDS T_IDENT_LIST '{' T_CLASS_MEMBERS '}' { // create a node for the statement ... } Where (from flex scanner rules) : "class" return T_CLASS; "extends" return T_EXTENDS; [a-zA-Z\_][a-zA-Z0-9\_]* return T_IDENT; (and T_IDENT_LIST is a rule for comma separated identifiers). Is there any way to specify all of this only in one rule, setting somehow the "T_EXTENDS T_IDENT_LIST" as optional? I've already tried with T_CLASS T_IDENT (T_EXTENDS T_IDENT_LIST)? '{' T_CLASS_MEMBERS '}' { // create a node for the statement ... } But Bison gave me an error. Thanks

  • How to generate makefile targets from variables?

    - by Ketil
I currently have a makefile to process some data. The makefile gets the inputs to the data processing by sourcing a CONFIG file, which defines the input data in a variable. Currently, I symlink the input files to a local directory, i.e. the makefile contains: tmp/%.txt: tmp ln -fs $(shell echo $(INPUTS) | tr ' ' '\n' | grep $(patsubst tmp/%,%,$@)) $@ This is not terribly elegant, but appears to work. Is there a better way? Basically, given INPUTS = /foo/bar.txt /zot/snarf.txt I would like to be able to have e.g. %.out: %.txt some command As well as targets to merge results depending on all $(INPUT) files. Also, apart from the kludgosity, the makefile doesn't work correctly with -j, something that is crucial for the analysis to complete in reasonable time. I guess that's a bug in GNU make, but any hints welcome.

  • Custom script in .screenrc

    - by benoror
Hi. I made a script that spawns a remote shell or runs a local shell whether it's on the current machine or not: #!/bin/bash # By: benoror <[email protected]> # # spawns a remote shell or runs a local shell whether it's on the current machine or not # $1 = hostname if [ "$(hostname)" == "$1" ]; then bash else ssh "$1.local" fi For example, if I'm on server1: ./spawnshell.sh server1 -> runs bash ./spawnshell.sh server2 -> ssh to server2.local I want that script to run automatically in separate tabs in GNU Screen, but I can't make it run, my .screenrc: ... screen -t "@server1" 1 exec /home/benoror/scripts/spawnshell.sh server1 screen -t "@server2" 2 exec /home/benoror/scripts/spawnshell.sh server2 ... But it doesn't works, I've tried without 'exec', with -X option and a lot more. Any ideas ?

  • how can I split up this string

    - by lacrosse1991
I am currently trying to sanitize some log files so they are in an easier format to read, and have been trying to use the gnu cut command, which works fairly well, although I cannot really think of a good way to remove the [INFO] part of the string logs/logs/server_1283258036.log:2010-08-31 23:06:51 [INFO] <NateMar> where?! logs/logs/server_1281904775.log:2010-08-15 22:59:53 [INFO] <BoonTheMoon> §b<BoonTheMoon>§ohhhhhh I would ultimately want to get the strings down to something that resembles the following 2010-08-31 23:06:51 <NateMar> where?! 2010-08-15 22:59:53 <BoonTheMoon> ohhhhhh how should I go about doing this? Have thought about using awk, although Im having a difficult time getting a grip on how that would work, so not sure how to set up something to do that, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  • Build multiple sources into multiple targets in a directory

    - by Taschetto
folks. I'm learning about GNU-Make and I have the following project structure: ~/projects /sysCalls ex1.c ex2.c ex3.c ex4.c ex5.c ex6.c ex7.c Each .c source is very simple, has its own main function and must be built into a corresponding binary (preferably named after its source). But I want to build into a bin directory (added to my .gitignore file). My current Makefile is: CC := gcc CFLAGS := -Wall -g SRC := $(wildcard *.c) TARGET := $(SRC:.c=) all: bin $(TARGET) mv $(TARGET) bin/ bin: mkdir bin clean: rm -fr bin/ It works as expected, but always builds every source. And I don't like moving everything to bin "manually". Any tips or ideas on how this Makefile could be improved?

  • C: Running Unix configure file in Windows

    - by Shiftbit
I would like to port a few applications that I use on Linux to Windows. In particular I have been working on wdiff. A program that compares the differences word by word of two files. Currently I have been able to successfully compile the program on windows through Cygwin. However, I would like to run the program natively on Windows similar to the Project: UnixUtils. How would I go about porting unix utilities on a windows environment? My possible guess it to manually create the ./configure file so that I can create a proper makefile. Am I on the right track? Has anyone had experience porting GNU software to windows? Update: I've compiled it on Code::Blocks and I get two errors: wdiff.c|226|error: `SIGPIPE' undeclared (first use in this function) readpipe.c:71: undefined reference to `_pipe' readpipe.c:74: undefined reference to `_fork This is a linux signal that is not supported by windows... equvilancy? wdiff.c|1198|error: `PRODUCT' undeclared (first use in this function)| this is in the configure.in file... hardcode would probably be the fastest solution... Outcome: MSYS took care of the configure problems, however MinGW couldnt solve the posix issues. I attempt to utilize pthreads as recommended by mrjoltcola. However, after several hours I couldnt get it to compile nor link using the provided libraries. I think if this had worked it would have been the solution I was after. Special mention to Michael Madsen for MSYS.

  • Trailing comments after variable assignment subvert comparison

    - by nobar
In GNU make, trailing comments appended to variable assignments prevent subsequent comparison (via ifeq) from working correctly. Here's the Makefile... A = a B = b ## trailing comment C = c RESULT := ifeq "$(A)" "a" RESULT += a endif ifeq "$(B)" "b" RESULT += b endif ifeq "$(C)" "c" RESULT += c endif rule: @echo RESULT=\"$(RESULT)\" @echo A=\"$(A)\" @echo B=\"$(B)\" @echo C=\"$(C)\" Here's the output... $ make RESULT=" a c" A="a" B="b " C="c" As you can see from the displayed value of RESULT, the ifeq was affected by the presence of the comment in the assignment of B. Echoing the variable B, shows that the problem is not the comment, but the intervening space. The obvious solution is to explicitly strip the whitespace prior to comparison like so... ifeq "$(strip $(B))" "b" RESULT += b endif However this seems error prone. Since the strip operation is not needed unless/until a comment is used, you can leave out the strip and everything will initially work just fine -- so chances are you won't always remember to add the strip. Later, if someone adds a comment when setting the variable, the Makefile no longer works as expected. Note: There is a closely related issue, as demonstrated in this question, that trailing whitespace can break string compares even if there is no comment. Question: Is there a more fool-proof way to deal with this issue?

  • Gearman too many processes issue

    - by Roman Newaza
I use Net_Gearman from PECL, Gearmand 1.1.11 and Gearman Manager. Every time I add background job, I can see new worker listed with no Function, nor Id in Ggearman-Monitor: If I add many messages in the bash loop, after some time it becomes very slow. for i in $(seq 0 9999); do php Client.php && echo $i; done Yesterday, the situation was even worse - I had many error messages in Gearmand log regarding Too many open files and once I added --file-descriptors=49152 as an option and swithched to 1.1.11 from 1.0.6, these errors gone. • IBus client for GNU Emacs: Installed, but how do I start it?

    - by fred.bear
Having recently moved to Linux/Ubuntu, I'm looking for a good editor, and GNU Emacs seems to fit the bill. One thing I want from a text editor is the ability to handle Unicode Input Method Editors in a "normal way", across the board. For Ubuntu, the "normal way" is via IBus. However, emacs does not support IBus "off the shelf". I found a launchpad project: IBus client for GNU Emacs: ibus-el. I've installed ibus-el and set it up as per the Customize section of this emacswiki IBusMode page. I included the suggested "toggle" keybinding: ;; Use s-SPC to toggle input status It seems to have installed okay, but I have no idea how to invoke IBus and switch IMEs. s-SPC doesn't fire up the IBus language panel... I'm stuck :( ...so close, yet so far.... Here are the startup *messages* Loading 00debian-vars... No /etc/mailname. Reverting to default... • Finding nuggets in ARC discussions

    - by alanc
A bit over twenty years ago, Sun formed an Architecture Review Committee (ARC) that evaluates proposals to change interfaces between components in Sun software products. During the OpenSolaris days, we opened many of these discussions to the community. While they’re back behind closed doors, and at a different company now, we still continue to hold these reviews for the software from what’s now the Sun Systems Group division of Oracle. Recently one of these reviews was held (via e-mail discussion) to review a proposal to update our GNU findutils package to the latest upstream release. One of the upstream changes discussed was the addition of an “oldfind” program. In findutils 4.3, find was modified to use the fts() function to walk the directory tree, and oldfind was created to provide the old mechanism in case there were bugs in the new implementation that users needed to workaround. In Solaris 11 though, we still ship the find descended from SVR4 as /usr/bin/find and the GNU find is available as either /usr/bin/gfind or /usr/gnu/bin/find. This raised the discussion of if we should add oldfind, and if so what should we call it. Normally our policy is to only add the g* names for GNU commands that conflict with an existing Solaris command – for instance, we ship /usr/bin/emacs, not /usr/bin/gemacs. In this case however, that seemed like it would be more confusing to have /usr/bin/oldfind be the older version of /usr/bin/gfind not of /usr/bin/find. Thus if we shipped it, it would make more sense to call it /usr/bin/goldfind, which several ARC members noted read more naturally as “gold find” than as “g old find”. One of the concerns we often discuss in ARC is if a change is likely to be understood by users or if it will result in more calls to support. As we hit this part of the discussion on a Friday at the end of a long week, I couldn’t resist putting forth a hypothetical support call for this command: “Hello, Oracle Solaris Support, how may I help you?” “My admin is out sick, but he sent an email that he put the findutils package on our server, and I can run goldfind now. I tried it, but goldfind didn’t find gold.” “Did he get the binutils package too?” “No he just said findutils, do we need binutils?” “Well, gold comes in the binutils package, so goldfind would be able to find gold if you got that package.” “How much does Oracle charge for that package?” “It’s free for Solaris users.” “You mean Oracle ships packages of gold to customers for free?” “Yes, if you get the binutils package, it includes GNU gold.” “New gold? Is that some sort of alchemy, turning stuff into gold?” “Not new gold, gold from the GNU project.” “Oracle’s taking gold from the GNU project and shipping it to me?” “Yes, if you get binutils, that package includes gold along with the other tools from the GNU project.” “And GNU doesn’t mind Oracle taking their gold and giving it to customers?” “No, GNU is a non-profit whose goal is to share their software.” “Sharing software sure, but gold? Where does a non-profit like GNU get gold anyway?” “Oh, Google donated it to them.” “Ah! So Oracle will give me the gold that GNU got from Google!” “Yes, if you get the package from us.” “How do I get the package with the gold?” “Just run pkg install binutils and it will put it on your disk.” “We’ve got multiple disks here - which one will it put it on?” “The one with the system image - do you know which one that is? “Well the note from the admin says the system is on the first disk and the users are on the second disk.” “Okay, so it should go on the first disk then.” “And where will I find the gold?” “It will be in the /usr/bin directory.” “In the user’s bin? So thats on the second disk?” “No, it would be on the system disk, with the other development tools, like make, as, and what.” “So what’s on the first disk?” “Well if the system image is there the commands should all be there.” “All the commands? Not just what?” “Right, all the commands that come with the OS, like the shell, ps, and who.” “So who’s on the first disk too?” “Yes. Did your admin say when he’d be back?” “No, just that he had a massive headache and was going home after I tried to get him to explain this stuff to me.” “I can’t imagine why.” “Oh, is why a command too?” “No, _why was a Ruby programmer.” “Ruby? Do you give those away with the gold too?” “Yes, but it comes in the ruby package, not binutils.” “Oh, I’ll have to have my admin get that package too! Thanks!” Needless to say, we decided this might not be the best idea. Since the GNU package hasn’t had to release a serious bug fix in the new find in the past few years, the new GNU find seems pretty stable, and we always have the SVR4 find to use as a fallback in Solaris, so it didn’t seem that adding oldfind was really necessary, so we passed on including it when we update to the new findutils release. [Apologies to Abbott, Costello, their fans, and everyone who read this far. The Gold (linker) page on Wikipedia may explain some of the above, but can’t explain why goldfind is the old GNU find, but gold is the new GNU ld.]

  • ATI propriatery drivers install latest 12.8, broke my kernel. Stuck on kernel 3.2.0-26

    - by user66987
I messed up a bit. Hoping some here can help me. I tried to install the newest catalyst 12.8. Sadly, this broke my system. I was stuck in low graphics mode. I finally managed to restore the proprietary drivers, and get into ubuntu again. But now I am stuck on kernel 3.2.0.26. I had installed kernel 3.2.0-30, but the system no longer sees it. I have kernel 3.2.0-29 too, but the system cannot see that as well. In the grub menu. When I use sudo update-grub, they are both listed. Here are the output I get: Searching for GRUB installation directory ... found: /boot/grub Cannot determine root device. On my laptop which came pre-installed with Windows 8.1. Felt I needed to see the competition for myself to establish which was a better OS. So I followed the channels to dual boot. All seemed fine and I accessed Ubuntu with no issues after selecting this from the menu to select the OS. I should add that the boot method was changed to legacy. However, since using Ubuntu, I no longer have the ability to select the OS. The laptop simply logs straight into Ubuntu. I therefore attempted to access the recovery options, only it appears the Windows 8 bootloader has somehow been corrupted as I am now told to use the Windows 8 recovery disc (which, as this was pre-installed - I do not have). Left with no other alternative, I have scoured these forums without success, and so I am hoping someone in the know (or who has experienced similar) can help. I have tried boot repair again without success. On rebooting I am only presented with a basic splash screen asking me to select Ubuntu, Memtest, Windows 8 Recovery or Windows 8 Bootloader (The bootloaders again require I insert the disc). I have tried Code: cat /boot/grub/grub.cfg df -h sudo fdisk -l cat /proc/partitions # # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE # # It is automatically generated by grub-mkconfig using templates # from /etc/grub.d and settings from /etc/default/grub # ### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/00_header ### if [ -s $prefix/grubenv ]; However, if I'm to try using Ubuntu again then there is the risk this problem may come back. Again, I did not do anything manually - the installer did everything (with the exception of changing the boot to Legacy to allow the booting of another bootloader). LiveCD works but doesn't give me the options that I've seen here and as mentioned earlier, only boot recovery only gives me the options as mentioned earlier. Also this fails to load via USB (possibly because HDD comes before USB in the boot order?). Being used to a Windows environment, the Ubuntu (and Linux) environment is a dive at a less than comfortable depth at present (but one I fully intend to get to grips with - especially the commands being more common via Terminal). I very much appreciate the help with this guys.

  • IPS Facets and Info files

    - by mkupfer
One of the unusual things about IPS is its "facet" feature. For example, if you're a developer using the foo library, you don't install a libfoo-dev package to get the header files. Intead, you install the libfoo package, and your facet.devel setting controls whether you get header files. I was reminded of this recently when I tried to look at some documentation for Emacs Org mode. I was surprised when Emacs's Info browser said it couldn't find the top-level Info directory. I poked around in /usr/share but couldn't find any info files. $ ls -l /usr/share/info ls: cannot access /usr/share/info: No such file or directory Was I was missing a package? $ pkg list -a | egrep "info|emacs" editor/gnu-emacs 23.1-0.175.0.0.0.2.537 i-- editor/gnu-emacs/gnu-emacs-gtk 23.1-0.175.0.0.0.2.537 i-- editor/gnu-emacs/gnu-emacs-lisp 23.1-0.175.0.0.0.2.537 --- editor/gnu-emacs/gnu-emacs-no-x11 23.1-0.175.0.0.0.2.537 --- editor/gnu-emacs/gnu-emacs-x11 23.1-0.175.0.0.0.2.537 i-- system/data/terminfo 0.5.11-0.175.0.0.0.2.1 i-- system/data/terminfo/terminfo-core 0.5.11-0.175.0.0.0.2.1 i-- text/texinfo 4.7-0.175.0.0.0.2.537 i-- x11/diagnostic/x11-info-clients 7.6-0.175.0.0.0.0.1215 i-- $ Hmm. I didn't have the gnu-emacs-lisp package. That seemed an unlikely place to stick the Info files, and pkg(1) confirmed that the info files were not there: $ pkg contents -r gnu-emacs-lisp | grep info usr/share/emacs/23.1/lisp/info-look.el.gz usr/share/emacs/23.1/lisp/info-xref.el.gz usr/share/emacs/23.1/lisp/info.el.gz usr/share/emacs/23.1/lisp/informat.el.gz usr/share/emacs/23.1/lisp/org/org-info.el.gz usr/share/emacs/23.1/lisp/org/org-jsinfo.el.gz usr/share/emacs/23.1/lisp/pcvs-info.el.gz usr/share/emacs/23.1/lisp/textmodes/makeinfo.el.gz usr/share/emacs/23.1/lisp/textmodes/texinfo.el.gz $ Well, if I have what look like the right packages but don't have the right files, the next thing to check are the facets. The first check is whether there is a facet associated with the Info files: $ pkg contents -m gnu-emacs | grep usr/share/info dir facet.doc.info=true group=bin mode=0755 owner=root path=usr/share/info file [...] chash=[...] facet.doc.info=true group=bin mode=0444 owner=root path=usr/share/info/mh-e-1 [...] file [...] chash=[...] facet.doc.info=true group=bin mode=0444 owner=root path=usr/share/info/mh-e-2 [...] [...] Yes, they're associated with facet.doc.info. Now let's look at the facet settings on my desktop: $ pkg facet FACETS VALUE facet.locale.en* True facet.locale* False facet.doc.man True facet.doc* False $ Oops. I've got man pages and various English documentation files, but not the Info files. Let's fix that: # pkg change-facet facet.doc.info=True Packages to update: 970 Variants/Facets to change: 1 Create boot environment: No Create backup boot environment: Yes Services to change: 1 DOWNLOAD PKGS FILES XFER (MB) Completed 970/970 181/181 9.2/9.2 PHASE ACTIONS Install Phase 226/226 PHASE ITEMS Image State Update Phase 2/2 PHASE ITEMS Reading Existing Index 8/8 Indexing Packages 970/970 # Now we have the info files: $ ls -F /usr/share/info a2ps.info dir@ flex.info groff-2 regex.info aalib.info dired-x flex.info-1 groff-3 remember ...

  • Problem compiling gnustep-gui-0.16.0 undefined reference to png_sizeof

    - by stefanB
I'm trying to compile GNUstep on a linux box but gnustep-gui-0.16.0 package is failing. I downloaded GNUstep Startup stable 0.20.1 (http://wwwmain.gnustep.org/resources/downloads.php)and follow instructions about how to compile (./configure && make). I'm getting this error: libgnustep-gui.so: undefined reference to 'png_sizeof' I have compiled latest libpng (1.2.34) and I can see that png_sizeof is defined as macro. However, I'm not quite sure how to fix the gnustep-gui-0.16.0 build. I tried to pass the include/lib directory where libpng is installed to configure build but nothing seems to help. I have quite up to date linux box but using gcc 3.3 (upgrade is not an option - but this should not be a problem). Full error: Making all for tool set_show_service... Compiling file set_show_service.m ... Linking tool set_show_service ... ../Source/./obj/libgnustep-gui.so: undefined reference to `png_sizeof' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status gmake[3]: *** [obj/set_show_service] Error 1 gmake[2]: *** [set_show_service.all.tool.variables] Error 2 gmake[1]: *** [internal-all] Error 2 gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/home/bla/local/src/gnustep-startup-0.22.0/build/gnustep-gui-0.16.0' gmake[3]: *** [obj/set_show_service] Error 1 gmake[2]: *** [set_show_service.all.tool.variables] Error 2 gmake[1]: *** [internal-all] Error 2 Any suggestions?
