• Picasa “sync to web” folders do not stay in sync

  I have multiple folders from the Picasa software that were moved to my Google+ profile using the "sync to web" feature. At some point I noticed that some of these folders were on Google+ and had the green upload arrow in Picasa, however the "sync to web" option was disabled. I tried to re-enable the "sync to web" option and it starts loading but after a few seconds the "sync to web" option is back to disabled. I get no error message, it just switches back to disable. Is there any way I could leave the option enabled? Out of around 80 something albums synced to Google+ only 3-4 are not able to have the "sync to web" option enabled. Thanks.

• Cannot mount Android phone in Ubuntu and sync with Banshee

  I can't get my LG Optimus One to sync with Banshee. I read somewhere that the root needs to have an empty file called '.is_audio_player'. I did that and it still doesn't mount. I ran dmesg however and it appears that the card is unmounting before I even have a change to run Banshee. • Does the Ubuntu One sync work?

  I have been on this for several hours now, trying to get a simple second folder to sync with my (paid) account. I cannot tell you how many times I removed all devices, removed stored passwords, killed all processes of u1, logged out and back in online...and still, the tick in the file browser (Synchronize this folder) is loading and loading and loading. Also, I have logged out, rebooted countless times. And this is after me somehow managing to get the u1 preferences to finally "connect" again. I have also checked the status of your services, and none are close to what I am experiencing. And I have checked the suggested related questions above! So please, just confirm whether it is a problem on my side, or a problem on your side.

• Low pagerank backlinks - does Google penalize?

  I have a new stock discussion forum and I would like to promote it. Specifically, I have two ideas in mind to help promote it: 1) Become a member at other stock discussion forums. Make high quality posts, build a good reputation, and leave a link to my own forum in a non intrusive way (ie. in signature or at the end of my posts). This approach makes sense because you can find other members in other forums that are interested in stock discussion and a backlink to your forum, as long as it is not done in an intrusive/spammy way, should come across as acceptable. 2) Promote my site by writing articles at Squidoo, Hubpages, etc. This approach also makes sense because that's what Squidoo and Hubpages is for. The problem with both these approaches is that when I leave a backlink to my site, the page that I am leaving a backlink from may have a low PR - most likely, a PR of 0. Now, I have read that after the Penguin update by Google, your site can be penalized if you have too many backlinks from low PR pages: http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/224339 So, I am caught in a dilemma: a) If I start promoting my site via other stock forums, Squidoo, Hubpages, etc, but the backlink to my site comes from a page with low PR, Google may penalize my site. b) However, if I don't promote my site, nobody will ever discover it (aside from other promotion techniques like social media promotion, directories, etc).

• Track user through Google Universal Analytics

  I want to track a user from my site, give an id to Google Analytics and later be able to see which pages that id visited and for how long did that id view the pages. I've tried custom variables with the classic analytics. I tried enabling the User-ID feature in the Universal Analytics. Neither of these have given me what I want yet. Is there any way to accomplish this with Universal Analytics? UPDATE This is a sample code with a user whose id is 2. • DesktopCouch does not sync

  I have here two computers, both installed with Ubuntu 10.10. The Laptop uses the Netbook Edition. Both are connected, file sync and Tomboy Notes are working. My Desktop syncs databases with Ubuntu One, my Laptop does not. If I delete for example the contacts Database on my Desktop, the database is back a view seconds later. If I delete the same database on my laptop, nothing happens. (I'm using Futon) If I kill beam, delete the config and try to restart with the dbus-send I got an error Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. How can I fix that?

• Ubuntu One slow download sync speed

  I am having problems syncing my Ubuntu One files with my Ubuntu 12.04 fresh installation. Everything went well during the setup phase. Now, I am trying to sync back in my folders in my U1 account and the transfer speed is extremely slow. I am averaging a 15kb/s transfer speed. I tried uninstalling ubuntuone-client and reinstalling it. It did not fixed the problem. Right now U1 is stuck downloading a 50mb file. It is taking forever. Any ideas? • Ubuntu one sync problem with Windows

  I installed ubuntu one (ubuntuone-3.0.2b) on my Windows 7 pc. My problem is that it does not sync my files without admin rights. The ubuntu one app gets my username and used space, but then hangs.... Then I run the app as admin and it opens, and works correctly. After I run it as admin for all users (right click properties, run as administrator for all users) then the app will not autostart with windows, but when I open the app manually it works correctly. (the uac promt comes up and I accept) I think it is the UAC promt wich prevents it from autostarting, but I do not know how to work around this. I don't know if it is a bug or a problem with windows 7.

  I'm trying to access my Google spreadsheets using the GData API. I have followed the example which looks like: var service = new SpreadsheetsService("myTest"); service.setUserCredentials(username, password); var query = new SpreadsheetQuery(); var feed = service.Query(query); This should return a feed with a list of spreadsheets. However this fails with: Google.GData.Client.GDataRequestException: Execution of request failed: http://spreadsheets.google.com/feeds/spreadsheets/private/full --- System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. When I try the above link directly in my browser I'm able to download the feed, as long as I'm logged in into my Google account. Some further information: I'm not behind a firewall I have checked my username (maurits.rijk at gmail.com) and password several times I am using Mandriva in VirtualBox on a MacBook All my code is compiled with Mono I tried the same functionality in Java on OS-X. That code runs as expected.

• A few tables are still out of sync after running mk-table-sync

  I have 1 master and 2 slaves. I am using MySQL 5.1.42 on all servers. I am attempting to use mk-table-checksum to verify that their data is in sync, but I am getting unexpected results on one of the slaves. First, I generate the checksums on the master like this: mk-table-checksum h=localhost --databases MYDB --tables {$table_list} --replicate=MYDB.mk_checksum --chunk-size=10M My understanding is that this runs the checksum queries on the master which then propagate via normal replication to the slaves. So, no locking is needed because the slaves will be at the same logical point in time when they run the checksum queries on themselves. Is this correct? Next, to verify that the checksums match, I run this on the master: mk-table-checksum --databases MYDB --replicate=IRC.mk_checksum --replicate-check 1 h=localhost,u=maatkit,p=xxxx If there are any differences, I repair the slaves like this: mk-table-sync --execute --verbose --replicate IRC.mk_checksum h=localhost,u=maatkit,p=xxxx After doing all of this, I repaired both slaves with mk-table-sync. However, everytime I run this sequence (after everything has already been repaired), one slave is perfectly in sync but one slave always has a few tables out of sync. I am 99.999% sure that the data on the slaves matches, since I repaired everything and the tables were not even updated on the master between runs of the checksum script. What would cause a few tables to always show out of sync on only one of the slaves? I am stuck.   Can anyone tell me why Google indexes a site http://0.3c.7aae.static.theplanet.com instead of the actual domain name (my domain was registered with webmaster tools). The aforementioned link was linking to my site, but has now become a broken link. Initially I tried 301 directs, but nothing worked. The hosting company cannot explain why.   Does Google analytics regards remote access resources as direct access? For example: Suppose: mysite.com and anothersite.com mysite.com has an image found at http://mysite.com/img/vip.jpg anothersite.com at some page of it like http://anothersite.com/photos.html included vip.jpg in its source in image tag: <img src="http://mysite.com/img/vip.jpg" /> So does Analytics regard loading this image when a visitor vists http://anothersite.com/photos.html to be a direct access for mysite.com?

• website particular url suddenly disappeared from google search result

  i have a website , in that a particular page url was indexed in google search result in the first 10 results , but suddenly it disappeared , not that page is not even in the 100results , what would be the reason. i am feeling that the page has be spammed by our competitors . is it possible to avoid that , or can i find that page has been spammed or not. Is it possible to find the particular page in a website is spam or malicious.
