  • Loopback connection via PHP's getimage size crashes server (Magento's CMS)

    We were able to trace down a problem that is crashing our NGINX server running Magento until the following point: Background info: Magento Backend has a CMS function with a WYSIWYG editor. This editor loads some pictures via a controller in magento (cms/directive). When we set the NGINX error_log level to info, we get the following lines (line break inserted for better readability): 2012/10/22 18:05:40 [info] 14105#0: *1 client closed prematurely connection, so upstream connection is closed too while sending request to upstream, client: XXXXXXXXX, server: test.local, request: "GET index.php/admin/cms_wysiwyg/directive/___directive/BASEENCODEDIMAGEURL,,/ HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://127.0.0.1:9024", host: "test.local" When checking the code in the debugger, the following call does never return (in ´Varien_Image_Adapter_Abstract::getMimeType()` # $this->_fileName is http://test.local/skin/adminhtml/base/default/images/demo-image-not-existing.gif` # $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] = http://test.local/admin/cms_wysiwyg/directive/___directive/BASEENCODEDIMAGEURL list($this->_imageSrcWidth, $this->_imageSrcHeight, $this->_fileType, ) = getimagesize($this->_fileName); The filename requests is an URL to the same server which is requesting the script a link to a static .gif that is not existing. Sample URL: http://test.local/skin/adminhtml/base/default/images/demo-image-not-existing.gif When the above line executed, any subsequent request to the NGNIX server does not respond any more. After waiting for around 10 minutes, the NGINX server starts answering requests again. I tried to reproduce the error with a simple test script that only calls getimagesize() with the given URL - but this not crash. It simple leads to an exception saying that the URL could not be loaded (which is fine as the URL is wrong)

  • bind9 named.conf zones size limit

    I am trying to set up a test environment on my local machine, and I am trying to start a DNS daemon that loads tha configuration from a named.conf.custom file.   • repo sync "CyanogenMod/android_prebuilt" size and resume capability.?

    I'm downloading CyanogenMod-10.1 source on a low speed broadband. About 4GB of source is downloaded . In that 4GB, there is a big project "CyanogenMod/android_frameworks_base" which alone took 1GB of download without any interruption. Ok now, after 4GB of download, my internet got disconnected and I had to stop (ctrl + z) repo sync while it was downloading the project "CyanogenMod/android_prebuilt". Before I stopped repo sync the android_prebuilt got downloaded till 250MB and is at 42percent. I checked the working folder and there is a file "tmp_pack_df5CKb" of size 250MB in the path "$WORKING_DIR/.repo/projects/prebuilt.git/objects/pack/" . Then I restarted repo sync and it was downloading the android_prebuilt project. But I'm not sure if it was downloading from start or resuming from 250MB. While downloading this time , the previous "tmp_pack_df5CKb" isn't deleted and the content is being downloaded to a new file "tmp_pack_HPfvFG". I heard repo sync cannot be resumed for a project. But here, since the previous file isn't deleted I want to ask if android_prebuilt is resuming or downloading from start again? Now that my high speed internet is over (current speed 256kbps), I'm not sure if I can download the remaining ~4GB if single project is in size 500 MB.

    How can I replace the default program providing console windows under Windows XP? I know of alternative programs, and I have a shortcut to start cmd.exe in Console2. But now I want console applications to start in Console2 rather than the default console program, even when I have no control over the program that starts the console application. (I.e. a non-console program starts consoleapp.exe, and I can't change it to start Console2 instead, but I still want the application to be started inside a new instance of Console2.) (Note that I want to replace the console itself, that is, the window in which console (i.e. text mode) applications run. And I must be able to run arbitrary, unmodified console applications: a substitute for a specific console program such as Cmd won't do me any good.) EDIT: So what I'm after is a CSRSS replacement, which leads to OT: I want to know when Microsoft is going to make a decent CSRSS replacement. Not being able to adjust the width of a "terminal" by resizing the window is a complete joke. Go download the ISE already. (It's included in Win7/2008R2.) But as far as I understand this ISE is an environment for Powershell, not a general console emulator.

  • Default /server-status location not inheriting in Apache

    I'm having a problem getting /server-status to work Apache 2.2.14 on Ubuntu Server 10.04.1. The default symlinks for status.load and status.conf are present in /etc/apache2/mods-enabled. The status.conf does include the location /server-status and appropriate allow/deny directives. However, the only vhost I have in sites-enabled looks like this. The idea is to proxy anything with a Tomcat URL to a cluster of tomcats, and anything else to an IIS box. However, this seems to result in requests to /server-status being sent to IIS. Copying the /server-status in explicitly to the Vhost configuration doesn't seem to help, no matter what order I use.   • IIS 6 ASP.NET default handler-mappings and virtual directories

    I'm having a problem with setting a default mapping in IIS 6. I want to secure *.HTML files with ASP.NET forms authentication. The problem seems to have something to do with using virtual directories to hold the html files. Here's how it's setup: sample directory tree c:/inetpub/ (nothing in here) d:/web_files/my_web_apps d:/web_files/my_web_apps/app1/ d:/web_files/my_web_apps/app2/ d:/web_files/my_web_apps/html_files/ app1 and app2 both access the same html_files directory, so html_files is set as a virtual directory in the web apps in IIS... sample web directory tree //app1/html_files/ (points to physical directory: d:/web_files/my_web_apps/html_files/) //app2/html_files/ (points to physical directory: d:/web_files/my_web_apps/html_files/) If I put a file called test.html in the root of //app1/ and then add the default mapping to the asp.net dll and setup my security on the root folder with deny="?", then accessing test.html works exactly as expected. If I'm not authenticated, it takes me to the login.aspx page, and if I am authenticated then it displays test.html. If I put the test.html file in the html_files directory I get a totally different behavior. Now the login.aspx page loads and I stuck some code in to check if I was still authenticated: <p>autheticated: <%=User.Identity.IsAuthenticated%></p> I figured it would say false because why else would it bother to load the login page? Nope, it says true - so it knows i'm authenticated, but it won't give me access to the test.html file. I've spent several hours on this and haven't been able to solve it. I'm going to spend some more time on google to see if I've missed something. Fingers crossed.

  • How to take screenshots of WPF applications in correct size and content

    I usually take screenshots of single windows via the built-in key combination Alt+Print. Unfortunately this does not work well for more and more applications - all of them are WPF applications. Usually the screen shots have at least one of the following properties: the screenshot is larger than expected and contains parts of the screen around the actual window the screenshot has the correct size but includes parts of other windows, e.g. the Windows task bar. Of course the task bar might be in front of the window, but taking screen shots of "normal" programs works fine. How do I take screenshots of WPF application which are correct in size and content? I'd like to avoid the extra effort of checking all the screenshots for correctness, reproducing the situation, taking them again in case of issues or repairing/faking them manually in any pixel manipulation program (e.g. Paint.NET). I observe this on Windows 7 x64 SP 1, all official updates installed, but it might apply to other Windows versions as well (not tested yet). .NET 4.5 is installed. The application itself might only need the built-in .NET 3.5.1. It's reproducible on a virtual machine with the same settings. Examples: Screenshot of an application running in maximized mode. The screen shot includes parts of the task bar. Screenshot of a progress dialog which is behind the task bar. The screenshot also includes the task bar, while it doesn't for non WPF applications.

    I have a problem with my default IPv6 route not coming up after boot on a Debian Squeeze system. If you plan to use name-based virtual hosts, remember that they only work with your non-secure Web server. But not able to figure out how to run two ssl application on same server. Can any one help me?

  • ext3: maximum recommended partition size / handling large partitions

    Hi! I would like to do an encrypted install of Ubuntu on a 2 Terabyte drive (i.e., using LUKS/DMcrypt). In order to not have to type in passwords too often, the partitioning scheme will be 50 GB for / and about 1 TB for /home (and the rest for Windows 7), just for clarity. Even though by now LVM is regarded as being stable, I don't want to bother having more room for errors by introducing unnecessary layers of complexity. For both Ubuntu partitions I want encrypted ext3 with the default blocksize of ext3 (4k?). Thoughts: When I look at most partition schemes here on this site or elsewhere, I usually see at most about 400 or 500 GB partitions (maybe I didn't see enough). There may be different reasons for this, but is reliability an issue here? Are larger ext3 partitions, like about 1 TB, harder to handle for the OS or filesystem driver or at some other level? If I make the partition too large, will it be harder to repair in case of corruptions? Are there some default settings for ext3 that I should change for 1 TB partitions? Question: What maximum partition size for ext3 do you recommend and why? Thanks!

  • Change Outlook's default calendar to iCloud (meeting requests end up in wrong calendar)

    Following scenario: I've got a main computer (Windows 7, Office 2010) which is being used to manage contacts, meetings, etc. using Outlook. Now I've added an iPad and an iPhone to sync using iCloud. I moved all appointments and contacts from the old PST file to the iCloud file. All the data syncs nicely. The email account I'm using in Outlook is an IMAP account which opens up another data file which brings us to a total of three data files in Outlook's side bar. The problem: When one of our clients sends us meeting requests via email they show up in the IMAP's inbox. When we open them up they automatically get added to Outlook's default calendar (the one in the original PST). Is there any chance not to add them to that calendar but the iCloud one? Basically we could completely get rid of the original PST since we don't use it at all anymore but the settings do not allow me to remove this PST file and set the iCloud one as default. Thanks!

  • Size of modules within initrd

    I am currently trying to manually replace the kernel within ubuntu-core on an embedded device with a custom kernel. However when I try to update the initrd my initrd becomes much bigger. Here is what I did: Extract the initrd that was shipped with ubuntu Make a list of all modules within the old initrd get the same modules from the new module director at /lib/modules/new_kernel_version add these modules to the initrd and remove the old ones If I do this my initrd becomes quite bigger than the original one, so I checked the individual modules. I picked the btrfs.ko filesystem driver as an example. So by comparing these two modules I noticed the one I just picked into the initrd was much bigger, which caused the difference in size. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 999K Nov 14 15:06 btrfs.ko For the btrfs.ko within the shipped initrd. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7.2M Nov 14 15:08 btrfs.ko For the new btrfs.ko. What is different between these two modules? Could this be caused by some faulty setting for the new kernel? When producing the kernel I copied /proc/config.gz and used make oldconfig to update it, so all optimisations should be the same for both kernels. Or is there something else which is being done to the modules before they are put into the initrd? Maybe is there even some better way to build a new initrd for the new kernel in ubuntu altogether. Update: I just also tested with an initrd which I created from scratch using the mkinitrfs command within ubuntu, and it has the same size difference that I found for the initrd I manually updated.

  • Changing SkyDrive default location on Windows 8.1

    Update: This issue is due to the use of any non-local location for the SkyDrive folder. I've currently worked around this by using a local folder, but this has not resolved the original problem. I am trying to change the location where SkyDrive is located in Windows 8.1. This is the newly integrated SkyDrive, and not a downloadable client. There are a couple of similar questions on this site, but they pertain to Windows 8 and 8.1 Preview: Changing the SkyDrive default path in Windows 8.1 (Windows 8.1 Preview) How do I change the SkyDrive default folder in Windows (Windows 8) The SkyDrive folder is a system folder in 8.1, and like other system folders, has a Location tab in its properties that theoretically lets you change its location. I was able to do this with other system folders such as Downloads and Pictures, but there is an error when I try to change this for SkyDrive. Edit: The location that causes this error is a mapped network drive. The error does not occur when trying to move SkyDrive to another location on the same drive. There are no permission restrictions on the mapped network drive.   • Exchange 2003 Internet Mail Size Limits

    I have unsuccessfully tried to increase per user incoming mail size settings by editing their user account settings on our Exchange server, but large incoming mail from external domains is still blocked using the default global settings. After reading here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;322679 I see that All Internet e-mail messages use the global setting for limits on sending and on receiving. The message categorizer evaluates the sender's sending limit and the recipient's receiving limit. In example 2 earlier, a user with a user mailbox limit of 3 MB could receive messages from another user with a 3-MB sending limit. Because Internet users use the global setting, they can send only a 2-MB message. Which to me is madness! Surely if I want to allow a user to receive mail up to a certain size then I should be able to set it as such? Is there a specific way of getting round this? Would setting the global defaults high and setting a lower, say 10MB, limit on the SMTP connector do the trick? Thanks.

    I have already do the test using AbstractDependencyInjectionSpringContextTests and it works but in spring 3 it is deprecated, so I decided to try @ContextConfiguration but spring say that default constructor is not found, I check and the class doesn't have any constructor.     I am using Lubuntu 13.10 (recently upgraded) and am trying to print to a network printer (HP photosmart 7960) through my router (US Robotics 5461). My printer is connected to the router via USB cable. Normally, I would use the cups configuration interface to set up the wireless connection to the printer. I was able to use the printer through the router wirelessly, using Ubuntu 12.04. Now, with my recently upgraded Lubuntu 13.10, I am unable to get the Cups config webpage (http://localhost:631) to come up. In Chromium, I get: This web page is not available. In Firefox, I get: Unable to connect. Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:631. The CUPS config file details are below.     So I am following this tutorial on how to draw a cube in XNA and I ran into a problem. Ok so my shader can only have texture right? I need to have a texture on the front and back of my cube. So I thought I could just have both textures stored in one texture. Problem is I do not know how to map out my UV coords to do so. (I tried dividing by 2 and such with no luck...).   • Windows server 2003 default administrator password

    Sorry if this is an overly simplistic question, but I'm a bit stuck here. :) I need a windows machine for me to do some programming for class. Since I have my Macbook with me everywhere I go, I figured that it would be easiest to install a vm. And since I can get a copy of Windows server 2k3 for free via dreamspark, I thought I'd try to do that. Here's what happened though: I installed windows server (disk one). When the system booted up, vmware automatically installed VMWare tools and prompted me to restart. There was also a prompt to start the installation of disc 2, but I figured it would be better to restart before doing that. When the machine came back up, I was prompted to log in as the administrator. The problem is that I wasn't prompted to make an administrator account or password. Is there a default password I can use? I've tried all the obvious ones (blank, password, etc) and googling, but I didn't come up with anything.
