  • Python PLY zero or more occurrences of a parsing item

    - by None
I am using Python with PLY to parse LISP-like S-Expressions and when parsing a function call there can be zero or more arguments. How can I put this into the yacc code. This is my function so far: def p_EXPR(p): '''EXPR : NUMBER | STRING | LPAREN funcname [EXPR] RPAREN''' if len(p) == 2: p[0] = p[1] else: p[0] = ("Call", p[2], p[3:-1]) I need to replace "[EXPR]" with something that allows zero or more EXPR's. How can I do this?

  • python `IN` module problem (FreeBSD)

    - by Shamanu4
I'm trying to work with sockets and I have such problem In code example: setsockopt(socket.SOL_SOCKET,IN.SO_BINDTODEVICE,self.listen_address+'\0') I have error AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'SO_BINDTODEVICE' On Linux machine this attribute is OK but on FreeBSD trere are no any SO_* attributes in module IN. What port should I install to resolve this problem on FreeBDS machine? Python versions on Linux tested: 2.5.4 and 2.6.4; on FreeBSD: 2.5.5 I can't find anything about this module in my book, and googling keyword IN looks like seamless ...

  • COM library for Explorer-like system views

    - by chrisd
To provide a Windows Explorer-like view of the user's system, we have been using the shell controls from LogicNP (formerly Sky Software), but these have deficiencies, e.g., no support for Win7 libraries. The vendor has not responded to our inquiries about updates, so we're looking to replace the package. Requirements: ActiveX (no managed code or MFC) Tree and list views of the system Per-item checkboxes 32- and 64-bit versions Any recommendations for a replacement product? TIA.

  • Accessing MySQL server via VPN in python

    - by user210481
Hi I have a MySQL server that I need access through a VPN. I use MySQLdb package to access MySQL server in Python. When I can access the server without VPN, it works fine, but when I'm at certain locations, I need to connect through VPN. My computer is connected to the VPN and I can access the database through PHPMyAdmin, but MySQLdb gives me an error message: OperationalError: (2003, "Can't connect to MySQL server on 'MY_IP' (10061)") Any ideas on why it's not working? Thanks

  • Backup of folder + database - Python

    - by RadiantHex
Hi there, I feel like this is quite delicate, I have various folders whith projects I would like to backup into a zip/tar file, but would like to avoid backing up files such as pyc files and temporary files. I also have a Postgres db I need to backup. Any tips for running this operation as a python script? Also, would there be anyway to stop the process from hogging resources in the process? Help would be very much appreciated.

  • How to print source code lines in python logger

    - by anon
Is there some relatively simple way to programmatically include source code lines to python logger report. For example... import logging def main(): something_is_not_right = True logging.basicConfig(level=logging.DEBUG, format=('%(filename)s: ' '%(levelname)s: ' '%(funcName)s(): ' '%(lineno)d:\t' '%(message)s') ) if something_is_not_right == True: logging.debug('some way to get previous line of source code here?') So that output would look like this. example.py: DEBUG: main(): 14: if something_is_not_right == True:

  • Automatic initialization routine in C++ library?

    - by Robert Mason
If i have a header file foo.h and a source file foo.cpp, and foo.cpp contains something along the lines of: #ifdef WIN32 class asdf { asdf() { startup_code(); } ~asdf() { cleanup_code(); } }; asdf __STARTUP_HANDLE__ #else //unix does not require startup or cleanup code in this case #endif but foo.h does not define class asdf, say i have an application bar.cpp: #include "foo.h" //link in foo.lib, foo.dll, foo.so, etc int main() { //do stuff return 0; } If bar.cpp is compiled on a WIN32 platform, will the asdf() and ~asdf() be called at the appropriate times (before main() and at program exit, respectively) even though class asdf is not defined in foo.h, but is linked in through foo.cpp?

  • Importing Python modules without installing - Sybase ASE

    - by Michael
I need to use the Sybase Python module but our SA's won't install because it's not in the repo's. I've downloaded it and placed it on the box and would just like to 'import' or 'include' the module without installing it first. - Is this possible? From the looks of it (Sybase ASE) it needs some type of compilation before use. Is it possible for this type of work around?

    - by gkt.pro
Suppose user enter this string at terminal 123 456 456 //then hit enter How do I scan these three (could be more) numbers in different variables in python Could be something like this: for i in range(1,n) m[i]=#WHAT FUNCTION SHOULD I PUT HERE In c++ we can easily use cin>>m[i] inside above loop to scan the variables. If i use input() or raw_input() , they would scan whole line in single variable.
