  • Why does release mode affect on Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture?

    Hi I have ASP .NET application. I set culture in Application_Begin request: System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = myCulture; System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture = myCulture; When I get current culture from page, it is myCulture in debug mode and it is "en-GB" in release mode. I don't understand why Release mode affects on Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture I use VS2010 and .NET 4.0 Thanks

    Hello, I'd like to rewrite: www.example.com/file.html?username=john&number=1234 To: www.example.com/users/john But I can't figure out how to extract the "username" value from the query string.     I have an application where a Hilbert R-Tree (wikipedia) (citeseer) would seem to be an appropriate data structure. Specifically, it requires reasonably fast spatial queries over a data set that will experience a lot of updates. However, as far as I can see, none of the descriptions of the algorithms for this data structure even mention how to actually calculate the requisite Hilbert Value; which is the distance along a Hilbert Curve to the point. So any suggestions for how to go about calculating this?

    Hi, I'm publishing a ClickOnce application with VS2008, but before every publish I have to switch to Release config manually. This is fine as far as I don't forget to switch. Is there a way to prevent deploying debug builds ? Is there some compiler directive like: #if DEBUG #if ClickOnce #error You cannot publish a debug build #endif #endif Or is there a way (without build scripts) to automatically switch to Release config before publishing ? (I've found some similar questions but didn't like the anwsers on them) Thanks

    I have a C++ application that needs to support binary database content (images, etc). When using MS Access or MS SQL Server this data is wrapped inside an OLE object. How do I strip this OLE header information? Note that I can't just look for the beginning of a specific tag as the content can be png, jpg and a whole heap of other formats. Should I use something like COleDataObject?

    I'm using the Microsoft.SmartDevice.Connectivity features, but I do not know how to get the CoreCon Folder and files under "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\corecon\1.0\1033" deployed as part of an install project. The "new DatastoreManager(1033)" fails becouse users of my app do not have that folder and device xml files. Any Ideas of how to install or deploy those files? I assume I have those as part of an API I've installed, but can not pinpoint the source. Thanks

When attemp to add web service I get next error: The operation could not be complited.An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format But on another machine everything works fine. There is not any error in Java service. I think error in VS. Is anybody have seen this error before?
