    I'm trying to access an object that is linked to by a db.ReferenceProperty in Google app engine. here's the model's code: class InquiryQuestion(db.Model): inquiry_ref = db.ReferenceProperty(reference_class=GiftInquiry, required=True, collection_name="inquiry_ref") And I am trying to access it in the following way: linkedObject = question.inquiry_ref and then linkedKey = linkedObject.key but it's not working. Can anyone please help?

  • Where can I find "reference barcodes" to verify barcode library output?

    This question is not about 'best' barcode library recommendation, we use various products on different platforms, and need a simple way to verify if a given barcode is correct (according to its specification). There are some free online bar code generators in the Internet, and I found many differences between their output and our library output regarding graphics and text field below the code. Now I am not sure which one is wrong, and before filing bug report I want to make sure how the correct barcode should look like. We mainly need Code128 and UCC/EAN-128 with A/B/C subcodes. Which resource would you suggest?

  • Does Postgresql varchar count using unicode character length or ASCII character length?

    I tried importing a database dump from a SQL file and the insert failed when inserting the string Mér into a field defined as varying(3). I didn't capture the exact error, but it pointed to that specific value with the constraint of varying(3). Given that I considered this unimportant to what I was doing at the time, I just changed the value to Mer, it worked, and I moved on. Is a varying field with its limit taking into account length of the byte string? What really boggles my mind is that this was dumped from another PostgreSQL database. So it doesn't make sense how a constraint could allow the value to be written initially.

(Use a string to do this) Counts three things: how many single-character words are in the file, how many short (2 to 5 characters) words are in the file, and how many long (6 or more characters) words are in the file.     I have a data structure with 15 unsigned longs, I have defined a hash function using hash_combine as follows: friend std::size_t hash_value(const TUPLE15& given) { std::size_t seed = 0; boost::hash_combine(seed, val1); boost::hash_combine(seed, val2); ... return seed; } I insert a large number of values into a boost::unordered_map but the performance is not good enough. Probably, I could do better with an alternative hashing function. To confirm this, I need to check how many collisions I am getting. How do I do this?

    Hi all, Trying to help a friend out with a friend out with some assembly code, but I've run into a small problem. I'm trying to work out how I would loop through a 8 bit binary word and check the value of specific bits. I need to check bits 1, 3, 5 & 7 to see if they are 1. i.e. int count = 1; int bitAdd = 0; foreach (var bit in word) { if (count = 1 || count = 3 || count = 5 || count = 7) { bitAdd += 1; } count += 1; } Help is much appreciated.

  • Psycopg2 doesn't like table names that start with a lower case letter

    I am running ActiveState's ActivePython 2.6.5.12 and PostgreSQL 9.0 Beta 1 under Windows XP. If I create a table with an upper case first letter (i.e. Books), psycopg2 returns the "Programming Error: relation "books" does not exist" error message when I run the select statement: execute("SELECT * FROM Books"). The same error is returned if I run: execute("SELECT * FROM books"). However, if I change the table to a lower case first name (i.e. books), then either of the above statements works. Are tables name supposed to have a lower case first name? Is this a setting or a feature or a bug? Am I missing something obvious?

    I am trying to get the Count of all records that have at least on person who is authorized on the record. Basically, a Record can have more than one person associated with it. I want to return the count of Total Records, a count of total Authorized Records where at least 1 person is authorized, and a count of total NotAuthorized records where no person associated with record is authorized. It doesn't matter if one person is authorized per Record or if 3 people are authorized for that record, that should add 1 to the Authorized counter. The current query is incrementing Auth and Non auth for each person added per record rather, than one per record. If no people are assigned to the record that should also count towards Not Auth.   • Is there a reference document for OOTB SharePoint web part interfaces?

    I want my web parts to act as providers and consumers with OOTB SharePoint web parts, including filters. To design these web parts I need to know the interface of the OOTB web parts, eg. a "Links" web part provides an IWebPartRow, with a Type, URL and Notes. I can get the information by: a web part programmed to interact generically, and display the data it receives putting the web parts on a page, and look at the available connections inspecting the DLL's (haven't tried this, because I can't find the DLL's, but I guess it's possible) It seems strange to me that there is no documentation of these interfaces. Is there a Microsoft document, or a book, which documents the OOTB web parts and filters?

  • How can I reference only a portion of a TextArea's htmlText block?

    I have a number of very poor-quality pdf documents that look like 80's photocopies, which I'm rebuilding in Flash (Flex Builder 3 MXML application), representing paragraphs of text in TextAreas so that selected portions can be bold or italic, or whatever I need. I need a way to apply toolTips or event listeners to individual words within the block of text to link those words to a glossary. I'm perfectly happy to create a definition panel that is populated and made visible with a mouseOver, but don't know how to do it to just a portion of the text. Is there a good / clean / easy way to do this?

I'm envisioning something similar to the output of rake routes but in a more friendly, XML type format. If not, about how many fields would a struct need for a big enough advantage using ref this way?

    An XML file is being posted to a url that my spring mvc is responding to. In .NET, I could do this: request.Form[0] request.Form["abc"] or request.QueryString[0] request.QueryString["some_key"] Now with spring/servlets it seems I can only do this: request.getParameter("some_key") or get all the names or values. When someone is posting a file to a url, using http post, won't this be just a single request parameter then? Can I get the parameter using index with servlets?

    I have a survey database with one column for each question and one row for each person who responds. Each question is answered with a value from 1 to 3. Id Quality? I'm making a game in which several characters have relationships with each other and they need to be able to interact with each other and store some relationship data regarding how they feel about each other. I have an object for each character. Is it bad for each of those character objects to have an array of all the other character objects in order to perform these interactions? Is there a better way to do this?
