    I need to get a list of tags in a text, make their contents bold, and remove them. Can't figure out how to make it. E.g. with the following input: foo [b]bar[/b] The result should be: foo bar I use the following code to extract the tags: Dim matches = Regex.Matches(OriginalRich.Text, String.Format("(\[{0}\])(.*?)(\[/{0}\])", tag), RegexOptions.IgnoreCase Or RegexOptions.Compiled) Any help would be appreciated.

  • CouchDB- basic grouping question

    I have a user document which has a group field. This field is an array of group ids. I would like to write a view that returns (groupid as key) - (array of user docs as val). This mapping operation seems like a good beginning. function(doc) { var type = doc.type; var groups = doc.groups; if(type == "user" && groups.length > 0) { for(var i = 0; i < groups.length; i++) { emit(groups[i], doc); } } } But there's obviously something very wrong with my attempt at a reduce: function(key, values, rereduce) { var set = []; var seen = []; for(var i = 0; i < values.length; i++) { var _id = values[i]._id; if(seen.indexOf(_id) == -1) { seen.push(_id); set.push(values[i]); } } return set; } I'm running CouchDB 0.10dev.     Hey everyone, First off, sorry for my noob-ness. Believe me when i say ive been rtfm'ing. Im not lazy, im just dumb (apparently). On the bright side, this could earn someone some easy points here. I'm trying to do a match/replace with a pattern that contains special characters, and running into syntax errors in a Flex 3 app. I just want the following regex to compile... (while also replacing html tags with "") value.replace(/</?\w+((\s+\w+(\s*=\s*(?:".*?"|'.*?'|[^'">\s]+))?)+\s*|\s*)/?>/g, ""); On a side note, the pattern /<.*?/g wouldn't work in cases where there are html entities between tags, like so: <TEXTFORMAT LEADING="2"> <P ALIGN="LEFT"> <FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE="11" COLOR="#4F4A4A" LETTERSPACING="0" KERNING="0"><one</FONT> </P> </TEXTFORMAT><TEXTFORMAT LEADING="2"> <P ALIGN="LEFT"> <FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE="11" COLOR="#4F4A4A" LETTERSPACING="0" KERNING="0">two</FONT> </P> </TEXTFORMAT> The first regex would get both "<one" and "two", but the second would only get "hi" Thanks! Since I am a bit of a newcomer on this, I didn't fully understand their pricing: What happens when a instance is idling with no connections being made. Does it still cost us money?     b'h i will be programmatically importing a text file into a table. i have saved the import steps. i will use this: DoCmd.TransferText(TransferType, SpecificationName, TableName, FileName, HasFieldNames, HTMLTableName, CodePage) to do the import. this is what SpecificationName means: Specification Name The specification name for the set of options that determines how a text file is imported, exported, or linked. For a fixed-width text file, you must either specify a specification name or use a schema.ini file, which should be stored in the same directory as the imported, linked, or exported text file. i do need a specific specification; however i do not know how to specify one. when i manually imported a table, i did save the specifications for my import, however i do not know how to call this in the TransferText. does anyone know how to specify SpecificationName ?
