• Creating a OS X Cocoa App Web View in Xcode 5.0.1

  I created a HTML5 web app that I’m trying to wrap in a web view and submit to the Mac App Store. I’ve done the following: 1) Opened Xcode 5.0.1 and selected “Create a new Xcode project” 2) Under “OS X” I selected “Application” then I selected “Cocoa Application” then “Next” 3) I entered a “Product Name” and a “Company Identifier” then selected “Next” (I left all the other settings untouched) then “Create” 4) Under “General” “Deployment Info” “Deployment Target” I selected 10.6 — because I want the app to be compatible with all versions of OS X that support the Mac App Store 5) I clicked “MainMenu.xib” and selected “Window - My App” 6) From the “Object library” I drug the “Web View” object into my window and made it fill the window size 7) I saved my project and click the Play button in the upper left corner of Xcode The app tries to open but freezes. I don’t get an error in Xcode but it does open “main.m” and highlight “return NSApplicationMain(argc, argv);” in green and says “Thread 1: signal SIGABRT” I was hoping that someone could clarify why this isn’t working? And provide me with the last step to link the web view object? I searched Google and found tutorials for iOS and a few for OS X but for different versions of Xcode.

  Is there any way, in PostgreSQL accessed from Python using SQLObject, to create a temporary table from the results of a cursor? Previously, I had a query, and I created the temporary table directly from the query. I then had many other queries interacting w/ that temporary table. Now I have much more data, so I want to only process 1000 rows at a time or so. However, I can't do CREATE TEMP TABLE ... AS ... from a cursor, not as far as I can see. Is the only thing to do something like: rows = cur.fetchmany(1000); cur2 = conn.cursor() cur2.execute("""CREATE TEMP TABLE foobar (id INTEGER)""") for row in rows: cur2.execute("""INSERT INTO foobar (%d)""" % row) or is there a better way? This seems awfully inefficient.

• Zend Framework: How do I modify/format the form view generated with Zend_Dojo_Form elements

To view this form my view script is: <?php echo $this->form; ?> This all works just fine, with fully functional dojo form elements (datepicker, timepicker, etc) and successfully saving the data. However, now, I want to format the form that is generated with css. Such as grouping some elements and floating left or right, making some input text fields wider/narrower, etc. How? I realize I can modify the view script but it seems like that defeats the purpose of using Zend_Dojo_Form or Zend_Form. Is that a correct assumption?

• C# and ASP.NET MVC: Using #if directive in a view

  Hi all, I've got a conditional compilation symbol I'm using called "RELEASE", that I indicated in my project's properties in Visual Studio. I want some particular CSS to be applied to elements when the RELEASE symbol is defined, and I was trying to do that from the view, but it doesn't seem to be working. My view code looks like this (shortened a bit for demo purposes): <% #if (RELEASE) %> <div class="releaseBanner">Banner text here</div> <% #else %> <div class="debugBanner">Banner text here</div> <% #endif %> With this code, and with the RELEASE symbol set, the 'else' code is running and I'm getting a div with the debugBanner class. So it doesn't seem to think that RELEASE is defined. It's worth noting that my actual C# code in .cs files is recognizing RELEASE and runs the correct code. It's only the view that is giving me the problem. Does anyone have any insight into this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  This is FIrst time i try to create Cocoa Touch Static Library and follow these steps. Create New Project with Cocoa Touch Static Library named it By default i got single class with Demo.h and Demo.m. 2.Create a public function in .h and implement it in .m. 3.Select iOS Device and press cmd + B. 4.Copy Demo.a from products and the .h file drop it in my iOS App where i want to use it. 5.Then Import Demo.h and try to call the function that i wrote. Issue When try to Run the project showing this error. ld: warning: ignoring file /Users/Zenga/Documents/iOS/Static Library/myAppwithLib/Demo.a, file was built for archive which is not the architecture being linked (i386): /Users/Zenga/Documents/iOS/Static Library/myAppwithLib/Demo.a Undefined symbols for architecture i386: "_OBJC_CLASS_$_Demo", referenced from: objc-class-ref in ViewController.o ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture i386 clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) Please help if anyone have any idea about it.

  I'm fairly new to PHP - programming in general. So basically what I need to accomplish is, create an array of x amount of numbers (created randomly) who's value add up to n: Lets say, I have to create 4 numbers that add up to 30. I just need the first random dataset. The 4 and 30 here are variables which will be set by the user. Essentially something like x = amount of numbers; n = sum of all x's combined; create x random numbers which all add up to n; $row = array(5, 7, 10, 8) // these add up to 30 Also, no duplicates are allowed. I need the values with an array. I have been messing around with it sometime, however, my knowledge is fairly limited. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

  I try to to find a solution to do View and Edit of a the item from a tablview. My application base on UITabBarController. Each of the Bar items contain a class with a a couple of UIViews. This is the first items of UITabBarController. I done Add event from Apple sample code: SimpleEKDemo. Add Event working without any problem. I tried to add View and Edit part to the code. I would able to select an items from tableView to edit the selected item. But after I tried to add code from SimpleEKDemo to my code, I realized I have to add UINavigationController to the implement. So I did. After I add that it's came to the items of UITabBarController. Also I even the Add Event didn't worked very well (I couldn't insert event name and location. but edit was working. So I need to know: 1- Is it possible to implement Edit/View without using UINavigationController. If yes please let me know a sample code. 2- If I must use UINavigationController. Because I don't need UINavigationController to become it the first page and I don't need any bar added to my application. • TSQL - create a stored proc inside a transaction statement

  I have a sql script that is set to roll to production. I've wrapped the various projects into separate transactions. In each of the transactions we created stored procedures. I'm getting error messages Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 4 Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'procedure'. I created this example script to illustrate Begin Try Begin Transaction -- do a bunch of add/alter tables here -- do a bunch of data manipulation/population here -- create a stored proc create procedure dbo.test as begin select * from some_table end Commit End Try Begin Catch Rollback Declare @Msg nvarchar(max) Select @Msg=Error_Message(); RaisError('Error Occured: %s', 20, 101,@Msg) With Log; End Catch The error seems to imply that I can't create stored procs inside of transaction, but I'm not finding any docs that say otherwise(maybe google isn't being freindly today).

  I have a custom View Engine that derives from WebFormViewEngine. There's a lot of stuff going on in here, mostly caching. I want to be able to use WebFormViewEngine AND RazorViewEngine at the same time, is this possible? Ideally I'd like to do; ViewEngines.Add(new MyViewEngine<WebFormsViewEngine>()); ViewEngines.Add(new MyViewEngine<RazorViewEngine>()); if a .ascx/.aspx/.master file exists then use WebForms, otherwise use Razor is a .cshtml file exists. EDIT: I should of worded my question better. As my custom view engine derives from WebFormViewEngine it obviously uses WebForms, I can't derive from two classes. I can derive from RazorViewEngine but then I'll loose WebForms. I can duplicate my code entirely, derive from RazorViewEngine and edit the views file extensions, etc. but as I said I've got a lot of custom code in my view engine and would be duplicating hundreds of lines. WebFormViewEngine and RazorViewEngine derive from BuildManagerViewEngine which in turn implements IViewEngine. The problem with that is I have to implement methods CreatePartialView() and CreateView() but how would I know what to return (WebForms/Razor?) using generics?

  I'm getting stuck on an error I'm getting when signing up a new user in Michael Hart's Ruby on Rails Tutorial. I'm new to rails but I've been searching for hours and can't seem to find anything to figure out the issue. Currently, I but a try finally block around everywhere, where I create an object, to free that object after usage (to avoid memory leaks). E.g.: aObject := TObject.Create; try aOBject.AProcedure(); ... finally aObject.Free; end; instead of: aObject := TObject.Create; aObject.AProcedure(); .. aObject.Free; To you think, it is good practice, or too much overhead? And what about the performance?

  I thought I had my postfix configuration all set up on my Amazon Ubuntu server but I guess not. I'm trying to set up an admin email account for 3 virtually hosted Apache websites. • Unable to create new virtual hosts using MAMP with OSX Mavericks

  I have been using virtual hosts on my Mac with MAMP, which has worked up until now. I have 2 working virtual hosts that i created in the same manner, which still work, but for some reason I am unable to create any new virtual hosts. When i attempt to go to a newly crated virtual host in my browser it generates a 404 Not Found error. The only thing i can think of possibly after i updated OSX to Mavericks, but i'm not sure what that would have done, or why the old virtual hosts still work. See excerpt below from vhosts.conf file. (Even i restarted the pc) When I go to the site1.com, It will say The connection has timed out Error Message. But I can browse via localhost/site1.com. I have been trying since last two days. No solution. And followed many articles and videos.

• Importing csv list of contacts into Exchange 2007 GAL and create Distribution Group

  Here's the situation: We have a list of about 1,000 contacts (Lawyers in the area our court serves) with name and email address. I've been asked to create an email distribution list that can be used to sent emails to all of the external users on that list. I've seen various articles using the Exchange Management Shell and the Import-csv command piped through a ForEach-Object to a New-MailContact to set up the contacts. However, Exchange Management Shell is rather unhelpful, and it isn't working. What I believe I need to do is: 1) Set up a new distribution group using the Exchange Management Console. Let's say this new distribution group (which appears in the list of Distribution Groups under Recipient Configuration) is called "FloridaBar". 2) Make sure I have a csv file of the information I want to import. 3) Open Exchange Management Shell, and enter the following command: Import-csv C:\filename.csv | ForEach-Object { New-MailContact -Name $."NameColumnName" -ExternalEmailAddress $."EmailAddressColumn" -org FloridaBar Now, creating 1,000+ contacts in active directory - I assume that shouldn't be an issue. Do I have the "-org" parm wrong? Do I need to spell out the complete organization unit name (my.domain.name/Users/FloridaBar)? Is there a better way of doing this? Thanks in advance Ken
