Not sure this is possible, but Looking to write a script that would return the average hex or rgb value for an image. I know it can be done in AS but looking to do it in JavaScript.
I'm looking at the google maps api tutorial
and i see this
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.google.com/jsapi?autoload={'modules':[{name:'maps', version:3,other_params:'sensor=false'}]}"></script>
Why is modules in single quotes?
I want to run a javascript snippet inside the <head> tag. Is that possible to do that in Selenium RC+Java?
I understood that if I use getEval or runScript that will insert the code inside the HTML body.
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Is there any API or a jQuery plugin that allow me to highlight a code on my website?
For example
<pre code="c#">
var x = new StringBuilder();
var complex = new Complex();
</pre>
<script type="text/javascript">
$("pre[code]").codehighlight({ language: "c#" });
</script>
Something like that?
I am new to the lower level useful functions of JavaScript, and I find myself needing to compare two date objects, but within an hourly range. For example, if Date1 is less then two hours until (or from) Date2. How could this be done?

I'm working on a web based form builder that uses a mix of Jquery and PHP server side interaction. While the user is building the form I'm trying to determine the best method to store each of one of the form items before all the data is sent to the server. I've looked at the following methods
Javascript arrays
XML document
Send each form item to the server side to be stored in a session
Hi,
I'd like to mimick iPhone main screen in JavaScript on Safari / Chrome / Firefox.
By mimicking I mean:
- Having a couple of pages
- Switching between the pages by clicking & dragging / swiping with my mouse
- Having those dots from the bottom iPhone main screen displaying which page it is
The closest to what I want is:
http://jquery.hinablue.me/jqiphoneslide/
But the sliding doesn't work nearly as good as in iPhone (i have to slide first, and the animation appears after i release the mouse button), and there are no dots at the bottom.
Is there any API or a jQuery plugin that allow me to highlight a code on my website?
For example
<pre code="c#">
var x = new StringBuilder();
var complex = new Complex();
</pre>
<script type="text/javascript">
$("pre[code]").codehighlight({ language: "c#" });
</script>
Something like that?
Hi,
I need to run a javascript function when the update panel is loaded completely(I want to scroll), and not on initial page load.
Please suggest.
Thanks
I'd like to create a JavaScript web app that makes blocks appear on the page that can be dragged around by the user. If I used DIVs with background colors, it would be easy to rotate them by 90 degrees at a time.
However, if I wanted to rotate them arbitrarily, how could I accomplish this? I'd rather not have to resort to Flash, images, or HTML5.
How come this pop-up gets a size other than what I have specified, when testing it in IE6 and FireFox 3.6? Firefox displays it correctly but IE6 is smaller for some reason. (620x530 instead) How can I fix it?
<A id="myID" onclick="window.open('/sitecollectiondocuments/myPage.htm', 'welcome','width=630,height=590')" href="javascript:void(0)"></A>
Hi,
Is there anyway in JavaScript which emulate user clicks an anchor?
Mozilla(Firefox ) does not implement that.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/DOM/element.click
But is there any browser which does?
I was given this chunk of code to place in my html page but I know nothing about javascript so I have no idea where to place it and what kind of tag to place it in.
Can someone please help me.
Thanks

Is this bar appearing in Chrome when the language is different causing issues to your websites ?

My javascript doesn't work anymore as before. It is quite annoying

Django-compress is great, but it doesn't offer any tags for compressing in-page javascript.
Are there some solutions out there? Even removing newlines (and adding ";" where needed) would be just great.
