  • Multiple certs with one private key on apache?

    Really fundamental question here, but nothing a quick google search is lending itself to. Do I need to generate a separate private key for each cert I use in apache?     Hi! I have an Android TextView where the view itself is limited to four lines. If the text exceeds this limit I want the end of the view to end with something like .. <-- to notify that there is more text here so you can click and open in fullscreen for example. Not just suddenly stop in the middle of a sentence. Is there a quick fix for this?

  • Resize image to 100% height of a div and keep aspect ratio

    Here is a quick sketch. I would like to achieve that images in the gallery div will be 100% of the height of the gallery div and keep the aspect ratio AND that images would resize as you would change the size of browser.   • Should I use "return;" after a header()?

    Quick question, I noticed that on some of my header directors I was getting some lag while the header processed. Is using return standard after using headers? Also if you use a header on pages you don't want directly accessed, such as processing pages will return; stop that processing even if the page is not directly accessed? IF return is a good idea would it be better to use exit()?

  • Cisco VPN error 403: Unable to contact the security gateway

    I'm trying to make a connection via Cisco VPN Client (version is 5.0.07.0290), but i get the below mentioned error. I have to say that i'm using Windows 8. "Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 403: Unable to contact the security gateway." I've tried several fixes, but none of them worked. The display name in regedit is the correct, and my certificates are ok as well. If i switch to TCP (the default is UDP) i get error 414. Firewall is off. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

  • Zimbra server status showing red in control panel

    I have been having a weird problem with Zimbra(7.1.4_GA_2555.DEBIAN5) lately: On the (web)control panel the status keep changing to red every few days. When this is happens the output of zmcontrol status still shows running: antispam Running antivirus Running imapproxy Running ldap Running logger Running mailbox Running memcached Running mta Running snmp Running spell Running stats Running zmconfigd Running Every thing runs fine except automated mail forwarding from one account to another(which is critical for us). I have been through Zimbra forums and the following ALWAYS fixes the issue: su - zimbra -c "zmprov mcf zimbraLogHostname mail.mydomain.com" /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsyslogsetup /etc/init.d/rsyslog restart su - zimbra -c "zmcontrol restart" After I run the above commands, the status on control panel turns green and mail forwarding starts to work again BUT only for a few days. Other than the above, everything works fine including Server statistics. Anyone seen this issue before?

    I read about the CRIME attack against TLS Compression (CRIME is a successor to the BEAST attack against ssl & tls), and I want to protect my webservers against this attack by disabling SSL Compression, which was added to Apache 2.2.22 (See Bug 53219). I am running Scientific Linux 6.1, which ships with httpd-2.2.15.   • What's the significance of this Google Apps error code '0x8004010B' ?

    There seems to be a lack of good information around this particular Google Apps error code. Has anyone found common environmental information that causes this error? Any kind of solution? Uninstalling/re-installing Google Sync doesn't seem to do anything, I've run Outlook's executable that scans/fixes the PST file etc. Task 'Google Apps - ::user email address:: - Sending' reported error (0x8004010B) : 'Unknown Error 0x8004010B' I found a listing of error codes for the Gdata API but nothing for these types of 'unknown' error codes. Does Google have available a list of common 'unknown' error codes/messages? Thanks in advance.

  • VMWare server host agent service won't start

    I'm using VMWare Server 2.0 on Windows Server 2003 R2. Sometimes after restarting the host machine, the VMWare host agent service won't start due to an error. This is the error messages from Event Viewer: [Service control manager] Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the VMware Host Agent service to connect. [Service control manager] The VMware Host Agent service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. I've set the service to automatically restart after subsequent failure using services.msc (using a 10 min. delay), but it still won't start. Only starting the service manually seems to work. Has anyone experienced this before? What workarounds or fixes are there?

    A strange problem began occurring after applying MOSS2 (KB953334) and the August 2009 cumulative update to our Project server. When a user enters the 'Task Update' screen they are prompted to download a new ActiveX control. Upon refresh, and subsequent access attempts, the user is presented with a blank grid with the caption 'Loading Grid...' We have attempted to fix this issue by updating the 'Trusted Sites' list and changing the security settings according to KB818046. However, nothing seems to definitely fix the problem. Also, when the problem randomly fixes itself, it still occurs when viewing specific projects. Any ideas on a fix?

  • CheckPoint Endpoint Security VPN client co-existing with Windows VPN

    Hey guys, I work as a consultant for a firm with a Checkpoint firewall. I have downloaded and installed the Checkpoint Endpoint Security VPN client. During the installation, I answered no to any questions pertaining firewall etc. - I just wanted the VPN client itself. However, after the installation, I am no longer able to use any of my pre-existing Windows VPN client connections. It does not matter whether the Checkpoint UI is running or not - shutting down the client does not fix the problem. Uninstalling Checkpoint VPN on the other hand fixes the problem. Does anyone know if it is possible to have both VPN clients work while being installed simultaneously? I don't need them to stay connected simultaneously, just avoiding to install/uninstall the Checkpoint client every time I have to use it is perfectly good. Thanks!

  • Apple File Sharing fails to connect

    Running OSX Lion Server (10.7.4), and about once a week or so the Apple File Sharing service stops letting clients connect to its shares. On the client we will see a dialog box stating "There was a problem connecting to the server ". Browsing the server we simply no longer see the shares. The clients are also running the latest OSX (10.7.4) In /var/log/system.log we see entries like the following: Jun 26 08:38:22 w3 AppleFileServer[20511]: received message with invalid client_id 157 Jun 26 08:42:11 w3 AppleFileServer[20511]: received message with invalid client_id 165 Jun 26 08:42:21 w3 AppleFileServer[20511]: received message with invalid client_id 174 Where 20511 appears to be the pid, and client_id appears to be incremented with each failed attempt. Nothing jumps out at me from /Library/Logs/AppleFileService/AppleFileService[Access|Error].log Restarting the service fixes the problem: serveradmin stop afp && serveradmin start afp So I added a script to do this daily using the periodic service. But, we still encounter this problem about once a a week.

Has anyone experienced this and is there some setting that fixes this? I've uninstalled Flash from the system otherwise (Chrome bundles it) so I only use chrome for Flash games, and as a plus the other browsers are quite solid without Flash.

  • Ubuntu Server - Power failure leads to boot failure

    I have installed Ubuntu Server 10.04.1 LTS on an ext4 partition. Whenever my system looses power suddenly, It doesn't boot into the normal procedure to fix the problems automatically, but switches to the busy box shell (where it says Kernel Panic : No init found) So I guess kernel is refusing to mount the filesystem when it is not clean, since when I boot up using a Live CD and fsck it, it boots up correctly. How can I force kernel to mount the filesystem, even if it is not clean ?, so that automated fsck on system startup fixes the problems... (or it's a grub problem ?)     Microsoft released an update for Windows 7 today: KB980408: The April 2010 stability and reliability update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is available. The update fixes, among other things: Windows Explorer may stop responding for 30 seconds when a file or a directory is created or renamed after certain applications are installed. i'm not experiencing it on my own Windows 7 machine, but two colleagues at work were experiencing the problem. i would really like to know what applications were causing problems. Microsoft will never call out the misbehaving applications. i want to know what software i should be ridiculing and insulting. And avoid in the future. Did anyone who was experiencing this problem isolate the applications?

  • Windows 8 asks DotNet 3.5 to install DotNet 3.5

    While trying to install some tools in Windows 8, it showed me a nice message saying it requires DotNet framework. Well, it's fine. But the bad part is I have offline installers for v2.0 and v3.5. While I'm trying to install those installers it shows me the same message as it shows above. I can't consider the web installer, because I don't want to download around 100MB. The file I have works fine for other versions like Windows 7 or XP. Any fixes?

  • Logfiles go blank after logrotate rotates them.

    I have an ubuntu 8.04 LTS server that runs openvpn. The openvpn server writes to a standard logfile under /var/log and prior to a month ago logrotate would automatically rotate the files and compress them. The files are still being rotated however the new logfile (ovpn.log) is empty. Restarting the openvpn daemon fixes the issue (ie: openvpn writes status events to the file) but after about 10 days the file is rotated again openvpn can't write to the logfile again. This is also strange because logrotate is set to rotate every 6 months. Openvpn runs as nobody and the logfiles are owned by root and admin which is strange because it should either work at all times or not work at all if the permissions are the cause, unless openvpn runs as root temporarily and then drops down to nobody after initializing ?

  • Bluetooth device won't re-add after being removed (Windows 7)

    I've got a SBH52 headset, it works fine on my android phone, then I tried to use it with my Windows 7 PC, then it won't work because Microsoft Windows dosen't have native support for A2DP connections and one of the answers on the previous link said that removing the device from "devices and printers", running this software and then re-add the device would solve the problem. But the big problem is that they won't pair again: I tried, hopelessly, the suggested fixes from Windows, it won't work. By the way, it is Windows 7 (x64), it just looks like Windows 8. I had this problem once many years ago with other PC and Bluetooth device, I remember it had something to do with drivers that were not removed and I tried to delete them from somewhere, and as far as I remember it worked, but no idea how. In short, how can I pair it again with my PC?
