    Hi I am not sure why I am having this problem, maybe I am using the check_box_tag incorrectly. I have a form that is used to send an email message. You are supposed to be able to choose one or more boxes that represent different groups of people. <%= check_box_tag (:bcc_email, value = @spouses) %> <%= f.label :bcc_email, "Company Spouses" %><br /> <%= check_box_tag (:bcc_email, value = @soldiers) %> <%= f.label :bcc_email, "Company Soldiers" %><br /> The values are an array of email addresses. Those work fine, I have had them functioning as drop down menus for sometime. When I look at the HTML page source the values are there, they are just not being passed along with the create method. Any ideas?

  • Silverlight MVVM Confusion: Updating Image Based on State

    I'm developing a Silverlight application and I'm trying to stick to the MVVM principals, but I'm running into some problems changing the source of an image based on the state of a property in the ViewModel. For all intents and purposes, you can think of the functionality I'm implementing as a play/pause button for an audio app. When in the "Play" mode, IsActive is true in the ViewModel and the "Pause.png" image on the button should be displayed. When paused, IsActive is false in the ViewModel and "Play.png" is displayed on the button. Naturally, there are two additional images to handle when the mouse hovers over the button. I thought I could use a Style Trigger, but apparently they're not supported in Silverlight. I've been reviewing a forum post with a question similar to mine where it's suggested to use the VisualStateManager. While this might help with changing the image for hover/normal states, the part missing (or I'm not understanding) is how this would work with a state set via the view model. The post seems to apply only to events rather than properties of the view model. Having said that, I also haven't successfully completed the normal/hover affects, either. Below is my Silverlight 4 XAML.   • Cant set drop down list selected value in page load

    Hi, I'm trying to set the selected value of a ddl during page load ie. before databind. This causes "selected value does not exist" errors. So I force a databind, and add a new element if it does not exist in the data source. However it looks like when the databind is performed later in the page lifecycle that my added element(s) are removed/overwritten. Am I setting the values in the wrong part of the life cycle? what I'm doing seems rather hackish and I think im going about this the wrong way... is there a better way to do this?

According to mysql manual you can restart the value of an auto increment column like this: mysql ALTER TABLE tbl AUTO_INCREMENT = 100; However, this is not possible: mysql ALTER TABLE tb2 AUTO_INCREMENT = (SELECT MAX(id) FROM tbl1); I need to perform something like this because I'm filling the tables using a script. Is there another way to achieve it?

  • WPF, Setting property with single value on multiple subcontrols

    I have a parent contentcontrol which displays data via a datatemplate. The datatemplate contains a stackpanel with several usercontols of the same type. I like to set the property only once on the parent control, it must set the value of the property on all the subcontrols. But if there is a way to do it on the stackpanel it's also OK. The template can be changed at runtime and the values need also to be propagated to the new template. My current solution is to implement the property on both parent and subcontrol and use code to propagate the value from the parent to all the subcontrols. My question is: is there a better or other ways of doing this?

    I have an MDI Parent, containing a MenuStrip. When I click on one of the Menu, two Child Forms are displayed simultaneoulsy. I have a TextBox and a Send Button on one of my ChildForm. When I type-in something in that TextBox and Click the Send Button, I need to show that value in the TextBox of my Second Child Form. What I had done is, I wrote a Public Function in the Second Child Form and tried to invoke it by creating an object of Second Form, on the Send Button click event. When I put break points, in that Public Function, I find that the control is flowing through that Public function on cliking the Send button. But the passed value is not displayed. And, I know that is not the standard way to do that. Any sample script for help? Thanks.

The error occurs because one of the fields in the database has no value (null), so the string property could not handle it. How can i convert this null to string?     I have a text field who's value is populated from a SQL recordset (below). <input name="txtAmount" id="txtAmount" type="text" size="10" maxlength="10" value="<%=RS("Amount")%>"> In the SQL table, the Amount field (which is a money data type) is inserted correctly, as 5.00 However, in the web page, it displays only as 5 (i.e. the decimal places are missing). Anyone know why this might be and how I can get the decimal places to display in the field? Thanks!

    Is there a way to reassign Makefile variable value inside of the target body? What I am trying to do is to add some extra flags for debug compilation: %.erl: %.beam $(ERLC) $(ERLFLAGS) -o ebin $< test: clean debug_compile_flag compile compile_test debug_compile: $(ERLCFLAGS) += -DTEST So if I invoke test target I would like to clean up my environment, add some new flags (like -DTEST to the existing ones), compile the whole code once again (first sources, then test modules). I do not want to copy/paste the code for compiling with some new flags set since there is a lot of logic put here and there. Is there some easy way to redefine the variable value so I can reuse the existing code?

Requirement: Whatever value in col1, I need to retrive it in 5 char length concatenate with leading '0' to make it 5 char long. Technique I applied: select right(('00000' + col1),5) from table1; I didn't see any reason, why it doesn't work? but it didn't. Can anyone help me, how I can achieve the desired result?

What I'm doing: 1- open a page with a number that will probably be large 2- get the X Path to where that number is and store it to a variable 3- do a javascript to compare the above stored variable to see if it is bigger than 10, if so, set a new varaible to true; else false (because that is the default value) 4- verify the variable in #3 is true Sounds simple enough, no? Where it goes wrong: At step 3, comparing the variable from step #2 to 10 isn't allowed, at least not the way I'm writing it. Why? Could anyone adivse me a hint that how do I or can I change the HTTP request's content-type value? thanks a lot. btw, is there any good documentation that I can study JavaScript's XMLHttpRequest's encoding handling?

  • Fade out text value inside of text field using jQuery

    I am not entirely sure if this is possible or not, I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to jQuery and JavaScript in general, but this one has me stumped. I've created a simple plugin that clears a text input on focus and then displays the default value if nothing has been entered. Is it possible to fade out just the text itself inside of the text input, and not the whole field itself? All attempts seem to result in the text field itself fading out and eventually hiding the element from view. I did come up with a solution of using spans containing the default value and absolutely positioning them over the text input, hiding and showing them depending if a user has entered any text or not. I would much rather a much straightforward approach if one exists.

When I update this row I changed the starttime to the current time (getdate()) and have no issues. I am running a Windows Service each day at 1am to modify a value in the row. I would like to know the status of my row at 4/6/2012 11:59 pm when my service runs. There is no need to do an update at 4/6/2012 11:59 pm and the last update may be at any time of the day however my requirement is to get the status value at 4/6/2012 11:59 pm. I would like to have the query in SQL Server 2008. Can anyone please help me to find a solution?

    I've got a PostgreSQL 8.4 table with an auto-incrementing, but nullable, integer column. I want to update some column values and, if this column is NULL then set it to its default value (which would be an integer auto-generated from a sequence), but I want to return its value in either case. So I want something like this: UPDATE mytable SET incident_id = COALESCE(incident_id, DEFAULT), other = 'somethingelse' WHERE ... RETURNING incident_id Unfortunately, this doesn't work - it seems that DEFAULT is special and cannot be part of an expression. What's the best way to do this?
