Zend_Nav in zend framework issue getting menu to show up

Hi ! First time of here, so please bare with me. I have to following problem, using zend framework, specifically zend_nav to create a reusable menu to be passed in via the layout/layout.phtml page. handling long running large transactions with perl dbi

I've got a large transaction comprising of getting lots of data from database A, do some manipulations with this data, then inserting the manipulated data into database B. I've only got permissions to select in database A but I can create tables and insert/update etc in database B. The manipulation and insertion part is written in perl and already in use for loading data into database B from other data sources, so all that's required is to get the necessary data from database A and using it to initialize the perl classes. How can I go about doing this so I can easily track back and pick up from where the error happened if any error occurs during the manipulation or insertion procedures (database disconnection, problems with class initialization because of invalid values, hard disk failure etc...)? Doing the transaction in one go doesn't seem like a good option because the amount data from database A means it would take at least a day or 2 for data manipulation and insertion into database B. The data from database A can be grouped into around 1000 groups using unique keys, with each key containing 1000s of rows each. One way I thought I could do is to write a script that does commits per group, meaning I've got to track which group has already been inserted into database B. The only way I can think of to track the progress of which groups have been processed or not is either in a log file or in a table in database B. A second way I thought could work is to dump all the necessary fields needed for loading the classes for manipulation and insertion into a flatfile, read the file to initialize the classes and insert into database B. This also means that I got to do some logging, but should narrow it down to the exact row in the flatfile if any error occurs. Both these methods is just variations on the same theme, and both require going back to where I've been tracking my progress (in table or file), skip the ones that've been commited to database B and process the remaining data. I'm sure there's a better way of doing this but am struggling to think of other solutions. Is there another way of handling large transactions between databases that require data manipulation between getting data out from one and inserting into another? The process doesn't need to be all in Perl, as long as I can reuse the perl classes for manipulating and inserting the data into the database.

I need to display a real time data from MS SQL 2005. I saw some blogs that recommend Ajax to solve my problem. Basically, right now I have my default.aspx page only just for a workaround I could able to display the data from my DB. But once I add data manually to my DB there's no updating made. Any suggestions guys to fix this problem? I need to update datagridview with out refreshing the page. TripleDES in Perl/PHP/ColdFusion

Recently a problem arose regarding hooking up an API with a payment processor who were requesting a string to be encrypted to be used as a token, using the TripleDES standard. Our Applications run using ColdFusion, which has an Encrypt tag - that supports TripleDES - however the result we were getting back was not what the payment processor expected. First of all, here is the resulting token the payment processor were expecting. Seeking a solution, we ditched ColdFusion for this process and attempted to reproduce the token in PHP. Now I'm aware that various languages implement encryption in different ways - for example in the past managing encryption between a C# application and PHP back-end, I've had to play about with padding in order to get the two to talk, but my experience has been that PHP generally behaves when it comes to encryption standards. Anyway, on to the PHP source we tried, and the resulting string. /* PHP Circus (here be Elephants) */ $theKey="123412341234123412341234"; $theString="username=test123"; $strEncodedEnc=base64_encode(mcrypt_ecb (MCRYPT_3DES, $theKey, $theString, MCRYPT_ENCRYPT)); /* resulting string(strEncodedEnc): sfiSu4mVggia8Ysw98x0uw== */ As you can plainly see, we've got another string that differs from both the string expected by the payment processor AND the one produced by ColdFusion. Cue head-against-wall integration techniques. After many to-and-fro communications with the payment processor (lots and lots of reps stating 'we can't help with coding issues, you must be doing it incorrectly, read the manual') we were finally escalated to someone with more than a couple of brain-cells to rub together, who was able to step back and actually look at and diagnose the issue. He agreed, our CF and PHP attempts were not resulting in the correct string. After a quick search, he also agreed that it was not neccesarily our source, but rather how the two languages implemented their vision of the TripleDES standard. Coming into the office this morning, we were met by an email with a snippet of source code, in Perl. Three languages, three implementations of what they quote in the documentation as TripleDES Standard Encryption, and three totally different resulting strings. My question is, from your experience of these three languages and their implementations of the TripleDES algorithm, have you been able to get any two of them to give the same response, and if so what tweaks to the code did you have to make in order to come to the result? I understand this is a very drawn out question, but I wanted to give clear and precise setting for each stage of testing that we had to perform. I'll also be performing some more investigatory work on this subject later, and will post any findings that I come up with to this question, so that others may avoid this headache.

I am using the below piece of XSL to select the id of the text nodes whose content has a given index. This index value in input will be relative to a spcified node whose id value is known. The criteria to select the text node is, The text node content should contain a index say 'i' relative to node say 'n' whose id value i know. 'i' and 'id of n' is got as index and nodeName from the input param as seen in the xsl. Node 'd1e5' has the text content whose index ranges from 1 to 33. InputText inside Primefaces dataTable is not refreshed

I need to have inputTexts inside datatable when form is in editable mode. Everything works properly except form cleaning with immediate="true" (without form validation). Then primefaces datatable behaves unpredictable. After filling in datatable with new data - it still stores old values. Try to change data in inputTexts in p:dataTable and h:dataTable 2. Clear data of list (arrayList of string) - click "clear" button (imagine that you click cancel on form because you don't want to store data to database) 3. Load new data - click "update" button (imagine that you are openning new form with new data) Question: Why p:dataTable with p:inputText still stores manually changed data, not the loaded ones? Is there any way to force p:dataTable to behaving like h:dataTable in this case?

Demantra 7.3.1.3 Controlling MDP_MATRIX Combinations Assigned to Forecasting Tasks Using TargetTaskSize

New 7.3.1.3 parameter: TargetTaskSize Old parameter: BranchID Multiple, deprecated 7.3.1.3 onwards Parameter Location: Parameters > System Parameters > Engine > Proport Default: 0 Engine Mode: Both Details: Specifies how many MDP_MATRIX combinations the analytical engine attempts to assign to each forecasting task. Allocation will be affected by forecsat tree branch size. TaskTargetSize is automcatically calculated. It holds the perferred branch size, in number of combinations in the lowest level. This parameter is adjusted to a lower value for smaller schemas, depending on the number of available engines. - As the forecast is generated the engine goes up the tree using max_fore_level and not top_level -1. Max_fore_level has to be less than or equal to top_level -1. Due to this requirement, combinations falling under the same top level -1 member must be in the same task. A member of the top level -1 of the forecast tree is known as a branch. An engine task is therefore comprised of one or more branches. - Reveal current task size go to Engine Administrator --> View --> Branch Information and run the application on your Demantra schema. This will be deprecated in 7.3.1.3 since there is no longer a means of adjusting the brach size directly. The focus is now on proper hierarchy / forecast design. - Control of tasks The number of tasks created is the lowest of number of branches, as defined by top level -1 members in forecast tree, and engine sessions and the value of TargetTaskSize. You are used to using the branch multiplier in this calculation. As of 7.3.1.3, the branch ID multiple is deprecated. - Discovery of current branch size To resolve this you must review the 2nd highest level in the forecast tree (below highest/highest) as this is the level which determines the size of the branches. If a few resulting tasks are too large it is recommended that the forecast tree level driving branches be revised or at times completely removed from the forecast tree. - Control of foreacast tree branch size - Run the following sql to determine how even the branches are being split by the engine: select count(*),branch_id from mdp_matrix where prediction_status = 1 and do_fore = 1 group by branch_id; This will give you an understanding if some of the individual branches have an unusually large number of rows and thus might indicate that the engine is not efficiently dividing up the parallel tasks. - Based on the results of this sql, we may want to adjust the branch id multiplier and/or the number of engines (both of these settings are found in the Engine Administrator) select count(*), level_id from mdp_matrix where prediction_status = 1 and do_fore = 1 group by level_id; This will give us an understanding at which level of the Forecast tree where the forecast is being generated. Having a majority of combinations higher on the forecast tree might indicate either a poorly designed forecast tree and/or engine parameters that are too strict Based on the results of this we would adjust the Forecast Tree to see if choosing a different hierarchy might produce a forecast, with more combinations, at a lower level. For example: - Review the 2nd highest level in the forecast tree, below highest/highest, as this is the level which determines the size of the branches. - If a few resulting tasks are too large it is recommended that the forecast tree level driving branches be revised or at times completely removed from the forecast tree. - For example, if the highest level of the forecast tree is set to Brand/All Locations. - You have 10 brands but 2 of the brands account for 67% and 29% of all combinations. - There is a distinct possibility that the tasks resulting from these 2 branches will be too large for a single engine to process. Some possible solutions could be to remove the Brand level and instead use a different product grouping which has a more even distribution, possibly Product Group. - It is also possible to add a location dimension to this forecast tree level, for example Customer. This will also reduce forecast tree branch size and will deliver a balanced task allocation. - A correctly configured Forecast Tree is something that is done by the Implementation team and is not the responsibility of Oracle Support. Allocation will be affected by forecast tree branch size. When TargetTaskSize is set to 0, the default value, the system automatically calculates a value for 'TargetTaskSize' depending on the number of engines. - QUESTION: Does this mean that if TargetTaskSize is 1, we use tree branch size to allocate branches to tasks instead of automatically calculating the size? ANSWER: DEV Strongly recommends that the setting of TargetTaskSize remain at the DEFAULT of ZERO (0). - How to control the number of engines? Determine how many CPUs are on the machine(s) that is (are) running the engine. As mentioned earlier, the general rule is that you should designate 2 engines per each CPU that is available. So for example, if you are running the engine on a machine that has 4 CPU then you can have up to 8 engines designated in the Engine Administrator. In this type of architecture then instead of having one 'localhost' in your Engine Settings Screen, you would have 'localhost' repeated eight times in this field. Where do I set the number of engines? To add multiples computers where engine will run, please do a back-up of Settings.xml file under Analytical Engines\bin\ folder, then edit it and add there the selected machines. Example, this will allow 3 engines to start: - <Entry> <Key argument="ComputerNames" /> <Value type="string" argument="localhost,localhost,localhost" /> </Entry Otherwise, if there are no additional engines defined, the calculated value of 'TargetTaskSize' is used. (Oracle does not recommend changing the default value.) The TargetTaskSize holds the engines prefered branch size, in number of level 1 combinations. - Level 1 combinations, known as group size The engine manager will use this parameter to attempt creating branches with similar size. * The engine manager will not create engines that do not have a branch. The engine divider algorithm uses the value of 'TargetTaskSize' as a system-preferred branch size to create branches that are more equal in size which improves engine performance. The engine divider will try to add as many tasks as possible to an existing branch, up to the limit of 'TargetTaskSize' level 1 combinations, before adding new branches. Getting 500 Error when trying to access Rails application through Apache2

Hey, I'm using Apache2 as proxy and mongrel_cluster as server for my Rails applications. When I try to access it by typing in the url I get a 500 "Internal Server Error" but when try to locally access the website with "lynx http://localhost:8200" it works. I keep getting a "Security header is empty" message. The header is followed by a number of dashes. My issue is that, in the data, you see a number of entries where the cease time is NULL i.e event is still active. All such entries must go i.e for each element where the alarm cease time is NULL, the start time, the cease time(in this case NULL) and the actual element must be deleted from the file. In the remaining data, all the text starting from word SubNetwork upto BtsSiteMgr= must also go. Along with the headers and the dashes. How come my form input sometimes moves when I refresh the page?

On a page that I'm designing I have a form with one input of type text. Normally, this form and input render properly in my browser, Chrome, but occasionally, it renders about 20 pixels to the left of where it is supposed to be. When I refresh the page, it goes back to the original, correct place. I have only tested in Chrome so far, so this isn't a cross-browser issue (it happens in the same browser). Is there anything wrong with my code below? Image Resizing: Poor jpeg quality and black PNG backgrounds

Hello, I have two issues with my class, basically the quality of the jpeg images is quite poor, but I'm not sure if thats down to my ratio resizing. Ideally I'd like this class to be strict with image sizes and crop into them, but I cant get my head around it.
