  • Auto Size Embed Code

    - by Belgin Fish
Hey, I'm just wondering what code I could use to auto change the size of the video being embedded before it gets displayed. Example, I need to have it find all instances of this width="any value" height="any value" and replace them with this width="540" height="405"

  • What's the difference between <% and <%:

    - by Blub
Hi, I couldn't find anything through Google, I suppose the search terms are too much to handle. The VS built-in help only explains <%, which is just embedded code. There is no mention of <%: EDIT: My book says, that the only difference is that <%: returns a MvcHtmlString. Why do we need an extra symbol for <%: just to return something? Thanks for any help! It would really help me to understand asp.net.

  • Lambda functions

    - by Oden
Hey, I'm really interested in the way of using lambda functions. Does it make sense to use them in a high-level programming language? If yes, why? Is this really just a function embedded in a function (like this) or is there more behind?

  • Reliable email encoding.

    - by Seba Illingworth
What are the most reliable encodings for sending email? I had some problems recently with .NET's System.Net.Mail default of quoted-printable ('=0D=0A' scattered throughout the message). So I changed to iso-8859-1 for the body (set via alternative views), and 7bit for transfer (and base64 for embedded resources). Are there the better choices?

  • Nowaday C++ projects for Windows

    - by Andrew Florko
Please, describe nowadays projects you took part in where C++ platform was preferred to .net where .net runtime could be installed. Some of my friends works in SCADA area. They have to program microcontrollers with Linux Embedded and so on. So my friends have nearly no choice in programming tools. But when you had, why did you prefer C++ ?

  • Modifying groovy code at runtime in grails application

    - by parasjain01
When I run my grails application using embedded jetty server(tomcat for grails 1.2), I can make changes to my controllers, services and other java files on-the-fly at runtime without restarting the application. How can I achieve the same functionality on my application deployed on Tomcat(or any server) for that matter. I have observed the exploded war folder under webapps has gsp files but not the groovy files.

  • How can I make my Video play as soon as the page loads

    - by bill
im lost here, need some help for something probably very simple: I have embedded a swf object to play an flv file. i want the video to play as soon as the page loads rather than requiring the viewer/user to have to click the play button to see the video. I'm not sure if it is the swf file, the script or the javascipt file that has to be edited, and with what code. thanks

  • Extern variable at specific address

    - by AndiNo
Using C++ and GCC, can I declare an extern variable that uses a specific address in memory? Something like int key attribute((__at(0x9000))); AFAIK this specific option only works on embedded systems. If there is such an option for use on the x86 platform, how can I use it?

  • Is it possible to add layers to .tiff images with .NET?

    - by Voyta
Are there any .NET libraries etc. which allow adding layers (with text) to .tiff images? Something like annotations, so that it would be possible to separate them from image afterwards. I tried DotImage - it allows to add annotations, save them as embedded into image and load them afterwards, but no one other image viewer seems to recognize that they are there.
