  • How do I add missing dictionaries for aspell?

    - by Ahmed
Aspell version: $ aspell -v @(#) International Ispell Version 3.1.20 (but really Aspell 0.60.6) Dump dict yields no results: $ aspell dump dicts First noticed the problem when I did this, was originally working on web server, but someone updated something and it hasn't worked since: $ aspell check temp_test_file.txt Error: No word lists can be found for the language "en_US". What's the proper way of installing the required dictionaries? I believe we're running this on CentOS. And also, /usr/lib/aspell-0.60 does not contain the required dictionaries (provided that they're supposed to be saved there). data-dir: /usr/lib/aspell-0.60

  • How to run sed on over 10 million files in a directory?

    - by Sandro
I have a directory that has 10144911 files in it. So far I've tried the following: for f in ls; do sed -i -e 's/blah/blee/g' $f; done Crashed my shell, the ls is in a tilda but i can't figure out how to make one. ls | xargs -0 sed -i -e 's/blah/blee/g' Too many args for sed find . -name "*.txt" -exec sed -i -e 's/blah/blee/g' {} \; Couldn't fork any more no more memory Any other ideas on how to create this kind command? The files don't need to communicate with each other. ls | wc -l seems to work (very slow) so it must be possible.

  • PHP Mail() to Gmail = Spam

    - by grantw
Recently Gmail has started marking emails sent directly from my server (using php mail()) as spam and I'm having problems trying to find the issue. If I send an exact copy of the same email from my email client it goes to the Gmail inbox. The emails are plain text, around 7 lines long and contain a URL link in plain text. As the emails sent from my client are getting through fine I'm thinking that the content isn't the issue. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could take a look at the the following headers and give me some advice why the email from the server is being marked as spam. Email from Server: Delivered-To: [email protected] Received: by 10.49.98.228 with SMTP id el4csp101784qeb; Thu, 15 Nov 2012 14:58:52 -0800 (PST) Received: by 10.60.27.166 with SMTP id u6mr2296595oeg.86.1353020331940; Thu, 15 Nov 2012 14:58:51 -0800 (PST) Return-Path: [email protected] Received: from dom.domainbrokerage.co.uk (dom.domainbrokerage.co.uk. • Pass quoted argument string to Start-Process in PowerShell

    - by Luke Puplett
Hello I'm trying to very simply run an executable and pass a file path in as the first argument. In DOS, this would be the command: import.exe "C:\Some Path\With\Spaces.txt" By placing the path in quotes, the path is correctly parsed as the first token into the executable. In PowerShell I'm using this: $feeds = dir 'T:\Documents\Company\Product Development\Data foreach ($feed in $feeds) { start -FilePath import.exe -ArgumentList $feed.FullName } The problem with the Start-Process cmdlet in PowerShell is that it uses a string array for arguments, so the path is broken up and sent to the executable as separate tokens. Quotes in PowerShell force $feed.FullName to be treated literally. Double quotes "" make PowerShell not see anything in the argument list. "The argument is null or empty." it tells me. I expect that this is a known headache and has had a known workaround from day one. Thanks Luke

  • convert .htaccess to nginx

It's me again :( I was trying to install siwapp on my webserver but I couldn't make it work with nginx, here is the .htaccess file content: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !index.php RewriteRule (.*)\.php$ index.php/$1 RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|nhototamsu|assets|cache|xd_receiver\.html|photo|ipanel|automap|xajax_js|files|robots\.txt|favicon\.ico|ione\.ico|(.*)\.xml|ror\.xml|tool|google6afb981101589049\.html|googlec0d38cf2adbc25bc\.html|widget|iradio_admin|services|wsdl) RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [QSA,L] When I access http://myurl.com/tin-tuc/tuyen-sinh/tu-van/2012/04/25757-phan-van-qua-giua-khoi-a1-va-khoi-a.html ,nginx could display the page correctly, it said: "404 Not Found" (new URL: http://myurl.com/tin-tuc/tuyen-sinh/tu-van/2012/04/25757-phan-van-qua-giua-khoi-a1-va-khoi-a.html)

  • How to properly configure personal domain to send emails and pass spam filters? Is email forwarding enough?

    - by ChocoDeveloper
I'm using my own domain from Namecheap, and another company for the mail hosting for my personal email. I configured my domain to forward *@mydomain.com to the account I was given in the mail hosting company. I can send and receive emails, but I'm wondering if the emails I send are being flagged as spam sometimes. I remember when I used my own mail server years ago, there were mechanisms for my domain to say "this mail server is allowed to send emails as [email protected]", like adding a TXT record or something. So the questions are: Is email forwarding enough? Will mail servers understand that the mail server is allowed to send emails on my behalf? Is there a testing mail server where I can send an email and be told whether it thinks it's spam?

  • Vanilla TeX Live 2009 on Ubuntu

    - by reprogrammer
I installed TeX Live 2009 by following the instructions at http://www.tug.org/texlive/quickinstall. Then, to make my local TeX Live installation work with the Ubuntu package management system, I followed the instructions on http://www.tug.org/texlive/debian.html. That is, I performed the following steps. $ sudo aptitude install equivs $ mkdir /tmp/tl-equivs && cd /tmp/tl-equivs $ equivs-control texlive-local # I replaced the contents of texlive-local by http://www.tug.org/texlive/debian-control-ex.txt $ equivs-build texlive-local $ sudo dpkg -i texlive-local_2009-1~1_all.deb However, when I go about installing kile through the Ubuntu package management system, it requires me to install a lot of dependencies that are already provided by my texlive-local package. Does any one have a suggestion to fix this problem?

  • ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386 does not work with HTTP preseed?

    - by netvope
Installation media: ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386.iso I tried a lot of different boot parameters, but either the installer ignored the preseed configuration, or it boot itself directly as LiveCD. An example of the boot parameters I've tried: auto url=http://mydomain.com/path/preseed.cfg boot=casper only-ubiquity initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet splash -- If I remove only-ubiquity, it boots as a LiveCD. If I remove boot=casper, it won't boot. If I add vga=normal locale=en_US console-setup/layoutcode=us console-setup/ask_detect=false interface=auto, it still can't do automatic install. If I remove auto, it's the same. What is the correct boot parameters for launching such an installation? From the apache log of the server hosting preseed.cfg, I see that the installer has no problems fetching the preseed file. My preseed file is almost identical to the one at https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/installation-guide/example-preseed.txt. Moreover, I have run debconf-set-selections -c preseed.cfg to ensure that the preseed file is correct.

  • Windows pysical server provisioning question with HPSA 7.8

    - by warren
I have a physical server that I am trying to provision Windows to. At 58% of the way through copying files form the Core to the target server, the process hangs with either a samba time-out or an error indicating that %path%\system32\ntoskrnl.exe is missing or corrupt. I can build a VM on the same subnet with the same media (merely a different profile to catch the different unattend.txt file) with no issues. I can also provision RHEL5 to this server with no issues. The buildmgr logs indicate that eventually the job is timing-out. Samba logs show that connections are made, and then eventually closed - about the time that the build process times-out. Any ideas on where to look next?

  • Recovery of Pinnacle Studio Project Files

    - by seanieb
My external hard drive had some sort of issue a few months ago, but I was able to recover my files using a data recovery software program. However my Pinnacle studio files are not being recovered as before, they are being recovered as directory's/folders that have sub directory's and files. And I have tried with several different recovery programs and they all recover the projects as directories. And the projects all contain one file called README.TXT: * WARNING This directory contains the descriptive data of the project, split into. various subdirectories and files for better access. DO NOT EDIT, ADD, CHANGE OR MODIFY ANY OF IT'S CONTENTS! This gives me hope that I could some how just turn the directory into a .stu Pinnacle studio project file. How would I go about doing this? Or is there another way to solve this problem?

  • Sendmail is refusing connection after configuring SMTP relay

    - by coder
I'm setting up sendmail on my home computer to use with my webserver. I've set it to use my SMTP server provided by my hosting company. If I use the following command, it works sendmail -Am -t -v and then I enter the to and from emails. But if I try the following, it does not work. sendmail -v [email protected] < test.txt The TO email is the same as in the earlier command, but in this case I haven't specified a FROM e-mail, which I think is the problem. My guess is that it's sending the mail from user@localhost causing the smtp server to reject it. If so, how do I make it send from [email protected]?

How can I add an exclusion for this URL or maybe I can to exclude the specific file exptension (.ppt.swf, pptx.swf) from the list of this Nginx location? Thanks.

  • Changing file extension associations

    - by ldigas
What is the easiest way to permanently change association (program which opens etc.) for several file extensions at once? What I mean? Let's say you used TextEditorUncool up until now to open txt, dat, bat and abc files. Now you got TextEditorReallyCool and you wish if there was an application which on the left had a name of the program, and on the right a list of file extensions associated with it (which it, let's say, opens). Is there such a thing? Usually programs change this thing during installation (some even ask before), but in the case of portable programs one usually has to do it by hand, and for editors which open a gazillion of different file extensions, it gets tiresome really fast. All ideas welcomed !

  • How do I send an email with embedded images AND regular attachments in JavaMail?

    - by Chris
Hi, I'd like to know how to build an SMTP multipart message in the correct order so that it will render correctly on the iPhone mail client (rendering correctly in GMail). I'm using Javamail to build up an email containing the following parts: A body part with content type "text/html; UTF-8" An embedded image attachment. A file attachment I am sending the mail via GMail SMTP (via SSL) and the mail is sent and rendered correctly using a GMail account, however, the mail does not render correctly on the iPhone mail client. On the iPhone mail client, the image is rendered before the "Before Image" text when it should be rendered afterwards. After the "Before Image" text there is an icon with a question mark (I assume it means it couldn't find the referenced CID). I'm not sure if this is a limitation of the iPhone mail client or a bug in my mail sending code (I strongly assume the latter). I think that perhaps the headers on my parts might by incorrect or perhaps I am providing the multiparts in the wrong order. • Timing issue with autohotscript, fails to dump or open destination file

    - by learnerforever
I've created a autohotscript to quickly dump selected text into my jot file on the Desktop and I think I'm facing a timing error. The script works like thus: Select text when reading a text file, browsing internet, reading PDF, etc. Hit Ctrl + J Contents of selected text is dumped into my jot file. When I press Ctrl + J very quickly, it sometimes doesn't come up in my jot file and sometimes when I keep pressing Ctrl + J for a long time, many instances of the text appear. Could somebody please point out what's wrong with this script and how I can improve it. ^j:: Clipboard := "" ; clear Send, ^c ; simulate Ctrl+C (=selection in clipboard) selection = %Clipboard% ; save the content of the clipboard FileAppend, `n%selection%`n,C:\Users\jagrati\Desktop\jots.txt return

  • Robocopy Mirror Backup gone awry

    - by Aznfin
I have created a simple batch file script for running Robocopy. It is set to make a backup of my user account folder to my external hard drive. Here's the parameters for Robocopy: ROBOCOPY "C:\Users\Finnly" "F:\Backups\Finnly (Backup)" /ZB /COPY:DAT /DCOPY:T /MIR /256 /MT:32 /XF *.log *.log* *.dat *.tmp *.temp *.old "ntuser*" "SyncToy*" "UpgKit.txt" ".recently-used.xbel" /XD ".gimp-2.6" ".thumbnails" ".VirtualBox" "AppData" "Application Data" "Adobe" "Camtasia Studio" "Cookies" "CyberLink" "DivX Movies" "DVD Architect Pro 5.0 Projects" "dwhelper" "GTA San Andreas User Files" "Lightroom" "Local Settings" "NetHood" "PrintHood" "Scripts" "temp" "Templates" "The KMPlayer" "Tracing" /R:3 /W:10 /V /TS /FP /ETA /LOG+:F:\Backups\Sync.log /TEE For some reason when I run it, it backs up the files and then it seems to back them up again. The size of my user account directory is 18.3 GB but the backup of it occupies over 30 GB. After reading the contents of the log generated, it is obvious that it's copying files more than once. Why is this happening? I'm running Windows Seven Home Premium 64-bit.
