  • Annoying struts 2 problem

    - by Parhs
Hello... I am using this code to include some menus to my code... <s:action namespace="/" name="get_header" executeResult="true" /> <jsp:include page="/get_menu" > <jsp:param name="menuKey" value="configuration"></jsp:param> <jsp:param name="subMenuKey" value="user.add"></jsp:param> </jsp:include> THe problem is that the menus are generated dynamically... So suppose that we have 2 Actions ActionA and get_menu Action The jsp page for the result of ActionA calls get_menu to generate the menus. So suppose that ActionA sets a variable groups and get_menu also uses a groups variable... ActionA's variable will overtake get_menu's variable. I tried many solutions and even jsp:inculde doesnt help:(...

  • Routing zend request through a default controller when controller not found.

    - by Brett Pontarelli
    Below is a function defined in my Bootstrap class. I must be missing something fundamental in the way Zend does routing and dispatching. What I am trying to accomplish is simple: For any request /foo/bar/* that is not dispatchable for any reason try /index/foo/bar/. The problem I'm having is when the FooController exists I get Action "foo" does not exist. Basically, the isDispatchable is always false. public function run() { $front = Zend_Controller_Front::getInstance(); $request = $front->getRequest(); $dispatcher = $front->getDispatcher(); //$controller = $dispatcher->getControllerClass($request); if (!$dispatcher->isDispatchable($request)) { $route = new Zend_Controller_Router_Route( ':action/*', array('controller' => 'index') ); $router = $front->getRouter(); $router->addRoute('FallBack', $route); } $front->dispatch(); }

  • Rearranging parts of the URL result from link_to in Rails

    - by mathee
This is how I'm doing it now: link_to "Profile", :controller => "profiles", :action => "asked", :id => @profile # => <a href="/profiles/asked/1">Profile</a> Does it make more sense for the URL to be <a href="/profiles/1/asked">Profile</a>? Profile 1 asked some number of questions, so it makes more sense to me for the URL to look like: /:controller/:id/:action. If you agree, how do I accomplish this? If you don't agree, please let me know why. (I'm new to Ruby on Rails, so I'm still getting used to MVC conventions.) Any advice would be great!

  • <input type="image"> doesnt seem to be posting.

    - by Derek Adair
    I can't figure out why... This works: <?php if($_POST['test']) echo "posted"; ?> <form method="POST" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>"> <input type="submit" name="test" /> </form> and this doesn't: <?php if($_POST['test']) echo "posted"; ?> <form method="POST" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>"> <input type="image" name="test" src="images/button.submit.png" /> </form>

  • Admin section in CakePHP

    - by Nicklas Ansman
I'm having a hard time understanding how the CakePHP admin system works. Should all controllers who has an action which requires login include AuthComponent or just the one who handles the login/logout? Let's say I want to protect the add action of a controller. First I create admin_add() in the controller and then in the beforeFilter() method I check if $this->Session->check('Auth.User') is set a redirect based on this? Turns out it was better to just controll this with $this->Auth->allow() What is the easiest way to return to the URL the user was trying to access? Is there a better way than setting a session variable? Turns out it does this automagically :) If someone has a good tutorial for this I would happily read it :) I've already read this tutorial but I found it to be a little to basic and the CakePHP-docs are not that great on this topic either.

  • Huge amount of time sending data with suds and proxy

    - by Roman
Hi everyone, I have the following code to send data through a proxy using suds: import suds t = suds.transport.http.HttpTransport() proxy = urllib2.ProxyHandler({'http': 'http://192.168.3.217:3128'}) opener = urllib2.build_opener(proxy) t.urlopener = opener ws = suds.client.Client('http://xxxxxxx/web.asmx?WSDL', transport=t) req = ws.factory.create('ActionRequest.request') req.SerialNumber = 'asdf' req.HostName = 'hola' res = ws.service.ActionRequest(req) I don't know why, but it can be sending data above 2 or 3 minutes, or even more and it raises a "Gateway timeout" exception sometimes. If I don't use the proxy, the amount of time used is above 2 seconds or less. Here is the SOAP reply: (ActionResponse){ Id = None Action = "Action.None" Objects = "" } The proxy is running right with other requests through urllib2, or using normal web browsers like firefox. Does anyone have any idea what's happening here with suds? Thanks a lot in advance!!!

  • Phonegap/Cordova orientation change Android 4

    - by user1477576
I have a problem changing the orientation of the device (Android 4). In other versions it works fine. Versión of Cordova: cordova-1.8.0.js / cordova-1.8.1.js In Android 4 the app crash or show: "A network error occurred. (file:///android_asset/www/index.html)" I searched a lot about this and no answer solves the problem. In most cases users suggest adding: android:configChanges="orientation|keyboardHidden|screenSize" In other cases: super.setIntegerProperty("loadUrlTimeoutValue",60000); That not work for me :( My manifest activity: <activity android:name=".AppNameActivity" android:label="@string/app_name" android:configChanges="orientation|keyboardHidden|screenSize"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> The application should run on Android 2.2 to 4. Thank you very much for the help.

  • CakePHP and jQuery - Unobtrusive actions

    - by fortysixandtwo
    I'm trying to make an unobtrusive action for deleting bookmarks in CakePHP. Allthough it's working just fine, I suspect there must be a better way to do this. Could someone please point me in the right direction? function delete($id = null) { $ok = $this->Bookmark->delete($id); if($this->RequestHandler->isAjax()) { $this->autoRender = false; $this->autoLayout = false; $response = array('status' => 0, 'message' => 'Could not delete bookmark'); if($ok) { $response = array('status' => 1, 'message' => 'Bookmark deleted'); } $this->header('Content-Type: application/json'); echo json_encode($response); exit(); } // Request isn't AJAX, redirect. $this->redirect(array('action' => 'index')); }

  • Separate functionality depending on Role in ASP.NET MVC

    - by Andrew Bullock
I'm looking for an elegant pattern to solve this problem: I have several user roles in my system, and for many of my controller actions, I need to deal with slightly different data. For example, take /Users/Edit/1 This allows a Moderator to edit a users email address, but Administrators to edit a user's email address and password. I'd like a design for separating the two different bits of action code for the GET and the POST. Solutions I've come up with so far are: Switch inside each method, however this doesn't really help when i want different model arguments on the POST :( Custom controller factory which chooses a UsersController_ForModerators and UsersController_ForAdmins instead of just UsersController from the controller name and current user role Custom action invoker which choose the Edit_ForModerators method in a similar way to above Have an IUsersController and register a different implementation of it in my IoC container as a named instance based on Role Build an implementation of the controller at runtime using Castle DynamicProxy and manipulate the methods to those from role-based implementations Im preferring the named IoC instance route atm as it means all my urls/routing will work seamlessly. Ideas? Suggestions?

  • Error when compiling c# project in VS2012 when using Postsharp

    - by Thewads
I am currently working on a project where we were wanting to add PostSharp functionality. I have set up my Postsharp attribute as so [Serializable] public class NLogTraceAttribute : OnMethodBoundaryAspect { private readonly string _logLevel; ILogger logger; public NLogTraceAttribute(string logLevel) { _logLevel = logLevel; logger = new Logger("TraceAttribute"); } public override void OnEntry(MethodExecutionArgs args) { LogAction("Enter", args); } public override void OnExit(MethodExecutionArgs args) { LogAction("Leave", args); } private void LogAction(string action, MethodExecutionArgs args) { var argumentsInfo = args.GetArgumentsInfo(); logger.Log(_logLevel, "{0}: {1}.{2}{3}", action, args.Method.DeclaringType.Name, args.Method.Name, argumentsInfo); } } and trying to use it as [NLogTrace(NLogLevel.Debug)] However when compiling the project I am getting the following error: Error 26 Cannot serialize the aspects: Type 'NLog.Logger' in Assembly 'NLog, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=5120e14c03d0593c' is not marked as serializable.. • API for accessing PHP documentation?

    - by Chad Johnson
I'm done some Googling, and I've found nothing. I'm scoping out writing a plugin for an editor I use, and I am wondering whether there is a way I can access the PHP documentation via an API? For instance, I'd like to get raw access to the information (besides the comments) located here: http://php.net/file_exists. php.net seemingly uses MediaWiki which provides an API. The tutorial provides the example URL, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=login&format=xml. This does not work for php.net, however (http://php.net/w/api.php?action=login&format=xml). I'm just looking for a little information on how to interface with the PHP documentation.

  • Posting comment with ajax and jquery

    - by Steve
I want to display the posted comment once the user comments. Just to add it under all of them as facebook does. I have this: // Interceptamos el evento submit $('#CommentAddForm').submit(function() { alert("entro"); alert($(this).attr('action')); // Enviamos el formulario usando AJAX $.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: $(this).attr('action'), data: $(this).serialize(), // Mostramos un mensaje con la respuesta de PHP success: function(data) { $('#result').html(//????????????); } }); return false; }); But i don't know very well how it works and i dont know what should i write in the line $('#result').html(//????????????); The variable URL contains the route which inserts the comment in the DB. And it works well. Any idea? Thanks. By the way, i have been reading this answer: Ajax/jQuery Comment System But i still don't get it.

  • how to pass in dynamic data to decorators

    - by steve
Hi, I am trying to write a base crud controller class that does the following: class BaseCrudController: model = "" field_validation = {} template_dir = "" @expose(self.template_dir) def new(self, *args, **kwargs) .... @validate(self.field_validation, error_handler=new) @expose() def post(self, *args, **kwargs): ... My intent is to have my controllers extend this base class, set the model, field_validation, and template locations, and am ready to go. Unfortunately, decorators (to my understanding), are interpreted when the function is defined. Hence it won't have access to instance's value. Is there a way to pass in dynamic data or values from the sub class? If not, I guess I could use override_template as a workaround to expose and set the template within the controller action. How would I go about validating the form within the controller action? Thanks, Steve

  • How do I combine these similar linq queries into one?

    - by MikeD
This is probably a basic LINQ question. I have need to select one object and if it is null select another. I'm using linq to objects in the following way, that I know can be done quicker, better, cleaner... public Attrib DetermineAttribution(Data data) { var one = from c in data.actions where c.actionType == Action.ActionTypeOne select new Attrib { id = c.id, name = c.name }; if( one.Count() > 0) return one.First(); var two = from c in data.actions where c.actionType == Action.ActionTypeTwo select new Attrib { id = c.id, name = c.name }; if (two.Count() > 0 ) return two.First(); } The two linq operations differ only on the where clause and I know there is a way to combine them. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  • keep viewdata on RedirectToAction

    - by Thomas Stock
[AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult CreateUser([Bind(Exclude = "Id")] User user) { ... db.SubmitChanges(); ViewData["info"] = "The account has been created."; return RedirectToAction("Index", "Admin"); } This doesnt keep the "info" text in the viewdata after the redirectToAction. How would I get around this issue in the most elegant way? My current idea is to put the stuff from the Index controlleraction in a [NonAction] and call that method from both the Index action and in the CreateUser action, but I have a feeling there must be a better way. Thanks.

  • Can I create a UITableViewController that inherits from a custom subclass of UIViewController?

    - by prendio2
I have common functionality that I need to access from all screens of my app: a right bar button item and associated action. So as not to repeat the code I would like to set this up in a custom UIViewController and have all my view controllers inherit from it. - (void)viewDidLoad { UIBarButtonItem *rightBarButton = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithBarButtonSystemItem:UIBarButtonSystemItemPlay target:self action:@selector(lightsCamera)]; self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = rightBarButton; } - (void)lightsCamera { … } However, I have a number of UITableViewControllers however and I would like to know if it is possible for them to inherit the functionality too?

  • alt-tab sort of web design

    - by sureshgl
I am thinking of designing a web site having multiple related services. For every action of the user in a service there will be some computation going on in each of the other services. I want to display the service in action (chosen by the user) in the middle of the page in enlarged mode and rest of the services as small sized (shrunk) versions around the enlarged mode. The services which are shown in the shrunk version, should actually show what is happening in that service, at run time as if that was the chosen service. A close match to this sort of behavior I know is in Reliance BigTV, where all the small images of all the channels will be going on, and we can choose the one that we want to watch. After choosing that one image will become big and occupy the screen. Please, let me know if I can do some thing like this using css, html, ajax & php.

  • Making your class an event source in Java

    - by Crystal
I'm making a custom button in Java that has two states, mousePressed, and mouseReleased. At the same time, if I wanted to reuse this button, so that other event listeners can register with it, are these the appropriate steps I should do: override addActionListener(ActionListener action) override removeActionListener(ActionListener action) have a private variable like List <ActionListener> list = new List <ActionListener>() to keep track of when events get added and some sort of function with for loop to run all the actions: public void runListeners() { for (ActionListener al : list) { al.actionPerfomed; } } I'm not really sure if this is the way you can do it or if there are other things I am missing. Like does my custom class have to be implements ActionListener? Thanks.

  • 'button_to' gives me an ugly URL!

    - by Tyler
Im trying to get an 'add to cart' button to work. When I use <%= button_to "Add to Cart", :acton = "add_to_cart", :id = @product % and then click the button, I get a URL that puts the action after the ID, like this: 'http://localhost:3000/store/show/1?acton=add_to_cart.' The cart page does not load. What I need is a URL that looks like this: 'http://localhost:3000/store/add_to_cart/1'. I can get that result (and the cart to work) if I don't use 'button_to': <% form_for @product, :url = {:action = "add_to_cart", :id = @product} do |f| % <% end % But, what the heck? Why can't I use 'button_to'?

  • Dynamically creating page definitions in Cherrypy

    - by Hugh
Hi, I've been looking around the CherryPy documentation, but can't quite get my head around what I want to do. I suspect it might be more of a Python thing than a CherryPy thing... My current class looks something like this: import managerUtils class WebManager: def A(self, **kwds): return managerUtils.runAction("A", kwds) A.enabled = True def B(self, **kwds): return managerUtils.runAction("B", kwds) B.enabled = True def C(self, **kwds): return managerUtils.runAction("C", kwds) C.enabled = True Obviously there's a lot of repetition in here. in managerUtils.py, I have a dict that's something like: actions = {'A': functionToRunForA, 'B': functionToRunForB, 'C': functionToRunForC} Okay, so that's a slightly simplistic view of it, but I'm sure you get the idea. I want to be able to do something like: import managerUtils class WebManager: def __init__(self): for action in managerUtils.actions: f = registerFunction(action) f.enabled = True Any ideas of how to do this?
