My .Net application needs to convert PDF document to word format pro-grammatically.
I evaluated several products and found acrobat x pro , which gives a save as option where we can save the document in word/excel format. I tried to use Acrobat SDK but couldn't find proper documentation from where to start. looked into their IAC sample but couldn't understand how to call the menu item and make it execute the save as option. Please help me if you have any idea regarding this.
Hi, I've downloaded the dll's for ImageMagick and am wondering if anybody knows of some example code to accomplish a simple task:
I have generated an image in C++ and have the buffer in RGB format. I need to convert it to PDF format (without writing to a file) before sending it over a TCP socket.
Is this doable with ImageMagick (or any other library)?
I have a small rails app that has default scaffold generated routes eg. /stadia/1.xml. However I have to support legacy client app that can't construct such URLs correctly. What I need to do is to map URL in the form:
/stadia?id=1?format=xml to /stadia/1.xml
Or even something like:
/myApp?model=<model_name>?id=<id>?format=xml to /<model_name/<id>.xml
Is it possible to craft appropriate route in Rails?

I'm trying to output in bibtex format in Django and the template looks like this:
@{{ pubentry.type }{,
author = {{% for author in pubentry.authors.all %}{{ author.first_name }} {{ author.middle_name }} {{ author.last_name }}{% if not forloop.last %} and {% endif %}
{% endfor %}},
title = {{{ pubentry.title }}},
journal = {{{ pubentry.journal }}}
}
The problem is with the "{{{" or "{{%". One way to go around the problem is to add a space after the first "{", but that kind of tamper the format. What's the right way to escape { in Django templates?
In Ruby on Rails,
http://localhost:3000/foobars/alt/1
works
but
http://localhost:3000/foobars/alt/1.xml
doesn't work.
config/route.rb is
map.connect ':controller/:action/:id'
map.connect ':controller/:action/:id.:format'
so supposedly it supports an id.format in the URL?
Hi There I wish to convert my string in format dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss to a DateTime of the same format.
Dim ukCulture As System.Globalization.CultureInfo = New System.Globalization.CultureInfo("en-GB")
Dim myDateTime As DateTime
myDateTime = DateTime.ParseExact("18/05/2010 23:42:10, "dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss", ukCulture)
When I step through this code the variable myDateTime is 05/18/2010 23:42:10 it appears that the dd/mm is the wrong way around and I cant work out how to correct this. Can ayone offer any guidance on how to correct this please?

The default output of File.toURL() is
file:/c:/foo/bar
These don't appear to work on windows, and need to be changed to
file:///c:/foo/bar
Does the format
file:/c:/foo/bar
work correctly on Unix (I don't have a Unix machine to test on)? Is there a library that can take care of generating a URL from a File that is in the correct format for the current environment?
I'm creating a website in Ruby on Rails, where users can login using RESTful Authentication. Someone can get a specific user using html, xml and json, just like scaffolding. But I want to add one more format: vCard (e.g. /users/1.vcard). This has a specific format, but how do I define my own formats? Using views, or must I use another way? Thanks
How could i add to a blog or site in general a feature that let users export the content to epub format or some other open ebook formats?
It's not a feature that i normally see on most of the site i browse every day (some has export to pdf that is not great as ebook format), do you think it is feasible?

In MySQL are there any restrictions (and/or) practical reasons against using a numbering system similiar to the National Stock Number format as follows 3728-01-234-5678 (this format includes the use of the hyphen between groups of characters within the structure)
Would this require the use of a specific engine like InnoDB

Hello everyone,
For a video file (e.g. wmv file or other format), I need to generate abstract for the video. The abstract is expected to be in text format. Any mature tools or algorithms? Better (not a must) if open source tools/SDKs so that I can modify for my special needs.
thanks in advance,
George
Say I've written a simple app that draws circles in browser. Now I'd like to let people save their pictures. How would I store the data on the server? Which format would be the best option? Should I simply store the relevant html? What would be the case when I would want to make a custom format that is stored on the server and parsed back to html canvas when loaded?
My site does some short ajax call in JSON format, using jQuery.
At client-side i'd like to send object just passing it in ajax function, without being forced to wrap it in an object literal like this: {'JSON_Obj' : myJSON_Obj }.
For the same reasons, at server-side i'd like to manage objects without the binding of $_GET['JSON_Obj'] or $_POST['JSON_Obj'].
For example, using file_get_contents("php://input"), i can manage POST requests in that way, but in GET format it doesn't work.
Any suggestions?
