  • Symfony form values missing

    - by Cav
Hi, I was writing a simple login form, everything works fine (validation etc.) but I can't get the values, there's my code: public function executeIndex(sfWebRequest $request) { $this->getUser()->clearCredentials(); $this->getUser()->setAuthenticated(false); $this->form = new LoginForm(); if ($request->isMethod('post') && $request->hasParameter('login')) { $this->form->bind($request->getParameter('login')); if ($this->form->isValid()) { $this->getUser()->setAuthenticated(true); $this->getUser()->addCredential('user'); $this->login = $this->form->getValue('login'); } } } $this-login is NULL. Now I checked almost everything, the form is valid, isBound() is true, count() returns 3, I can see the values in my request: parameterHolder: action: index login: { login: foo, password: foo, _csrf_token: 53ebddee1883d7e3d6575d6fb1707a15 } module: login BUT getValues() returns NULL, getValue('login') etc. returns NULL as well. How can it be? And no, I don't want to use sfGuard-Plugins ;)

  • Question about ASP.NET MVC and static data (ie. images, scripts, etc)

    - by Pure.Krome
Hi folks, If i have a request for a resource in my ASP.NET MVC1 (or 2) web app for a static resource, say ... an image or a javascript file or a css file ... does the .NET framework try and see if the request matches the route list ... and eventually can't find a controller for it? eg. Resource: /Content/Images/Foo.png Does this request go through my route list .. fails to match any controllers / actions to this request and then .. i donno ... attempt that path directly?

  • servlet connection to DB

    - by underW
Initially, after reading books on the subject, I firmly believed that the algorithm for working with a database from a servlet is as follows: create a connection - connect to the database - form a request - send the request to the database - get the query results - process them - close connection - OK. Now, with a better understanding of the practical side, I realized that nobody does it that way, and everything happens through a connection pool according to the following algorithm: initialize the servlet - create a connection pool - a request comes from a user - take a free connection from the pool - form a request - send the request to the database - get the query results - process them - return the connection back to the pool - ok. Now I have this problem: We have 100 users, they are divided into 10 groups, each group has it's own username and password to connect to the database. Moreover, each group may have different rights to the database. How am I supposed to use a connection pool in this situation? If I understand correctly, a pool is nothing more than just a group of similar connections with a single login and password. And here I have 10 pairs of username / password. It looks like I cannot use the pool in this situation. What should I do?

  • Stopping long-running requests in Pylons

    - by Jack
I'm working on an application using Pylons and I was wondering if there was a way to make sure it doesn't spend way too much time handling one request. That is, I would like to find a way to put a timer on each request such that when too much time elapses, the request just stops (and possibly returns some kind of error). The application is supposed to allow users to run some complex calculations but I would like to make sure that if a calculation starts taking too much time, we stop it to allow other calculations to take place.

  • Filter---after setting attribute--->Servlet---after getting and setting the attribute---->Jsp How do I do this?

    - by Y.E.P
This is what I want to do : A servlet is called. Before a servlet is called , the request is intercepted by a filter. Filter gets some details out from the request, sets them as an attribute and the forwards it to a servlet via chain.doFilter(request,response). Request finally reaches the servlet. Servlet gets the attribute set by the filter before and sets a new attribute by another name. Then it forwards it to some jsp page where the page gets the attribute and processes it. How do I do this ? I know how to write a filter and a servlet but how do I forward it to a jsp page from the servlet or is there any other way to achieve this ?

But I can't understand how I should configure it with a mail server. Which mail server should I use? Will I be able to send an email using above code? What are the requirements a mail server? • NULL pointer dereference in swiotlb_unmap_sg_attrs() on disk IO

    - by Inductiveload
I'm getting an error I really don't understand when reading or writing files using a PCIe block device driver. I seem to be hitting an issue in swiotlb_unmap_sg_attrs(), which appears to be doing a NULL dereference of the sg pointer, but I don't know where this is coming from, as the only scatterlist I use myself is allocated as part of the device info structure and persists as long as the driver does. There is a stacktrace to go with the problem. It tends to vary a bit in exact details, but it always crashes in swiotlb_unmap_sq_attrs(). I think it's likely I have a locking issue, as I am not sure how to handle the locks around the IO functions. The lock is already held when the request function is called, I release it before the IO functions themselves are called, as they need an (MSI) IRQ to complete. The IRQ handler updates a "status" value, which the IO function is waiting for. When the IO function returns, I then take the lock back up and return to request queue handling. The crash happens in blk_fetch_request() during the following: if (!__blk_end_request(req, res, bytes)){ printk(KERN_ERR "%s next request\n", DRIVER_NAME); req = blk_fetch_request(q); } else { printk(KERN_ERR "%s same request\n", DRIVER_NAME); } where bytes is updated by the request handler to be the total length of IO (summed length of each scatter-gather segment).

  • Spring Controller redirect to another page

    - by user1386375
Hey I got the following problem. This is the content of the jspx file: function postSMTH() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: document.getElementById("urltxt").value, data: parameters, }); } <input type="hidden" value="${pageContext.request.contextPath}/foo/foo2/foodat" name="urltxt" id="urltxt"/> <div class="foodat"><a href="javascript:postSMTH();"><spring:message code="foo_foo2_foodat_text" text="FOODAT"/></a></div> So if I push the submit button, the postSMTH function is called and the ajax object is paste to the Controller which look like this: @Controller @RequestMapping(value="/foo") public class FooController { .............. @RequestMapping(value="/foo2", method=RequestMethod.POST) public String homePOST(HttpServletRequest request) { ........ } @RequestMapping(value="/foo2", method=RequestMethod.GET) public String homeGET(HttpServletRequest request) { ........ } @RequestMapping(value="/foo2/foodat", method=RequestMethod.POST) public String doTHAT(HttpServletRequest request) { // check authorization Map fooMap = request.getParameterMap(); // do something in the Database, depending on the paramMap return "redirect:/foo/foo1"; } } Everything is working fine regarding the Database, but the Problem is, that the redirect at the end DOESN'T work. It just stays at the page foo2. I'm new to Spring, maybe its a little mistake somewhere. I just cant make it out by myself. Would be nice if someone would have some hint. Thanks

  • reverse many to many fields in Django + count them

    - by cleliodpaula
    I'm trying to figure out how to solve this class Item(models.Model): type = models.ForeignKey(Type) name = models.CharField(max_lenght = 10) ... class List(models.Model): items = models.ManyToManyField(Item) ... I want to count how many an Item appears in another Lists, and show on template. view def items_by_list(request, id_): list = List.objects.get(id = id_) qr = list.items.all() #NOT TESTED num = [] i = 0 for item in qr: num[i] = List.objects.filter(items__id = item__id ).count() #FINISH NOT TESTED c = {} c.update(csrf(request)) c = {'request':request, 'list' : qr, 'num' : num} return render_to_response('items_by_list.html', c, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) template {% for dia in list %} <div class="span4" > <div> <h6 style="color: #9937d8">{{item.type.description}}</h6> <small style="color: #b2e300">{{ item.name }}</small> <small style="color: #b2e300">{{COUNT HOW MANY TIMES THE ITEM APPEAR ON OTHER LISTS}}</small> </div> {% endfor %} This seems to be easy, but I could not implement yet. If anyone has some glue to me, please help me. Thanks in advance.

  • How to drop/restart a client connection to a flaky socket server

    - by Steve Prior
I've got Java code which makes requests via sockets from a server written in C++. The communication is simply that the java code writes a line for a request and the server then writes a line in response, but sometimes it seems that the server doesn't respond, so I've implemented an ExecutorService based timeout which tries to drop and restart the connection. To work with the connection I keep: Socket server; PrintWriter out; BufferedReader in; so setting up the connection is a matter of: server = new Socket(hostname, port); out = new PrintWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(server.getOutputStream())); in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(socket.getInputStream())); If it weren't for the timeout code the request/receive steps are simply: String request="some request"; out.println(request); out.flush(); String response = in.readLine(); When I received a timeout I was trying to close the connection with: in.close(); out.close(); socket.close(); but one of these closes seems to block and never return. Can anyone give me a clue why one of these would block and what would be the proper way to abandon the connection and not end up with resource leak issues?

  • Adding fields to Django form dynamically (and cleanly)

    - by scott
    Hey guys, I know this question has been brought up numerous times, but I'm not quite getting the full implementation. As you can see below, I've got a form that I can dynamically tell how many rows to create. How can I create an "Add Row" link that tells the view how many rows to create? I would really like to do it without augmenting the url... # views.py def myView(request): if request.method == "POST": form = MyForm(request.POST, num_rows=1) if form.is_valid(): return render_to_response('myform_result.html', context_instance=RequestContext(request)) else: form = MyForm(num_rows=1) return render_to_response('myform.html', {'form':form}, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) # forms.py class MyForm(forms.Form): def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs): num_rows = kwargs.pop('num_rows',1) super(MyForm, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) for row in range(0, num_rows): field = forms.CharField(label="Row") self.fields[str(row)] = field # myform.html http://example.com/myform <form action="." method="POST" accept-charset="utf-8"> <ul> {% for field in form %} <li style="margin-top:.25em"> <span class="normal">{{ field.label }}</span> {{ field }} <span class="formError">{{ field.errors }}</span> </li> {% endfor %} </ul> <input type="submit" value="Save"> </form> <a href="ADD_ANOTHER_ROW?">+ Add Row</a>

  • GAE app.yaml appears to be inconsistently routing requests

    - by kamens
I have the following in app.yaml: - url: /gae_mini_profiler/static static_dir: gae_mini_profiler/static - url: /gae_mini_profiler/.* script: gae_mini_profiler/main.py - url: .* script: main.py and the following in gae_mini_profiler/main.py: def main(): logging.critical("gae_mini_profiler request!") run_wsgi_app(application) However, when I fire requests to, say, /gae_mini_profiler/request?request=ABC, and repeatedly reload the page, sometimes I will get the proper response (as well as a "gae_mini_profiler request!" log entry, and sometimes I get a blank response and nothing in the App Engine logs other than a 200 with an empty response body. This is completely reproducible, only happens in the live environment, and I'd say ~50% of the refreshes work while 50% do not. This only happens in production. Any ideas?

  • scala: how to rewrite this function using for comprehension

    - by opensas
I have this piece of code with a couple of nasty nested checks... I'm pretty sure it can be rewritten with a nice for comprehension, but I'm a bit confused about how to mix the pattern matching stuff // first tries to find the token in a header: "authorization: ideas_token=xxxxx" // then tries to find the token in the querystring: "ideas_token=xxxxx" private def applicationTokenFromRequest(request: Request[AnyContent]): Option[String] = { val fromHeaders: Option[String] = request.headers.get("authorization") val tokenRegExp = """^\s*ideas_token\s*=\s*(\w+)\s*$""".r val tokenFromHeader: Option[String] = { if (fromHeaders.isDefined) { val header = fromHeaders.get if (tokenRegExp.pattern.matcher(header).matches) { val tokenRegExp(extracted) = header Some(extracted) } else { None } } else { None } } // try to find it in the queryString tokenFromHeader.orElse { request.queryString.get("ideas_token") } } any hint you can give me?

  • JAAS : on Callback ( Interesting based on HTTP headers )

    - by VJS
I am using NameCallback and PasswordCallback for username and password. For username and password, popup comes on browser and when i enter username ans password, JAAS authenticates my request. On the wireshark, I have seen that 401 Unauthorized message (WWW-Authenticate header)comes and when i enter username/password HTTP request with credentials generate ( with Authorization header) and goes to server. My requirement : I don't want pop up to come.My application on other server having username / password, so once it received 401 then based on some logic it will generate HTTP request with Authorization header / credentials and sent it back. FLow : User - Other Server - My Tomcat5.5 Here on Other Server, nobody is available to enter username/password manually.Application is deployed and it will only generate HTTP request with credential and sent it back to tomcat. Can we have any other callback which behave like this.Need your help. Please provide me feedback as well related to approach.

  • Authenticating model - best practices

    - by zerkms
I come into ASP.NET from php so the reason why i ask my question is because it's totally different nature of how application works and handles requests. well, i have an exists table with user creditians, such as: id, login, password (sha hashed), email, phone, room i have built custom membership provider so it can handle my own database authentication schema. and now i'm confused, because User.Identity.Name contains only user's login, but not the complete object (i'm using linq2sql to communicate with database and i need in it's User object to work). at php applications i just store user object at some static method at Auth class (or some another), but here at ASP.NET MVC i cannot do this, because static member is shared across all requests and permanent, and not lives within only current request (as it was at php). so my question is: how and where should i retrieve and store linq2sql user object to work with it within current and only current request? (after request processed successfully i expect it will be disposed from memory and on next request will be created again). or i'm following totally wrong way?

  • Mystery in Ruby sinatra

    - by JVK
I have the following Sinatra code: post '/bucket' do # determine if this call is coming from filling out web form is_html = request.content_type.to_s.downcase.eql?('application/x-www-form-urlencoded') # If this is a curl call, then get the params differently unless is_html params = JSON.parse(request.env["rack.input"].read) end p params[:name] end If I call this using Curl, params has values, but when this is called via a web form, then params is nil and params[:name] has nothing. I spent several hours figuring out why it happens and asked help from other people, but no one could really find out what is going on. One thing to note is, if I comment out this line: params = JSON.parse(request.env["rack.input"].read) then params has the correct value for "web-form" posting. Actually, the goal is to get the params value if this code is being called by CURL call, so I used: params = JSON.parse(request.env["rack.input"].read) but it messed up the web-form posting. Can anyone solve this mystery?

  • OpenCalais API using jQuery

    - by Varun
Hi I've wanted to do some language processing for an application and have been trying to use the OpenCalais API. The call to the API works perfectly and returns data. The problem is that even though I can see the data in the firebug, I cannot access it because the callback never triggers. Details: the call requires callback=? as it is a JSONP request. so callback=foo SHOULD call the foo method once the data is returned, it doesn't. in fact, if callback is anything other than ? the call fails and doesn't return any data. (i've also checked JSLint to make sure the returned JSON is valid). tried using $.ajax instead of $.getJSON so that I can get an error callback, but neither the success or error callbacks fire. in firebug, usually when you make a JSON request, the request shows up in the console. In this case, the request doesn't show up in the console, but instead shows in the "Net" tab in firebug...dunno what that means, but somehow the browser doesn't think its an XHR request. any ideas? thanks.
