• Determining credit/debit card type

  Hi, I'm writing a POS application for the iPhone/iPod combination, using the same exact hardware used in Apple Stores:: EasyPay. Ok, my hurdle is this: how do I identify which credit card type is being used as text is entered in the uitextfield? I assume I've to use textField:shouldChangeCharactersInRange:replacementString:? However, I've got ideas floating around, but I simple cannot put them together to form code :/ Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advanced :D

  I'm editing a Visual Studio 2010 web application. When saving changes to a code-behind file, the file becomes read only in the editor for 1-2 minutes. Closing and re-opening the file makes it editable again. As I save quite frequently, this can be a pain. Has anyone else run into this issue, and know any work-arounds?

A little bit more details, we develop on local machines, and then we need to transfer the code and database changes to production (pretty much standard story). Which I copied over but does not read it, what I'm needing is the membership and rolemanager but I can't just add it to the app.config either, which I've been able to get the connection strings and application settings to work with..   Hi All, I am trying to integrate restful_authentication plugings into my rails 3 application. I integrated this in windows, but while trying to integrate it to ubuntu I am facing an error "uninitialized constant OpenSSL::Digest::SHA1" I googled for the solution but still unsuccessful. I am unable to load the file, "require Digest/SHA1" Now, i tried to run console screen. and tried to check the Digest file by putting print statement, this gives false, while in the irb it returns true.   Hey, I've been developing an application in the windows console with Java, and want to put it online in all of its console-graphics-glory. Is there a simple web applet API I can use to port my app over? I'm just using basic System.out and System.in functionality, but I'm happy to rebuild my I/O wrappers. I think something along these lines would be a great asset to any beginning Java developers who want to put their work online.
