  • SSIS how to split a single record in to two different records?

    - by Dr. Zim
    I have a Product record that has multiple "zoned" prices, one for each store that sells the product. ProductID int Name string PriceA money PriceB money PriceC money In SQL Server Integration Services, I need to split this in to multiple records: ProductID int Version string // A, B, or C Price money // PriceA if A, PriceB if B, etc. This would be within a Data Flow, I presume as a Transformation between Excel source and OLE DB destination. (Assuming OLE DB is a good destination for MS SQL server).

  • split a database web application - good idea or bad idea?

    - by Khou
    Is it a bad idea to split up a application and the database? Application1 uses database1 on ServerX Application2 uses database2 on ServerY Both application communicates over web service API, they are apart of the same application, one application is used to manage user's profile/personal data, while the other application is used to manages user's financial data. Or should just put them together and just use 1 database on the same server?

  • Possible to split one JAX-WS service across multiple source files?

    - by Rob S.
    Hi everyone, Is it possible to split a web service in to multiple classes and still provide a single path to the web service? I know this isn't possible because of the duplicate url-pattern values. It sort of illustrates where we're wanting to go :) <endpoint name="OneBigService" implementation="SmallImpl1" url-pattern="/OneBigService"/> <endpoint name="OneBigService" implementation="SmallImpl2" url-pattern="/OneBigService"/> Basically, how do avoid having one monolithic @WebService class? Thanks! Rob

  • WP plugin: How to split to multiple pages, automatically ?

    - by Tomer
    Hello there. I'm writing a WP plugin, that shows DB records in a table. Because the list is too long, I'd like to split it to multiple pages, based on the same display. I can do that manually with handling URL parameters, and using PHP, but I wanted to know if there's a structed method to to that. http://site.com/list --> records 1-20 http://site.com/list/2 --> records 20-40 Thanks, Tomer

  • Right-aligning button in a grid with possibly no content - stretch grid to always fill the page

    - by Peter Perhác
    Hello people, I am losing my patience with this. I am working on a Windows Phone 7 application and I can't figure out what layout manager to use to achieve the following: Basically, when I use a Grid as the layout root, I can't make the grid to stretch to the size of the phone application page. When the main content area is full, all is well and the button sits where I want it to sit. However, in case the page content is very short, the grid is only as wide as to accommodate its content and then the button (which I am desperate to keep near the right edge of the screen) moves away from the right edge. If I replace the grid and use a vertically oriented stack panel for the layout root, the button sits where I want it but then the content area is capable of growing beyond the bottom edge. So, when I place a listbox full of items into the main content area, it doesn't adjust its height to be completely in view, but the majority of items in that listbox are just rendered below the bottom edge of the display area. I have tried using a third-party DockPanel layout manager and then docked the button in it's top section and set the button's HorizontalAlignment="Right" but the result was the same as with the grid, it also shrinks in size when there isn't enough content in the content area (or when title is short). How do I do this then? ==EDIT== I tried WPCoder's XAML, only I replaced the dummy text box with what I would have in a real page (stackpanel) and placed a listbox into the ContentPanel grid. I noticed that what I had before and what WPCoder is suggesting is very similar. Here's my current XAML and the page still doesn't grow to fit the width of the page and I get identical results to what I had before: <phone:PhoneApplicationPage x:Name="categoriesPage" x:Class="CatalogueBrowser.CategoriesPage" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:phone="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Phone.Controls;assembly=Microsoft.Phone" xmlns:shell="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Phone.Shell;assembly=Microsoft.Phone" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" FontFamily="{StaticResource PhoneFontFamilyNormal}" FontSize="{StaticResource PhoneFontSizeNormal}" Foreground="{StaticResource PhoneForegroundBrush}" SupportedOrientations="PortraitOrLandscape" Orientation="Portrait" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignWidth="480" d:DesignHeight="768" xmlns:ctrls="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Phone.Controls;assembly=Microsoft.Phone.Controls.Toolkit" shell:SystemTray.IsVisible="True"> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="Transparent"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" VerticalAlignment="Center" > <TextBlock Text="Browsing:" Margin="10,10" Style="{StaticResource PhoneTextTitle3Style}" /> <TextBlock x:Name="ListTitle" Text="{Binding DisplayName}" Margin="0,10" Style="{StaticResource PhoneTextTitle3Style}" /> </StackPanel> <Button Grid.Column="1" x:Name="btnRefineSearch" Content="Refine Search" Style="{StaticResource buttonBarStyle}" FontSize="14" /> </Grid> <Grid x:Name="ContentPanel" Grid.Row="1"> <ListBox x:Name="CategoryList" ItemsSource="{Binding Categories}" Style="{StaticResource CatalogueList}" SelectionChanged="CategoryList_SelectionChanged"/> </Grid> </Grid> </phone:PhoneApplicationPage> This is what the page with the above XAML markup looks like in the emulator:

  • Need help with Android TableLayout alignment

    - by Ben L.
    I'm trying to build a calculator layout using TableLayout, but the last two rows aren't aligning with the rest of the layout. Is there something wrong with my layout XML? What I'm trying to do would be easier to accomplish in HTML (<td> with colspan or rowspan), so should I try converting this into a WebView? Code is as follows: (Screenshot) <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <EditText android:id="@+id/EditText01" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="fill_parent" /> <TableLayout android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:stretchColumns="*"> <TableRow android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1"> <Button android:id="@+id/Button08" android:textSize="16pt" android:text="^" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="wrap_content" /> <Button android:id="@+id/Button09" android:text="÷" android:textSize="16pt" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="wrap_content" /> <Button android:id="@+id/Button10" android:text="×" android:textSize="16pt" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="wrap_content" /> <Button android:id="@+id/Button11" android:textSize="16pt" android:text="-" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="wrap_content" /> </TableRow> <TableRow android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="2"> <LinearLayout android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_weight="1"> <Button android:id="@+id/Button01" android:text="7" android:textSize="16pt" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="fill_parent" /> <Button android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="16pt" android:text="4" android:id="@+id/Button05" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" /> </LinearLayout> <LinearLayout android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="fill_parent"> <Button android:id="@+id/Button02" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="8" android:textSize="16pt" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" /> <Button android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="16pt" android:text="5" android:id="@+id/Button06" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" /> </LinearLayout> <LinearLayout android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="fill_parent"> <Button android:id="@+id/Button03" android:text="9" android:textSize="16pt" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="1" /> <Button android:textSize="16pt" android:text="6" android:id="@+id/Button07" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="1" /> </LinearLayout> <Button android:id="@+id/Button04" android:text="+" android:textSize="16pt" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1" /> </TableRow> <TableRow android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="2"> <LinearLayout android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_weight="2"> <LinearLayout android:layout_weight="1" android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"> <Button android:id="@+id/Button02" android:textSize="16pt" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:text="1" /> <Button android:textSize="16pt" android:id="@+id/Button06" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:text="2" /> </LinearLayout> <Button android:id="@+id/Button01" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="16pt" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:text="0" /> </LinearLayout> <LinearLayout android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_weight="1"> <Button android:id="@+id/Button03" android:textSize="16pt" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="1" android:text="3" /> <Button android:textSize="16pt" android:id="@+id/Button07" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="1" android:text="." /> </LinearLayout> <Button android:id="@+id/Button04" android:textSize="16pt" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1" android:text="=" /> </TableRow> </TableLayout> </LinearLayout>

  • How to change button's image in visual c++ at run time?

    - by karikari
    After trying and error for many times, I decided to ask here. My objective is I wanted to change the feature of my IE toolbar button. The button is firstly setup by IE at IE startup using the function CRebarHandler::onSetRedraw and CRebarHandler::setButtonMenu2(). And then, I create a call from another cpp file, to call CRebarHandler::setButtonMenu2(). I intent to change just the button's image. I assigned the ID of the image correctly. But somehow it does not work. When I put other code inside this function,like a code for writing to file, it is proven work. Means, it is properly being called from the other file. But the thing is, the code for the button inside CRebarHandler::setButtonMenu2() seems does not work. Need help. Here is the code I am working on (I modify John Lister's button code): LRESULT CRebarHandler::onSetRedraw(UINT uMsg, WPARAM wParam, LPARAM lParam, BOOL& bHandled){ bHandled=false; if (m_ieVer==6){ if (!m_hWndToolbar) scanForToolbarSlow(); if (m_hWndToolbar){ findButton(m_hWndToolbar); if (m_buttonID>0) setButtonMenu(); } } return S_OK; } void CRebarHandler::setButtonMenu(){ HIMAGELIST hImageList = ImageList_Create(32, 32,ILC_COLOR16 | ILC_MASK,1, 0); HINSTANCE module = _AtlBaseModule.GetResourceInstance(); TBBUTTONINFO inf; inf.cbSize=sizeof(inf); inf.dwMask = TBIF_IMAGE; char psBuffer[128]; FILE *pPipe; float f = 0; pPipe = _popen("javaw -jar c:\\simmetrics.jar c:\\chtml.txt c:\\thtml.txt", "rt" ); char* p = fgets(psBuffer, 128, pPipe); std::istringstream iss(p); iss >> f; if (f > 0.9) { inf.iImage = 1; SendMessage(m_hWndToolbar, TB_SETBUTTONINFO, m_buttonID, (LPARAM)(&inf)); iss.clear(); f = 0; } else { inf.iImage = 2; SendMessage(m_hWndToolbar, TB_SETBUTTONINFO, m_buttonID, (LPARAM)(&inf)); iss.clear(); f = 0; } iss.clear(); f = 0; } void CRebarHandler::setButtonMenu2(){ TBBUTTONINFO inf; inf.cbSize=sizeof(inf); inf.dwMask = TBIF_IMAGE; inf.iImage = 1; //green SendMessage(NULL, TB_SETBUTTONINFO, m_buttonID, (LPARAM)(&inf)); }

  • How to display a flyout menu on clicking an image in Grid header in MVC?

    - by Vincent
    A grid is displayed using the following code in MVC. <%= this.Grid( "routes-" + mc , "Testing", Model.Routes, new GridBuilder<RouteModel>() .Column( "chk", () => Html.Image( Url.Content( "down.gif" ), "Select or deselect tests" ), (m) => "<input type='hidden' name='routeLinkId' value='"+ m.RouteLinkID +"' />" + Html.CheckBox( "drugRoute" + mc + m.RouteLinkID, m.IsChecked ) ) .Column( "route clip-text", "Route", (m) = Html.Encode( m.Route ) ) .Column( "groups clip-text", "Groups", (m) = "" + Html.Encode(m.Group) + "" ) .ToGrid() ) % On clicking the image in header I need to display a flyout menu. The code for the flyout menu is below. <div id="group-menu-<%= mc %>" class="flyout-menu" title="Select tests"> <div> <p>Select</p> <ul> <li><button type="button" name="one">One</button></li> <li><button type="button" name="two">two</button></li> </ul> <p>Unselect</p> <ul> <li><button type="button" name="unselect-one">one</button></li> <li><button type="button" name="unselect-two">two</button></li> </ul> </div> </div> Now how do I display this menu on clicking the image in header.

  • XtraGrid Suite - is there a way to add a button or hyperlink to a cell?

    - by calico-cat
    I'm working with the XtraGrid Suite made by DevExpress. I can't find any sort of functionality to do this, but I'm curious if you can add a button or hyperlink to a grid cell. Context: I've got an Events list. Each Event has a Time, Start/End, and a Category (Utility and Maintenance). There can be Start events and Stop events. Having done my analysis of the problem, I've decided that having a StartTime and EndTime for each event would not work. So if an event starts, I'd record the current time to the Event object, and set it as a 'Start' event. I'd like to add a "Stop" button/hyperlink to a cell in that row. If the user wishes to log an Ends event, the event type, etc would be copied to a new Event with the type 'Stop' and the button would disappear. I hope this makes sense. EDIT: Aaronaught's answer is actually better than what I was originally asking (a button) so I've updated the question. That way, anyone looking for putting a hyperlink in a cell can benefit from his example : )

  • How to Shutdown PC by Pressing Power Button without asking "Force Close"?

    - by AgA
    I always Hibernate my PC. Sometimes when I boot, it does not recognize the mouse/keyboard or any USB devices. I've also setup it to go in sleep in 5 minutes. In that case I can't restart the PC so that USB starts working. When I press the Power button then it starts shutdown but asks confirmation twice, one is for shutdown by force confirmation and then there is one more. When my USB is disabled I can't input these options. So I switch off the power. What I want is that upon pressing Power Button it should at once start shutdown without asking any more confirmations System details: Win-7 Home Premium 64 bit Intel i3 530 Asus P montherboard EDIT: It is Desktop PC
