    Hi all, I am using Expression Engine in part of a site I am developing and other parts are just using my own PHP. My question is how can I tell who the user is logged in as on a non-EE page? I have access to the EE cookies and the EE database but couldn't find a way to use these values to figure out who the user is.   • DPAPI + Entropy

    We have a WPF app that allows our users to download encrypted content and we want to provide the ability to decrypt this content off-line. The idea is to download the keys and store them using the DPAPI but I'm having trouble with the entropy parameter. Is there any way to generate an entropy to consistently use for the DPAPI functions with out hardcoding/storing them? Thanks Tony

  • How do I rewrite a plist if its data types are immutable?

    I am getting comfortable with using plists for initializing my app. I now want to save app state back to the plist used to initialize the app and I find myself stuck. At application startup I ingest the plist into an NSDictionary which is immutable. I now want to update the NSDictionary by replacing old values with new values for existing keys and write to the plist via [NSDictionary writeToFile:atomically]. How do I get around the immutability of NSDictionary? Thanks, Doug

    I didn't find an explicit answer to this question in the WiX Documentation (or Google, for that matter). Of course I could just write the appropriate registry keys in HKCR, but it makes me feel dirty and I'd expect this to be a standard task which should have a nice default solution. For bonus points, I'd like to know how to make it "safe", i.e. don't overwrite existing registrations for the file type and remove the registration on uninstall only if it has been registered during installation and is unchanged.

The GWT docs handle key events in input fields only. But I don't have an input field! Is this possible at all? Maybe it is a DOM/Javascript restriction that GWT cannot work around...

    I have TextBox and ListBox with bunch of elements. TextBox has KeyDown event handler, the idea behind this is to allow user to press up and down keys to scroll inside ListBox while focus is on TextBox. When user presses "down key" several times, selected element becomes last visible element on screen. If user has reached bottom of visible list element on screen, I want him to see next element after selected element as well.

  • How to make per- http Request cache in ASP.NET 3.5

    We using ASP.NET 3.5 (Controls-based apporach) and need to have storage specific for one http request only. Thread-specific cache with keys from session id won't work because threads are supposed to be pooled and therefore I have a chance to have data from some previous request in cache, which is undesireble in my case. I always need to have brand new storage for each request available through whole request. Any ideas how to do it in ASP.NET 3.5?

    I would like to return all messages from certain key to a certain key. The class should be thread-safe and old keys should be able to be deleted say for example after 30 seconds. I was thinking of using a concurrentskiplistset or concurrentskiplist map. Also I was thinking of deleting the items from inside a newSingleThreadScheduledExecutor.     Hey there, I'm currently working on an app which displays a bunch of files in a table, and you can add and remove them and whatsoever. To prevent duplicates in the table, I'd like to create a NSDictionary using the files full path as keys for another NSDictionary which contains all the file information, but I am a little concerned about the maximum key length of NSDictionary, and also whether this solution would be performance killer or not...
