• looking for a model number recommendation for a network setup of 49 switches [closed]

  im looking to setup a site with 49 edge switches connected by fiber to a central switch. 3 VLANs will be setup to handle data, telephony, and streaming media. each edge switch should have provision for 2 SFP modules for failover, and the core switch needs to have the provision to handle this failover. i'm getting lost on the Cisco site with their specs and recommendations. if anyone could suggest a suitable model number for the core switch and the edge switch, it would be really appreciated.

  Hello, I've setup the Django with mod_wsgi and run into this error. I thought maybe the sys.path was not setup correctly but I tried everything I could think of with no luck. Any suggestions?   I'm using FSharp.Compiler.CodeDom to dynamically create F# classes. The problem is, that I have both VS2008 and VS2010 on my computer side-by-side (they works fine), and using F# in this configuration is buggy at best: If I don't install InstallFSharp.msi, then under VS2008 the built classes complain about not finding FSharp.Core (even if they're referenced) If I install InstallFSharp.msi, then under VS2008 the built classes will use the F# built for VS2010, and will throw a binary-incompatibility exception, because it will load the .net4 variant: FSC: error FS0219: The referenced or default base CLI library 'mscorlib' is binary- incompatible with the referenced F# core library 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft F#\v4.0\FSharp.Core.dll'. Consider recompiling the library or making an explicit reference to a version of this library that matches the CLI version you are using. If I replace the F# found at the previous location to the separately installed dll-s, then of course VS2010 will complain about binary-incompatibility Am I overlooking something, or they won't simply work for a shared environment like this? I want to use the same values in ccnet config itself but when I try ccnet config has a problem.   Hey everybody, I developed an Eclipse plugin (a view) using the plugin development version of Eclipse. I exported the plugin as a jar archive and now I would like import it in another version of Eclipse, but it doesn't recognize the plugin. This is my first plugin so I might have forgotten something obvious. I searched the internet for hours but didn't find anything. Does anybody know what else I have to do? Btw, the dependencies of my plugin are: org.eclipse.ui, org.eclipse.core.runtime, org.eclipse.core.filesystem, edu.tum.cs.eclipse.commons, org.eclipse.ui.ide, org.eclipse.core.resources The version I'd like to import it in is the default Eclipse for PHP Developers from eclipse.org.   Hello folks, I am trying to install Flex 3 on my Windows 7 Virtual machine (parallels desktop) on my Mac Pro. The problem seems to be some sort of conflict between the copy of Flex 3 Builder installed on Mac OS X. The installer tries to install Flex in x:/Program Files/Adobe/Flex Builder 3/ but since Parallels Desktop connects all directories, there resides the Flex Builder 3 installation of MAC. But the browser is not storing the cookie. in external browser: the header doesn't have any set-cookie field. Should I use HTTPServletResponse? But shouldn't the javax.ws.rs.core.Response work as well?

• Why do I get this error when I try to push my SQLite3 to Postgresql (via Taps) on Cedar Stack?

  I've done quite a bit of research on Heroku Dev Center and I am now looking to the community for help. Here is my problem. I can not push my db to Heroku Cedar Stack. I am trying to migrate a sqlite database to postgresql via Taps gem. • Setup Padrino with DataMapper and MySQL database

  Hello I am trying to setup a Padrino project using DataMapper and MySQL on my Mac OSX Snow Leopard. I have the necessary gems: dm-core data_objects do_mysql mysql (linked to my original Mac OSX installation) But when I try to start the padrino with PADRINO START from the console, I get the following error: /Users/ivolution/.bundle/ruby/1.9.1/gems/dm-core-0.10.2/lib/dm-core/adapters/mysql_adapter.rb:3:in `require': no such file to load -- do_mysql (LoadError) But as I said I do have do_mysql gem installed so there shouldn't be such error, I did bundle install in my project folder before trying to start Padrino. Any ideas?

• Alternatives to GameKIt for iPhone to iPhone transfer

  I am needing to transfer information as an NSData object from one iPhone to another inside an application and was originally planning on using Bluetooth/GameKit, but the data looks like it will be in the neighborhood of 500KB - 1MB in size. I don't think this is going to fly with GameKit (Bluetooth) as it will take forever and it seems like people are having all kinds of issues with GK anyway. I'd prefer the users to not have to be on the same WiFi network to make it work but am running out of options and time so I'd probably be happy with whatever works. What is a reasonable alternative? The simpler the setup the better or something with sample code would be greatly appreciated and preferred. Thanks.

• iPhone to iPhone communication

  Hi, I have been looking into communication methods between two iPhone devices and as I understand it there are two main methods to do this: Bluetooth and WiFi. However I wanted to know if anyone knows of any other way of sharing information between two iPhones? If I were in an area with no WiFi or mobile signal, and couldn't use Bluetooth for whatever reason, is there anything that could be done to broadcast data from one iPhone to another? I'm sure its a bit of a silly question, but if you don't ask, you don't get; and if someone knows of anything I might be able to look into with regards to this, I would be very appreciative. • Configure JBOss cache to run on JBoss server 4.2.3.GA

  Our commercial application used to run on different application server and letely we started adjust it to run on JBoss server. The problem is that that application runs JBoss cache and as part of the integration with this framework, the web-inf\lib contains the follwing jars: jboss-aop.jar, jbosscache-core.jar, jboss-common.jar, jboss-common-core.jar, jboss-j2ee.jar, jboss-jmx.jar, jboss-logging-spi.jar This causes a problem to use JNDI through the application because the jboss-common-core.jar contain naming package that cause JBoss JNDI to work incorrect. So I need to find a way to organise my jars that on one hand jboss cache will keep working and on the other hand not to interfere to the work of JNDI Perhaps it include moving the some or all those jars from the web-inf\lib to the /server/default/lib Looking for someone who is familiar in this subject (continue of this thread: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2847375/problem-configure-jboss-to-work-with-jndi3 )

• Weird Mono compilation error

  Hi, I am using IKVM to get SVNKit on a Mono project I'm working with, I have a class that implements an interface from SVNKit, and I can't compile: On windows and on .NET, everything compiles fine, just getting this on Mono. /home/nubela/Workspace/subsync/subsync/Core/Subversion/PropGetHandler.cs(22,22): Error CS0535: Subsync.Core.Subversion.PropGetHandler' does not implement interface member org.tmatesoft.svn.core.wc.ISVNPropertyHandler.__()' (CS0535) (subsync) I googled _() method, and it seems to be the initializer method for the base class in the Java library compiled from IKVM. I have no clue how to proceed now, any idea guys? :)

• Is it possible to load ListPreference items from an adapter?

  I'm setting out to create a settings activity for my app. I've defined a PreferenceActivity with a nice layout including a ListPreference object for the user to select a bluetooth device. I'm having trouble dynamically populating the list. I would like to populate ListPreference with values from an array adapter (which I'll create and populate with relevant bluetooth device names). If this were a spinner View, I could just call setAdapter(). However with the ListPreference object I can't figure out how to attach an adapter (findviewByID won't cast from View To ListPreference, so I can't even get a handle to the object). I would like to attach an adapter and then populate the adapter with values, which in turn would populate the ListPreference with values.

• WCSF vs MEF, What's Best For Me?

  Hey fellows, I'm working on a large web application that includes many modules (CRM, Inventory, Administration, etc.) What I want to accomplish is to be able develop each of these modules independently (the UI, Core Logic, DataAccess Logic, and all) and then integrate them all together into a core module (this integration should only be a change in the configuration file). For example, if I have a core module named Host, I should be able to add the CRM module to the host module by simply adding this line to the host's configuration file: <module name="CRM" /> I did some reading on the WCSF, and found that it can help integrate some modules together, but it really doesn't offer so much help in terms of integrating those UI elements. Some friends suggested MEF for the job, but I haven't looked at that yet. What do you guys think? Is it possible to achieve this level of modularity, and how much work do I have to put into it to get it working?

  I have two maven projects Project AAA * AAA-Core * AAA-Other Project BBB * BBB-Core * BBB-AAA-specific I want to create a build plan in Bamboo to build the BBB-AAA-specific project. The plan configuration is such that this project depends on the AAA-Other projec build. Thus everything should work ok. But when I try to run the BBB-AAA-specific Bamboo plan I get an error that states: "Unable to find resource 'foo.bar.AAA:AAA:pom:0.0.1-SNAPSHOT' in repository snapshots (http://foo.bar.com)" What is going on? The bamboo builds for "AAA-Core" and "AAA-Other" work as expected.

• classes and static variables in shared libraries

  I am trying to write something in c++ with an architecture like: App -- Core (.so) <-- Plugins (.so's) for linux, mac and windows. The Core is implicitly linked to App and Plugins are explicitly linked with dlopen/LoadLibrary to App. The problem I have: static variables in Core are duplicated at run-time -- Plugins and App have different copys of them. at least on mac, when a Plugin returns a pointer to App, dynamic casting that pointer in App always result in NULL. Can anyone give me some explanations and instructions for different platforms please? I know this may seem lazy to ask them all here but I really cannot find a systematic answer to this question.

  Yesterday I created a simple image servlet and attempted to deploy it. I am getting an error on JBoss startup, and then further errors on trying to invoke the servlet. I spent about 8 hours yesterday searching the web for answers and trying different scenarios. I ended up making my JBoss problems worse and then fixing them, but I never did get the servlet to work. This actually works and outputs the correct debug sequences to the log indicating that the Servlet constructor and doGet methods were called. I also tried following some instructions for creating/deploying a very simple HelloWorld servlet, and that has exactly the same problem. Note that web.xml already contained a servlet put there by JBoss: org.jboss.web.tomcat.service.StatusServlet -- that Servlet does not give any errors in the log. As an experiment, I removed ".web" from that path and ended up getting exactly the same error as I'm getting on my Servlet. So it would appear that JBoss is not able to locate my Servlet given the specified path. Just for kicks, I've tried all sorts of other paths, like just plain MyImageServlet, controller.MyImageServlet, and more. Also, the servlet was originally named ImageServlet, but I attempted the name change thinking maybe there was some conflict with an existing ImageServlet. In all cases, the behavior is the same. After all of my research yesterday, I would say that this appears to be a problem with the JBoss servlet container, and I also learned that JBoss 5.1.0.GA should come bundled with a tomcat servlet container. I installed JBoss on my PC (Windows XP) myself less than 2 months ago (from jboss.org) and used it pretty much as is. Note that I am running on JDK 1.6, so I did use the jboss-jdk6 installation version. I am running on Windows, but I also deploy to a Linux virtual dedicated server. I deployed the current version of my program, including the servlet to the Linux box, but I get the exact same errors. I'm reluctant to just try reinstalling JBoss, since it's hard to place the blame on the JBoss installation when I get the same errors on two completely different installations. I am a bit suspicious of the bundled tomcat servlet container, because using eclipse, I haven't been able to locate any indication that there is a tomcat bundled into JBoss. I did locate servlet-api.jar in the JBoss common/lib directory. This is on the eclipse build path. One possibly useful note: I had previously used a standalone tomcat server for other projects using the same eclipse, so maybe it's some sort of eclipse issue? But, as I said, I do get the same errors when I deploy to the Linux server, and that deployment process just involves ftping files to the server and then putting them into the deployed war package and restarting JBoss. I made a student check_list program thats using bluetooth adapter searches students cell phones bluetooth and checks that are they present or not and saves students informtion with date in table on data base.all them works gereat.But I want to make it automatic that I will put my program on some computer like works as an server and program will make search every lessons start time like 08.30 , 10.25 ... My question is how to use timer? I know how to use timer but How can I use it on every lessons start time?I have table that includes start time of lessons. Also am I have to stop timer after search ends?And If I stop timer could I re-run timer againg? And one additional question that how can I track that new students come or some body left class room?
