• Disable IPV6 on specific NIC via PowerShell using a Com Object on Windows Server 2008 R2?

  I need to script some Windows Server 2008 R2 builds, preferably in PowerShell. I need to disable or uncheck IPV6 on a specific NIC (the same NIC every time). Currently, I have to set it manually. I do not want to disable IPV6 completely for the entire server other things may use that in the future. Is there an object I can reference in a PowerShell command specifying my NIC "Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection" and disable IPV6? Unfortunately, Group Policy is not an option says the boss. I've tried finding an appropriate WMI object via "PowerShell Scriptomatic" but failed to find the difference between an enabled setting versus disabled on the Intel NIC. Thanks in advance.

  I've got a Perl script, let's call it A.pl where the first two lines look something like this: require 'B.pl'; require 'C.pl'; Where both B.pl and C.pl each have their own cavalcade of requires. I need to set a breakpoint on a specific line of C.pl. In GDB I'd do something like: b C.pl:830 However that doesn't seem to work at all here. Is it possible? Am I close?

  I'm using jQuery to add icons to specific links, e.g. a myspace icon for sites starting with http://myspace.com etc. However, I can't figure out how to use regular expressions (if that's even possible here), to make jQuery recognize the link either with or without "www." (I'm very bad at regular expressions in general). Here are two examples: $("a[href^='http://www.last.fm']").addClass("lastfm").attr("target", "_blank"); $("a[href^='http://livejournal.com']").addClass("livejournal").attr("target", "_blank"); They work fine, but I now I want the last.fm link to work with http://last.fm, http://www.last.fm and http://www.lastfm.de. Currently it only works for www.last.fm. I also would like to make the livejournal link work with subdomains links like http://username.livejournal.com How can I do that? Thanks in advance!

  Hello, Im looking a way to use different IP addresses for each GET request with standard Net::HTTP library. Server has 5 ip addresses and assuming that some API`s are blocking access when request limit per IP is reached. So, only way to do it - use another server. I cant find anything about it in ruby docs. For example, curl allows you to attach it to specific ip address (in PHP): $req = curl_init($url) curl_setopt($req, CURLOPT_INTERFACE, 'ip.address.goes.here'; $result = curl_exec($req); Is there any way to do it with Net::HTTP library? As alternative - CURB (ruby curl binding). But it will be the latest thing i`ll try. Suggestions / Ideas?

  Hi, I have paperclip in Rails (3) working with simple cropping, for example the blow code makes a simple crop of the thumbnail: has_attached_file :image, :styles => { :thumb => "90x90#" }, :default_style => :thumb However I was wondering how do you crop a very specific area of an image; lets say you have an x and y coordinate to start from and then a width and height of the crop.   I'm working on a website using webforms (although I'd be keen to hear how this works with MVC) and I'm trying to figure out the best approach for rendering content for mobile devices. Usually when I'm working on sites that have to be viewed on mobile devices, I use media queries to style the content differently. The problem is that in my current scenario I'm trying to display different content altogether, rather than just changing the layout of existing content. What's the preferred approach for this? I've had a look at 'device specific rendering' on msdn (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hkx121s4.aspx) although I'm not sure if this is a good approach? What are the pros/cons/alternatives? Thank you EDIT: I've found this but it's for use with mvc4, not webforms. EDIT #2: I think I've found what I'm after here but is this a good approach?

  How do you show ajax gif only for a specific request? For example my page is calling a web-service every 30 seconds in a background, and I don't want to show the gif during this callback. On the other hand I want to show the gif, when I'am making manual ajax requests. I am using jQuery. edit: I didn't setup the global handler as shown here http://api.jquery.com/ajaxStart/, just by attaching to the .ajaxStart event. But I don't want to show/hide the gif manually on every request too. I need some generic solution.

  So I do this to retrieve my entire table: $result = mysql_query( 'SELECT * FROM mytable' ); Then, in another part of my PHP-page, I do another query (for a specific row): $result2 = mysql_query( 'SELECT * FROM mytable WHERE id = ' . $id ); $row = mysql_fetch_array( $result2 ); So, I'm performing two querys. However, I don't really have to do that, do I? I mean, the row that I'm retrieving in my second query already is present in $result (the result of my first query), since it contains my entire table. Therefore, instead of doing the second query, I would like to extract the desired row from $result directly (while keeping $result itself in tact). How would I do that?   I've got blocks of text with various specs in them and want to have jquery highlight whatever matches a specific pattern without inserting any extra html. The following is the kind of text that I've got to work with. • Hudson: where to download file and stop specific builds running ?

  I have a file that is generated inside (hudson server) /var/lib/hudson/jobs/jobtitle/1/out.txt I need to fetch this file, but doing a GET request for http://myhudson:8090/job/jobtitle/1/out.txt doesn't actually locate the file. Basically, I have another box that will grab this file from the hudson server. This box will make the out.txt file available for download. Another challenge is the build number directories. How would I be able to use the hudson API to stop or delete the specific builds running ? I am forced to do iterate through all build numbers to send STOP or DELETE api call in php using wget to do the REST API call. I'm trying to work out how I would loop through a 8 bit binary word and check the value of specific bits. • Which tool can list writing access to a specific variable in C?

  Unfortunately I'm not even sure how this sort of static analysis is called. It's not really control flow analysis because I'm not looking for function calls and I don't really need data flow analysis because I don't care about the actual values. I just need a tool that lists the locations (file, function) where writing access to a specific variable takes place. I don't even care if that list contained lines that are unreachable. I could imagine that writing a simple parser could suffice for this task but I'm certain that there must be a tool out there that does this simple analysis. As a poor student I would appreciate free or better yet open source tools and if someone could tell me how this type of static analysis is actually called, I would be equally grateful! EDIT: I forgot to mention there's no pointer arithmetic in the code base.

  I have fileA.php on SERVER_A and fileB.php on SERVER_B fileB.php makes a curl request to fileA.php for it's contents How can fileA.php determine that the request is coming specifically from fileB.php? -- I was thinking about sending the $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] in fileB.php to fileA.php but since someone can go into fileB.php or any file in general and just do $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] = 'fileB.php'; it's not really that secure. So how can I determine, for security reasons, that the request is coming from a specific file on a different server?

  Currently one of our databases (SQL Server 2008) is accessed via a number of different mechanisms: .Net SqlClient Data Provider; SQL Server Management Studio; various .Net applications and 2007 Microsoft Office system (basically Excel). I see that in the sys.dm_exec_sessions DMV it is possible to see the program name of the program accessing the database for the current sessions. My question is: is it possible for one to deny access from a particular named program? First prize would be if this could be done for any named program, but we would gain a great deal of benefit from being able to deny access to this specific database from all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).

  I know that you can either step into every property or not step into every property, but I would really like to be able to step into a specific property, and not the rest. Is this possible? (I also know I can use keyboard commands, but I'm asking if there's a more permanent solution.) I have a lot of properties and my setters do important things, so it's silly to step over them, but most of my getters are pointless. I just wanted to give preference in case there's more than one way to skin a cat, so to speak.

  I am trying to figure out how I can define an autocmd that influences all files under a specific path. The autocmd I have tried is something like autocmd BufNewFile,BufRead /specificPath/** imap <buffer> .... Now, I'd expect this autocmd to be used if I edited, say, /foo/bar/specificPath/baz/something/bla.txt, but not if I edited /foo/bar/here/and/there/moreBla.txt If I start vim being in a directory 'above' specificPath, this works as I want it. But it doesn't if I am below that directory. Obviously, the autocmd's pattern is matched against the relative file name, not the absolute one.

  Hi all, i am wondering how can i select specific number of child objects instead of taking them all with include? lets say i have object 'Group' and i need to select last ten students that joined the group. When i use '.Include("Students"), EF includes all students. I was trying to use Take(10), but i am pretty new to EF and programming as well, so i couldn't figure it out. Any suggestions? UPDATED: ok, i have Group object already retrieved from db like this: Group group = db.Groups.FirstOrDefault(x=>x.GroupId == id) I know that i can add Include("Students") statement, but that would bring ALL students, and their number could be quite big whether i need only freshest 10 students. Can i do something like this: var groupWithStudents = group.Students.OrderByDescending(//...).Take(10);? The problem with this is that Take< no longer appears in intellisense. Is this clear enough?
