• DropDownList selectedValue not changing display

  I have a list of controls that I change based on an event. The controls are contained within a table that is created dynamically. I traverse through a set of controls and if it is a RadioButtonList or a DropDownList I do the following: CType(cntrl, ListControl).SelectedValue = val The radio buttons set just fine but the dropdown list doesn't reset. Can anyone tell me why. The initial table is created on the first Page Load and stored in memory. It's values are changed during the eventhandling and reposted to a MasterPage's content holder.

  On my webpage when i press command link its opening a new page perfectly on IE7/Firefox 3/Chrome/Safari 4.0.4 but after this none of the parent page's command buttons are not working ,this happens only in safari.I am using JSF 1.2 mojara.   I have a template that shows a filter form and below it a list of the result records. I bind the form to the request so that the filter form sets itself to the options the user submitted when the results are returned. I also use pagination. Using the code in the pagination documentation means that when the user clicks for the next page, the form data is lost. What is the best way of dealing with pagination and filtering in this way? Passing the querystring to the paginiation links. Change the pagination links to form buttons and therefore submit the filter form at the same time, but this assumes that the user hasn't messed about with the filter options. As above but with the original data as hidden fields. ALJ

  Hi all I have a scenario in which I need to design online keyboard with buttons implementing different mathematical functions in ASP.NET. For example 1) A button called "Fraction" Onclicking= should display A numerator and a denominator separated by '-' with empty fields. Just as we write fractions manually. Now when the user clicks on this button the cursor should focus on numerator displaying 'the division line' and then by pressing 'Down' arrow key(on computr keyboard) should focus on denominator allowing users to enter both fields. Keeping it simple the user should be able to toggle between numerator and denominator. Please help me with some sample code. I have got no idea. Thanks in advance

• SDK Facebook app - allow to use the app only on FB, not on my website

  I am newbie in creating apps for Facebook and I would like to ask you about a few things. I created my first app, in the settings I set up the domain URL, canvas URL, etc... when I load the app via apps.facebook.com/my_app_name the app is working, but also when I visit the page via the canvas URL I configured. Is there any way to only allow access to the app only when loaded inside the Facebook chrome? Also, in the app that I made are some links, buttons, etc. and when you hover over them with the mouse you can see my own domain in the status bar below. Is there a way to change that?

  My problem is about tap detection. I have a uiviewcontroller and there are some controls on uiview (labels, buttons, tableview, imageview, etc..) When I tap the uibutton I display a small uiview (200x150), if the user taps the uibuttons in smallview I hide the smallview. But I can't hide the uiview if the user taps the background. I tried this code.. -(void) touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event{ //NSLog(@"Touches began."); [self hideShareView]; } It doesn't work if I tap the another button in the uiviewcontrols view. I just want my uiviewcontrol's uiview to react first. I think its about firstResponder but I dont know how to set it first. edit: i want it to work like a uiPopover in ipad.

Function X parses a large database and enumerates some of its data in the global collection. Button 1 calls function X. Function Y walks through the above collection and prints out the data in the textbox. Button 2 calls function Y. I'd like to call function X through a worker thread in such a way that: The form remains responsive to user input. This comes intrinsically from the use of a separate thread. There is never more than a single instance of function X running at any point in time. K can be accessed by both functions at all times. • Expression Blend 3 (Silverlight) gives me nothing on project compile

  When I press F5 the project compiles, and the new web page launches. However, the silverlight control loads (the standard load counter counts to 100%) but then the whole control just disappear. Only the left default menu bar (feedback etc) is visible. It's a very small project, my first actually. This also happened earlier today, but then I removed each thing one at a time and found that it was some radio buttons that caused it. I deleted them and remade them and it ran fine again. Now the same thing happened again, but it is something else, not sure yet. The question is; is this a familiar bug or am I just doing something wrong? My code-behind consist mostly of visibility changes, around 20 lines of code.

  I have a list with a dataprovider, it lists out buttons encapsulated in an item renderer. All I want it to do is have a skin that it changes to when it is clicked. I can get this to happen, but then it just goes back to its up state. I want it to stick on the down state, which I have to do by disabling the button. • ASP.NET: How to specify which button should defaultly react for an Enter press?

  I have a webpage where there are two buttons and a textbox. When the page loads and user presses enter, the first button is clicked - and that is ok. I would like to assure that if user enters the textBox and types anything there and THEN presses enter, the second button is clicked. When I enter the textBox I can tell that the first button will be used when I press enter, because it is a bit dark-blue-bordered then. I tried javascript's if (event && event.keyCode == 13) document.getElementById("Button2").click(); but it somehow doesn't work. So my second thought was that there must be a possibility to tell the browser which button should defaultly react for an enter press when I'm in a specific textBox (the dark-blue-bordered button). Edit: it might matter that first button is input and the second one is asp:Button

  Using this bootstrap modal extension and animate.css for fun, how can I take a make an easy ajax modal using :remote => true to fill in the modal box? Also, how would I use the bootstrap modal default "submit/cancel" buttons to interact with a form that's loaded? I'm looking for a more dynamic solution instead of hard-html-ing every modal into the page or using a bunch of jquery ajax calls for each dialog. • How do I determine the dimensions of a .NET listview at runtime?

  I have a form with a split container and each panel has a list view and some buttons. I wanted to make sure that the header and at least two rows are visible in a listview. I originally determined the values for panel1MinSize & panel2MinSize by fine tuning the values visually (on my XP development machine). This approach was fine until I tested my app on Windows Vista - the basic dimensions of the listview are different and the listview is too small. To overcome this I believe I need to determine the listview dimensions at runtime and do some maths to set the panel min size but I can't see how to do this. Is this the right approach or is there an easier way?

• Can you control pinterest's "find image" results?

  Rather than add Pin It buttons through our site, I would like to simply control what images show up in Pinterest's "Find Image" results if a user decides to pin one of our URLs. As of now, "Find Images" allows the user to scroll through the images it finds on the page so they can select which image to pin. The "found" images start with the first jpg in the html file, I'm assuming (could that be a bad assumption??). On our site, this forces a user to scroll through about 15 navigation and promotion images before arriving at the featured product image. Is there any way to specify this image to show first in those results? Maybe through a meta tag, or by adding a class or id to the element? Without a public Pinterest API, this seems like just guesswork, but I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this, or solved this. Thanks.
